While red is a classic Golf GTI color. I've always thought it washes out some of the details of the car. Like the rear lights, red calibers and especially the logos and red front line. Kind of a shame.
Couldn't agree more. Which is why I ordered my 18 GTI Autobahn in Dark Iron Metallic Blue. Love it. In 2009 I bought a brand new GLI. It was Salsa red. First thing I did was change out the tail lights. Bought silver ones. Really knocked down that "washed out" look.
Great review as always.Great to see Brian doing more car reviews. All presenters really do a great job with so many new cars it's good to see that you cover so many. A+
I changed my 2014 performance pack 3 door night blue gti for a 2017 white 5 door performance pack gti facelift and it feels like a better car keep up the great reviews
I would have liked a GTI, but i could afford a Golf TSI and I still love it! ITs quick and fun switching between the paddle shifters and Automatic with the DSG. Nothing is like stick, but its still fun. Great car!
Awesome review. So good to hear that clean and clear English language and all useful information that comes along. No offence to Thomas, but you should appear on this channel more often. Cheers!
So much wrong and missing information... no talk about the most different thing: the mechanical Diff - HUGE difference, thats what makes the performance the performance....PLEASE mention this... its not 245ps and 350nm its 245 and 370nm... also very important: the 6 gear DSG farts, the 7-gear DSG does not anymore. cmon guys...
Thanks Brian, excellent review! I like what VW has done for this facelift. Some decent updates, although not enough to make me run to the dealer and trade in my current Golf 7 GTI! :-) One minor thing: you mention several times that the engine has 350 NM of torque, but the performance version actually has 370 NM. (The standard GTI still has 350 though). It's plenty either way, it's one of the things that I enjoy most about this car..
The wheels on the that car are the standard 18" wheels. There is no 17" option on the UK GTi. The rear spoiler is the same for the standard GTi and Performance Pack models.
Did Thomas leave the channel? I had thought he basically was the channel and added a coulee other staff to keep up, or was he the talent and it owned by someone else? If he's doing his own thing-- I'm on board with that!
I am writing a comment late in Feb 2019. I have a mark 7 2016 GTI, which I am replacing next week by a new facelift performance version. Why not wait for a mark 8? Because there is precious little info on its spec..... Mild hybrid only? .... no manual (love manuals)? ...... actual date for the GTI version?.... oh and f****** Brexit, with rumours of price hikes. Settling for the facelift seemed an obvious choice.
The automatic DSG will response much faster than manual switching from Drive to Sport Mode. Manual= Tap Mode then select Sport Mode then wait like 1 or 2 secs to be actived Automatic=Tap knob once when you in Drive then it's Sport Mode just like that
Nice car but the wheels have zero style. Wheels look about 15% away from a solid block of round metal, they even painted massive chunks black to hide how much metal there is. Standard Wheels on GTD are way better and look more sportier. I always enjoy this channels reviews the best of any.
Don't get a manual gear box if you are going to modify it unless you want to also upgrade the clutch because the clutch in this POS can't handle much more than the stock output. Also worth noting that change in sound is fake. It has a fake engine sound system so most of the engine noise you hear in the cabin is phony.
which is good because after 5 minutes when it gets annoying you can turn it off which you can't do in a 1,2 clio with a Heinz baked bean exhaust system.
I really like your videos very much, and I'm so happy that the Golf GTI test car that you featured is equipped according to the way I want my dream GTI to become. May I know the camera that is attached into the driver side window that records the video from 15:28?
Sorry but I really didn't find this review that helpful or great to watch. Other than mentioning the extra power and different brakes there was nothing about the electro diff which is extra over the standard car. Also didn't understand the problem regarding the plastic dash, how does it differ from any other car and what else do you expect it to be made from other than plastic? And just to top it off you filmed and continued to drive at high speed with the tyre warning light on, well done, very professional.
Nice review, Brian. Each iteration of the Golf looks much the same, but evolution beats revolution, in this case. Why does it need the exhaust from the Space Shuttle, by the way?
