    New here, great intro to Tinkercad as I've only used fusion 360 thus far. This was quicker and simpler to get results for simple designs for sure. Now off to have a play.
    Thanks!

    Great little useful project that teaches so many TinkerCAD skills... THANKS! I printed a scaled one to 70% using Prusa Slicer and put my small camera remote in it, and it is always in my pocket, and this gives some protection to it!

    This would be perfect for a deck of cards and then custom logos on the lid.

    Thanks so much! This was very helpful. I thought a slit would be quite difficult to print as you'd need a lot more support to print the top piece or would need to print in 2 parts. Is there a way to know what can be printed without direct contact and when you would need support?
    I also didn't know about the Workplane feature. Is there a video you'd recommend that explains more about the uses of that? I've been trying to align the bottom of one object to the top of another object - can I use Workplane to do that?

    • @HLModTech
      @HLModTech  2 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      I have had good success with printing gaps like that up to about 5 cm. Some printers can do 10 cm lines. Depends on how well you have your printer calibrated and how close to the perfect temps you are using. Too hot and it cannot cool quick enough. Workplane and drop are magical. I use them all the time. Would be great for lining things up just as you say. See if this video helps. th-cam.com/video/lVD581LVhko/w-d-xo.html

    Yoo! Suggestion: Make a tutorial on measuring a deck of cards in real life and making this in Tinkercad.

    Great video, Thanks. What program have you associated your *.stl files with to enable you to see them that way in explorer?

    • @HLModTech
      @HLModTech  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you. I will check about the association. I really do not know. I user Cura for all my slicing... but I am not sure what happens if I double click a STL.

    • @bujutsuu
      @bujutsuu 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The reason that I am asking is because your thumbnails in Explorer clearly show what the file is, where my STL files all have the same thumbnail@@HLModTech

    How did the slot for the lid print with no supports?

    • @HLModTech
      @HLModTech  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you have your printer dialed in pretty well it is not uncommon to be able to span a gap of several centimeters. My theory was that if it did droop a bit it would just give me more friction to keep the lid in place. I was using .3mm layers and the A8 plus knocked that out in in just under an hour and a half.

    • @janetking3350
      @janetking3350 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HLModTech thanks for the information. I'll have to check my settings for layer thickness but what is the A8?

    • @HLModTech
      @HLModTech  ปีที่แล้ว

      I use .3 for everything... always in a hurry and quality is rarely on my list.. It is the lowest setting in Cura. My temps were 200 and 55 using PLA.

    Can you make a movable lever

    • @HLModTech
      @HLModTech  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Are you asking for it to print in place, yet still move? I have these sliding markers I have created. th-cam.com/video/wDvANitqHYU/w-d-xo.html Keep me posted and I will see what I can come up with for you.

      Really appreciate the kind words. It was cool to see it work. Sometimes I create, then test... and find out I was wrong. This was really fun.
