  • After spending some time with the BOSS GT-1000 Core, we discovered that the X Crunch amp is a hidden gem. It's able to give you nice cleans and coupled with some OD pedals, it's able to give you nice bluesy tones and singing lead lines. In this video, we demo this new patch we created and showcase the different tones. We ended this video with a 5 mins long jam as well. Do let us know if you like the tone we created. Cheers!

    You sold me on the X-Crunch which is now my favorite amp for clean , crunch or lead . Before I used the X-Hi Gain but it is a lot more bassy , scooped and fizzy . The X-Crunch is very natural , quiet , with a lot of touch sensitivity , and presence , and better with a guitar with natural basses

    So good! Specially to the lead channel! The clean is also fantastic! Close to what I hear as my clean sound! Never thought you can get it on a Crunch Style Amp! More power! Greetings from the Philippines!

    I also use the same strategy with my GT-1000. The X-crunch is the best amp model in the GT-1000, IMHO. I use the bottom 1-5 switches for 5 custom patches (all based on the X-crunch). Then the top switches for adding or turning off various effects. I always use Bank down for compression. Bank up for chorus or modulation. Ctr 1 for Distortion or clean boost. Ctr 2 for Delay. Ctr 3 for the Tuner. No bank changes, no surprises. Turned off the volume pedal, again no surprises. I have a volume knob on my guitar! I use the expression pedal only for Wah Wah. Plug this into the effect return of a good tube amp or FRFR speaker. Send the xlr outputs to FOH. This seems to work best for me. Consistent, trouble free night after night. Add some Hare Krishna Maha Mantra and now you really have perfection! Hari bolo!😃

    Nice demo. How can you assign certain sounds on the footswitches? Hope you can make a demo. Thanks

    I enjoyed your great video. I have a question. How do I use the function to adjust the existing amplifier value in addition to the DS1 value when I press the Control 1 pedal?

    Beautiful tone, very interesting and instructive video. I have a question, How do you program DS1 to control the gain of the amp?, by the way, I am not using the boss software👍.

    im sorry but I dont have the GE CLEAN . I purchased separately the GE Clean Ambient and the GE Xcrunch, am I missing one? I see you have in your list of patches

      Apologies, we renamed this patch GE Clean to GE X Crunch to differentiate from GE Clean Ambient.
      We were too excited to shoot the video that we forgot to rename the patch haha!

    Really nice info and playing here. Question: I have no intention of using the editor, can "everything" the editor offers be accessed in or on the unit itself ? I don't mind scrolling through menus and pages.

    • @GuitarEmerge
      @GuitarEmerge  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! You definitely will be able to use the editor within the unit to achieve all that we have programmed. Having said that, it's a little challenging and you will need to spend more time :)

      @@GuitarEmerge I am not familiar with garageband or other interfaces. Does garageband alter the tone? What would be the difference in tone between playing through garageband versus connecting to an FRFR speaker?

    • @GuitarEmerge
      @GuitarEmerge  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@billb1048 No garageband just records the sound. Unless you do post recording eq. What you hear in the video is directly recorded into garageband without and post editing. Best to have a consistent frfr that you do tweaking on.

      @@GuitarEmerge Thanks for replying. I'm going to play around with these settings for some of the worship songs we do. I usually dial in tones at home plugging into a Headrush 108. In this video, are you running into PA speakers? Btw, I love elevated jam tracks, he makes some great tracks.