As for the interior sense of plastic-y ....Would the GTI's Leather Interior option change this? .. Is there a spot of leather on the door card possibly? .. Good call on the plastic-y interior aesthetic,, its something our eyes do not forgive. .. Nice review!
Brian's point was about the dashboard. The leather interior is no option at all as it makes the seats from animal origin. If you are interested in the background of that, I can provide you with extensive resources. Thanks for watching!
To bad that the quality of plastic seem's to have changed. .. The interior materials of my MkV GTI is tier one. .. Quality plastics and quality seating surfaces.
here the leather background if you wanna know more btw We have researched this issue for many years now so please take your time to go through our extensive resources stated below as they answer every single question we have yet received concerning this matter. At Autogefühl, we have already received several thousands (!) comments, messages and mails that more and more people want to combine enjoying their car with reducing the environmental impact at the same time. We believe that sustainable luxury is possible or at least we should do everything to support that. Those many thousand people confirming this trend, motivate us to give you the most authentic information and background on the product parts. It is not about what you bought in the past, and it is not about blaming anyone, it is about what you decide in the future and what you can decide and influence as a customer. So we want you to have all information that you need for a decision you later enjoy and like best yourself. Check out our special video addressing car CEOs as a first summary and also see conditions of animal skin production: th-cam.com/video/LNSUzZXzpdc/w-d-xo.html List of practical reasons against animal skin seats:
1. animal skin seats are often sold as an expensive option, by going for base trim level seats you can save a lot of money and get a better price-performance-deal (often the manufacturers claim that animal leather is top of luxury because they can earn the best money with it) 2. animal skin seats get hot in summer and you stick to the seat, probably you need seat cooling 3. they get very cold in winter and you need seat heating 4. on cloth or microfibre surfaces, you basically don’t need seat heating nor cooling 5. animal skin seats wear out very fast and look like an old sofa 6. if you want leather look or need seats that can be wiped clean easier, the leatherette (faux leather) surfaces are meanwhile highly evolved and it is possible that it feels even softer and better than anything else (See our Tesla Model X review th-cam.com/video/y2wNGFKa4M0/w-d-xo.html) So Tesla shows a good example for that 7. More manufacturer names for their good alternatives: Mercedes MBTex/Artico for leatherette, Dinamica for microfibre. BMW Sensatec, Toyota Sof-Tex, Lexus Nu-Luxe (all faux leather)
To the environmental reasons:
1. The way the cows and other intelligent and social animals are raised and held are not according to the basic values that we all share (also see videos below) 2. The factory farming industry can be accounted for at least 40 % of climate emissions and thus is (according to numerous sources you can look up) the number one reason for climate change and environmental destruction. It is the number one reason for deforestation, two thirds of all agricultural land on earth is used for growing animal food crops. If you would feed humans directly by using the agricultural land, you could produce much more food for everyone. See this interesting essay for more on climate emissions background: www.worldwatch.org/files/pdf/Livestock%20and%20Climate%20Change.pdf 3. It is not only cows who are suffering, but also the environment and to a big part also humans. Think of slavery-like working conditions in slaughterhouses (there are plenty of documentaries about this) or think of chemically altered drinking water in animal skin production villages as also seen in the video footage. 4. The discussion, for which body part the cow is killed first, is very patronizing. But if you really think it would be important why someone gets killed in first place: There are many productions where the cow is killed for the skin first, sometimes even while still being (part-)alive, the skin is the most profitable single part of the body. 5. So even if a cow gets theoretically killed for meat first, in every case you give additional money to an industry that relies on killing, pollutes the environment and harms people with chemicals. Let's say you are standing at the meat counter. And you ask for the leg of the cow. The butcher tells you: "You can eat that without worrying, the cow was slaughtered for the neck first". The next customer demands the neck. The butcher tells him: "It's not your fault, the cow was slaughtered for the belly". A the next customer demands the hide, what answer does he get? You see, that argument of "byproduct" comes from the meat and leather industry to cover up that you contribute to killing no matter which part of the body you buy. 6. To the often said argument, animal skin would just be a byproduct, please google/youtube "leather is not a byproduct" you will find plenty of information. A good overview on all those issues can also be found here: adaptt.org/
To “But leatherette is not sustainable due to petrochemical production” 1. Indeed some fabrics and micro fibres are oil based, however most oil is spent on energy production, heating and fuel. The share of oil used for artificial cloth etc. is very very small. 2. If you look at the whole production process, the leatherette is way more sustainable than the leather produce. 3. The best to-come solution are indeed plant-based materials like Pinatex (based on pineapple leaves) or new materials based on mycelia (roots of mushrooms) or other innovative natural products. That’s the future.

This is another video which very well summarizes the torture of leather production, shots taken at big farms which directly produce for the automotive industry: th-cam.com/video/OgHs239bAnE/w-d-xo.html 5. Please note that those videos are made by well-known journalists and cameramen who were not influenced by any animal welfare organisation, they supply their footage to the animal rights groups of course. I partly know the creators of the video footage personally and they are all authentic. You don’t have to search long to find cruel production environments anyway.
Manufacturers reactions: We started the very first inquiry years ago, with the result that car manufacturers do not reveal their sources of animal skin AT ALL. If it all would be clean and happening without harm, why don’t they show it to us whereas they are showing us every other detail of their products? They have good reason not to, because there is no such thing as a clean animal skin production without harming cows, humans and the environment. The only thing a manufacturer can do is increase their effort for a better future, and we are helping with in-depth talks and interviews by presenting the increasing customer demand for sustainable luxury. So meanwhile, we more often also get feedback that a lot of manufacturers are working on leather-free interiors and are aware of the situation. E.g. Bentley, Mini and Kia have started vegan car interior programmes. Tesla and Mercedes are already showing major choices for sustainable interiors, you always have to pay attention to the details when ordering, of course - and we are happy to give advice. However, much has to be done still and the Autogefuehl community is massively helping in boosting the positive change!
+1. This is a passionate subject for you. .. Here is a 2014 documentary which will open many eyes, it did mine. .. Maybe you know this documentary film?. .. Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret ..
I wish in the future that this golf gti aka my dream car's engine we'll grow bigger like the golf r and also I hope I get a golf gti when I'm a grown up
VW board: "How do we squeeze maximum profit out of each car?" VW hero: "I know - expensive optional features - they cost us very little to bolt-on and the customers just lap them up! We just have to give fully loaded cars to journalists and they make it sound as though drivers actually need them!" VW board: "Yay! And we make even more money when those extra features have to be repaired!"
"Feels a bit on the plastic side... unexciting around town..." We hope GTI is fun all time! Even at 5 km/h. In town. Agree DCC is good on a MQB. For me there to much vid on brian face, sorry brian! Brian nice guy! But not enough vid forrard thru wind shield! No HUD on golf yet. Shame. Like all sofisticated infotainment display, they can distract driver, err, as illustrated. Good work autogefuhl - all autogefuhl team.
würde mich mal interessieren, weil viel Geld spart man mit nem Diesel ja nicht mehr unbedingt. Oder was wäre da die Motivation? Interessierst du dich mehr für GTD als für GTI ?
I think this looks more sporty and agressive than the 7.5 r unless you look from the back of the r and you see the quad exhausts then you know the r mean business 😎😂🤗🤓😆🙃🤣
Next week I'll buy the r because the gti hasn't enough power for me the sound isn't good enough and it's way too slow my mother has an Audi Q3 which is only 0,2 seconds slower than the gti the r is in another league but in looks the gti is definetely amazing and a lot cheaper.
They're both in different categories, one's a sedan and the other's a hatchback. Depends on what you prioritise though, Space and Fuel Economy, vs a Smaller and Convenient car that's Fun. Performance wise, the GTI wins, no contest. Practicality, the Mazda 6 is really practical, not saying the GTI isn't but the heaps of room space makes a difference. The Mazda 6 is still a fun car to drive though. As for city driving, I find the Mazda 6 to be more comfortable and relaxing to drive, whether you got the 2.0 or 2.5 SkyActiv engine, you save a lot on fuel vs the GTI. For Mazda 6 Space and Size, Practicality, Comfort and Fuel Economical For GTI Fun, your good 'ol favourite performance hatchback, convenient in tight places But just go and give them a test drive LOL
The wheels are awful. There are though much better wheels to put in the golf gti performance. Overall the entire car and this tornado red color is in my opinion one of the most beautiful cars vw cars ever created! 🎉🎉🎉😂😂
The same plastic feeling on R-MODEL, a car for over 50 K euro and over with a few options, and don't think it's worth the money. Drive my self peugeot 308 gt diesel, and I can't tell that the interior is way better.
American version don't get none of this nice stuff. I ended up getting a 2017 Sport on end-of-model-year sale instead. Only way to get the digital dash here is to get the R.
One of the best car in the world
This channel really have so many profesional reviewers. Best car review channel in every medium. Good job Autogefühl!
+Lazeran 👏👏👏
My GTI performance is in its way. I ve seen dozens of reviews of it, and I honestly say this is one of the best (if not the best) Congratulations!
Enjoy 😊 - maybe also our newer one?
Love Brians reviews!
enjoy =)
Great review, Brian. Many thanks ;-)
thanks =)
While red is a classic Golf GTI color. I've always thought it washes out some of the details of the car. Like the rear lights, red calibers and especially the logos and red front line.
Kind of a shame.
philip s if you get a chance to see one in person. IORN BLUE on the GTI looks incredible
Ye thought so. White Clubsport is beautiful.
I have white. Looks great, and I've never been a white car fan before
Sorry... The classic is warm white...
Great review as always.Great to see Brian doing more car reviews. All presenters really do a great job with so many new cars it's good to see that you cover so many. A+
:)
just bought a GTI SE, and I love it, including the interior. good review.
I changed my 2014 performance pack 3 door night blue gti for a 2017 white 5 door performance pack gti facelift and it feels like a better car keep up the great reviews
thanks keep following us!
I would have liked a GTI, but i could afford a Golf TSI and I still love it! ITs quick and fun switching between the paddle shifters and Automatic with the DSG. Nothing is like stick, but its still fun. Great car!
Fun fact- Tornado red has been on every single golf GTI since the Mk1
All mark 1's came in Mars Red. 1st mark 2's were Mars also I think. Tornado was introduced in 87 i think.
GunnySerg actually you are right I forgot about mars red.
Since Mk2*
f181234 no
Actually the Mk1 Golf Gti had Mars Red as an option. I had a Lhasa Green one which I thought was a great colour.
"I'd still like a knob!" 11:17
Awesome review. So good to hear that clean and clear English language and all useful information that comes along. No offence to Thomas, but you should appear on this channel more often. Cheers!
Cheers!
I ❤️ the GTI, but I bought an R and it's amazing 😉
sam67uk I’m thinking of getting another R. I had a Mk6 R20 but I like the 7.5R
One minor thing: you mention several times that the engine has 350 NM of torque, but the performance version actually has 370 NM. (The standard GTI still has 350 though). It's plenty either way, it's one of the things that I enjoy most about this car..
thanks Gerard!
The wheels on the that car are the standard 18" wheels. There is no 17" option on the UK GTi.
The rear spoiler is the same for the standard GTi and Performance Pack models.
Very good presentation of the GTI facelift
+Lionel Moussault 👍👍
Next to Thomas, Brian is the best reviewer on Autogefuhl;) Good job Brian!
+Marko Horvat 👏👏
since I love thomas reviews, I was a bit hesitant to click on this one. no doubt that brian makes a wonderful job of those reviews!
+Timo 👍👍
Wörther See and a Golf GTI, can't imagine a better combination for holiday :)
My 2017 Autobahn is in Deep Black Pearl and I think it just looks so badass yet very classy and of course any colors just pop off of a black backdrop.
You forgot the only important thing with GTI Performance: The VAQ ! How can you forget that? I miss Thomas!
Did Thomas leave the channel? I had thought he basically was the channel and added a coulee other staff to keep up, or was he the talent and it owned by someone else? If he's doing his own thing-- I'm on board with that!
I was hoping Thomas would have made the review, haven't seen him in some time
I am surprised that not one word was mentioned on the VAQ while that extra 15hp was repeated three times.
I had a 2007 GTI. It was my favorite car...speed, power, agility, everything one wants in a car. I could race any Audi TT around.
I love Brians reviews, easy understand his english :-)
which Kameras you used ?
thank you. We used the fs 5
Haha glad you remembered the full HD and full length slogan Thomas used to say. Great review thanks.
=)
I am writing a comment late in Feb 2019. I have a mark 7 2016 GTI, which I am replacing next week by a new facelift performance version. Why not wait for a mark 8? Because there is precious little info on its spec..... Mild hybrid only? .... no manual (love manuals)? ...... actual date for the GTI version?.... oh and f****** Brexit, with rumours of price hikes. Settling for the facelift seemed an obvious choice.
Hey guys what a great video, thanks for the great review !!! keep up the great work
+Dean Waters 👌👌
Another great review mate.
What a amazing review. Great Job
+j dutt 👌
Great review Brian!
+VolkswagenJettaFordFocus appreciated!
No mention of the mechanical diflock? The difference in handling as oppose to that of the standard GTI if any?
Good job mate
The automatic DSG will response much faster than manual switching from Drive to Sport Mode.
Manual= Tap Mode then select Sport Mode then wait like 1 or 2 secs to be actived
Automatic=Tap knob once when you in Drive then it's Sport Mode just like that
Good stuff! Great review 👍
BRILLIANT review! Feel like I've actually sat in the car and checked it out for myself!
Didn't know you liked a good nob though mate 🤣🤣🤣
thanks m8 =)
Nice car but the wheels have zero style. Wheels look about 15% away from a solid block of round metal, they even painted massive chunks black to hide how much metal there is. Standard Wheels on GTD are way better and look more sportier. I always enjoy this channels reviews the best of any.
You guys are great!
+Strongholdex 👍👍👍
Excellent review!
thanks a lot
Don't get a manual gear box if you are going to modify it unless you want to also upgrade the clutch because the clutch in this POS can't handle much more than the stock output. which is good because after 5 minutes when it gets annoying you can turn it off which you can't do in a 1,2 clio with a Heinz baked bean exhaust system.
If your wanting a fwd hot hatch you might aswel go for the cupra 300 dsg. That car / engine is explosive
I really like your videos very much, and I'm so happy that the Golf GTI test car that you featured is equipped according to the way I want my dream GTI to become. May I know the camera that is attached into the driver side window that records the video from 15:28?
thanks m8, that is Sony FDR
Nice review, but I need to point something out : the performance pack indeed has 245hp, but also 370nm torque instead of 350 as you stated :)
Sorry but I really didn't find this review that helpful or great to watch. Other than mentioning the extra power and different brakes there was nothing about the electro diff which is extra over the standard car. And just to top it off you filmed and continued to drive at high speed with the tyre warning light on, well done, very professional.
i decided ill never make youtube videos because people complain about every tiny detail i wonder how your wife feels lol
Nice Review, Best Channel, se you in Brazil.
+Daniel Candido ✌️✌️
Great review! Made up my mind now!
+yst42 enjoy !
outstanding review Sir .... I'm looking at getting the 2019 model ... my old Golf TDI will be repurposed to my son possibly.
thanks !

To bad that the quality of plastic seem's to have changed. .. The interior materials of my MkV GTI is tier one. .. Quality plastics and quality seating surfaces.
here the leather background if you wanna know more btw
We have researched this issue for many years now so please take your
time to go through our extensive resources stated below as they answer
every single question we have yet received concerning this matter.
At Autogefühl, we have already received several thousands (!) comments,
messages and mails that more and more people want to combine enjoying
their car with reducing the environmental impact at the same time. We
believe that sustainable luxury is possible or at least we should do
everything to support that. Those many thousand people confirming this
trend, motivate us to give you the most authentic information and
background on the product parts. It is not about what you bought in the
past, and it is not about blaming anyone, it is about what you decide in
the future and what you can decide and influence as a customer. So we
want you to have all information that you need for a decision you later
enjoy and like best yourself.
Check out our special video addressing car CEOs as a first summary and
also see conditions of animal skin production:
th-cam.com/video/LNSUzZXzpdc/w-d-xo.html
List of practical reasons against animal skin seats:
1. animal skin seats are often sold as an expensive option, by going for
base trim level seats you can save a lot of money and get a better
price-performance-deal (often the manufacturers claim that animal
leather is top of luxury because they can earn the best money with it)
2. animal skin seats get hot in summer and you stick to the seat,
probably you need seat cooling
3. they get very cold in winter and you need seat heating
4. on cloth or microfibre surfaces, you basically don’t need seat
heating nor cooling
5. animal skin seats wear out very fast and look like an old sofa
6. if you want leather look or need seats that can be wiped clean
easier, the leatherette (faux leather) surfaces are meanwhile highly
evolved and it is possible that it feels even softer and better than
anything else (See our Tesla Model X review th-cam.com/video/y2wNGFKa4M0/w-d-xo.html)
So Tesla shows a good example for that
7. More manufacturer names for their good alternatives: Mercedes
MBTex/Artico for leatherette, Dinamica for microfibre. BMW Sensatec,
Toyota Sof-Tex, Lexus Nu-Luxe (all faux leather)
To the environmental reasons:
1. The way the cows and other intelligent and social animals are raised
and held are not according to the basic values that we all share (also
see videos below)
2. The factory farming industry can be accounted for at least 40 % of
climate emissions and thus is (according to numerous sources you can
look up) the number one reason for climate change and environmental
destruction. It is the number one reason for deforestation, two thirds
of all agricultural land on earth is used for growing animal food crops.
If you would feed humans directly by using the agricultural land, you
could produce much more food for everyone. See this interesting essay
for more on climate emissions background: www.worldwatch.org/files/pdf/Livestock%20and%20Climate%20Change.pdf
3. It is not only cows who are suffering, but also the environment and
to a big part also humans. Think of slavery-like working conditions in
slaughterhouses (there are plenty of documentaries about this) or think
of chemically altered drinking water in animal skin production villages
as also seen in the video footage.
4. The discussion, for which body part the cow is killed first, is very
patronizing. But if you really think it would be important why someone
gets killed in first place: There are many productions where the cow is
killed for the skin first, sometimes even while still being
(part-)alive, the skin is the most profitable single part of the body.
5. So even if a cow gets theoretically killed for meat first, in every
case you give additional money to an industry that relies on killing,
pollutes the environment and harms people with chemicals. Let's say you
are standing at the meat counter. And you ask for the leg of the cow.
The butcher tells you: "You can eat that without worrying, the cow was
slaughtered for the neck first". The next customer demands the neck. The
butcher tells him: "It's not your fault, the cow was slaughtered for
the belly". A the next customer demands the hide, what answer does he
get? You see, that argument of "byproduct" comes from the meat and
leather industry to cover up that you contribute to killing no matter
which part of the body you buy.
6. To the often said argument, animal skin would just be a byproduct,
please google/youtube "leather is not a byproduct" you will find plenty
of information. A good overview on all those issues can also be found
here: adaptt.org/
To “But leatherette is not sustainable due to petrochemical production”
1. Indeed some fabrics and micro fibres are oil based, however most oil
is spent on energy production, heating and fuel. The share of oil used
for artificial cloth etc. is very very small.
2. If you look at the whole production process, the leatherette is way
more sustainable than the leather produce.
3. The best to-come solution are indeed plant-based materials like
Pinatex (based on pineapple leaves) or new materials based on mycelia
(roots of mushrooms) or other innovative natural products. That’s the
future.

leather can be found here: th-cam.com/video/8f91KgbVbJQ/w-d-xo.html
2. And another one right here: th-cam.com/video/tMNgcLE0LDU/w-d-xo.html
3. Furthermore, you’ll find the footage of leather production also here,
where people are walking in chemicals etc. and animals have to watch
their friends being slaughtered in front of their eyes: th-cam.com/video/JipYvuDsI6s/w-d-xo.html
timecode starting 27:46
4. This is another video which very well summarizes the torture of
leather production, shots taken at big farms which directly produce for
the automotive industry: th-cam.com/video/OgHs239bAnE/w-d-xo.html
5. Please note that those videos are made by well-known journalists and
cameramen who were not influenced by any animal welfare organisation,
they supply their footage to the animal rights groups of course. I
partly know the creators of the video footage personally and they are
all authentic. You don’t have to search long to find cruel production
environments anyway.
Manufacturers reactions:
We started the very first inquiry years ago, with the result that car
manufacturers do not reveal their sources of animal skin AT ALL. If it
all would be clean and happening without harm, why don’t they show it to
us whereas they are showing us every other detail of their products?
They have good reason not to, because there is no such thing as a clean
animal skin production without harming cows, humans and the environment.
The only thing a manufacturer can do is increase their effort for a
better future, and we are helping with in-depth talks and interviews by
presenting the increasing customer demand for sustainable luxury.
So meanwhile, we more often also get feedback that a lot of
manufacturers are working on leather-free interiors and are aware of the

Help to raise awareness on this subject. Thanks!
+1. This is a passionate subject for you. .. Here is a 2014 documentary which will open many eyes, it did mine. .. Maybe you know this documentary film?. .. Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret ..
Great documentary indeed!
Tire pressure light, these tires can’t be over or under pressured it seems
You all do your works great. 👍
thanks so much!
Excellent review :) just a question: this or a 2018 civic si?
Any torque steer on acceleration? Comments around 22mins suggests not
Please How much is this Car? I'm considering buying one of this.
+It's ACD!!! Check ur countries vw homepage
Stimmt es das der Performance kein dsg ploppen mehr hat?
I wish in the future that this golf gti aka my dream car's engine we'll grow bigger like the golf r and also I hope I get a golf gti when I'm a grown up
VW board: "How do we squeeze maximum profit out of each car?"
VW hero: "I know - expensive optional features - they cost us very little to bolt-on and the customers just lap them up! We just have to give fully loaded cars to journalists and they make it sound as though drivers actually need them!"
VW board: "Yay! And we make even more money when those extra features have to be repaired!"
The best looking Gti Mk7, 7.5 compared to the next generation Mk8 Gti
Why does the new refresh just look like someone put a bad aftermarket kit on the car?
Just curious. The GTI's sold here in the US are made in Mexico. Where are the European market GTI's built? Germany?
+greenhavennn yeah
+greenhavennn yeah
Thank you.
I believe the US Golf R is imported from Germany (the Canadian version is), and if so, snap it up before Trump screws up imports for you.
Wolfsburg, Germany
Someone likes to ride the clutch. haha
isnt that the reason to go manual? :D
That was pretty bad :)
+AlfonsoDriver thanks pal!
Wish the USA had another performance pack :( we are still at 220hp
Schön!! Love it. One day I'll own a Golf GTI 7 or the facelift, but it must have the DSG😍😎 Need the farting above 4000rpm.
Great review Brain :)
thanks pal !
The new DSG don't have a lot of popps :/
Thank you 🙏
I hope they launch a GTI Clubsport in 2018 🔥😋 It would be amazing 😍
👍 for Brian
thanks m8 !
could we have MPGs please? us brits don't understand in litres
+a cole u can just type it in google it will immediately translate
Is the digital display standard?
+BlizzardShot normal not but just for the performance gti version
The important question is what's Brian's favourite colour car!!!
guess we should do a feature on that =)
Where is Thomas?
he was doing that review: th-cam.com/video/j_ie9mRq8aw/w-d-xo.html
It is sad to live in Portugal where the GTI start at 48k€
Try being Danish, then, where it starts at 68k€
FoxVoxDK Noneofyourbusiness Try Swedish: 31 600 EUR
In USA starting at $26000
you mentioned 2019 a few times. whats happening to the GTI in 2019?
Just released TCR, youtube search Autogefuehl gti tcr
@@autogefuehl is there any word on when the MK8 will be released?
I can't decide between 2015 gti and 2015 wrx. I do have winter conditions to worry about, but gti is litter cheaper and nicer interior :/
+Matt Ryan wrx review coming soon!
I think this looks more sporty and agressive than the 7.5 r unless you look from the back of the r and you see the quad exhausts then you know the r mean business 😎😂🤗🤓😆🙃🤣
nice kicks bruh
lets go ! 👐
I wish I could afford it😳
Next week I'll buy the r because the gti hasn't enough power for me the sound isn't good enough and it's way too slow my mother has an Audi Q3 which is only 0,2 seconds slower than the gti the r is in another league but in looks the gti is definetely amazing and a lot cheaper.
Ilove this car....I need it...
Help! Mazda 6 or Golf GTI? Mostly for City driving
Peter For city - golf! Better petrol engine, great dsg transmission, and easier to manouver.. and top tech add ons like vc and infotainment system.
For Mazda 6
Space and Size, Practicality, Comfort and Fuel Economical
For GTI
Fun, your good 'ol favourite performance hatchback, convenient in tight places
But just go and give them a test drive LOL
A-nov mini cooper not a car for men
Thank you for the detailed review much appreciated!
How fast it's 0 to 60 mph
As always......Thumbs up from me :)
+DocToxic TF2 👍👍
What happened with quality? :(
I think its still uploading and will only show 360p untill its complete.
Let's hope
1080p 60 FPS for me now!
The GTI is that fast that the rendering is still in the village he just passed half an hour ago
wheres thomas?
here: th-cam.com/video/hqMd7OsHwno/w-d-xo.html
team is always splitting up to cover more cars at one
no more lock on the glove box looks kind of cheap
Nice
The wheels are awful. There are though much better wheels to put in the golf gti performance. Overall the entire car and this tornado red color is in my opinion one of the most beautiful cars vw cars ever created! 🎉🎉🎉😂😂
GTI♥️♥️♥️
C
An appetizer
Why, why, why the jarring B-roll cutaways to the exterior and sky when he's talking about the digital dash?
That's just stupid.
+Mamo thats no b roll
The same plastic feeling on R-MODEL, a car for over 50 K euro and over with a few options, and don't think it's worth the money. Drive my self peugeot 308 gt diesel, and I can't tell that the interior is way better.
The seat should be more sporty
American version don't get none of this nice stuff. I ended up getting a 2017 Sport on end-of-model-year sale instead. Only way to get the digital dash here is to get the R.
I realy love new golf, especially gti, but these wheels .. gosh ... are fugly..
Costa
Golf
DiZEl
No sunroof.... mkay
optional...
thank god for fabric seats... I HAAAAAAAAAAATE leather seats...
love to see sporty fabric seats too!
Aleziss Thomas is that you? Lol
+UnseenSpirit uh ?
I know. Especially ventilated ones!
