Just test drove a 2021 Dodge Ram Big Horn the other day and fell in love with it. We went back to the dealership, ran the numbers along with my income and credit score and I drove out of there in a 1997 Toyota Prius instead. 😥

For those watching, the big horn night edition doesn't get you the 11,000lbs towing. The 3.92 axle ratio does. That's a different option/add on. The 3.21 only gets a little over 8,000lbs towing and is the standard. It also can come with the big horn night edition. So you have to watch which axle ratio you have if you are considering these for towing.
Good info. So many people don’t understand this and think just cause it’s a hemi it gets max towing.
I'm traditionally a Ford guy but officially in the market for a Ram Night Edition now after driving one. To be a more "basic" model, you get way more truck for your buck with the Big Horn than an F150 in this price range. To get some of the features in the Big Horn you'd have to go all the way up to a Lariat in the Ford, and the Rams are just so much more aggressive looking. Ram FTW.
That's how it goes. The F150 has dominated the market for 40+ years. You should expect to pay a premium for the market leader. No different than paying more for a BMW or Benz over a Caddy.

Brand new truck with no bedliner is theft! Sprayed in bedline should be standard in all trucks!!! No matter the trim level.
Mine came with the stupid hybrid thing and no bedliner.
I agree I was shocked when I was at the dealer and saw so many without bed liners
They will never do that since they can make money off of selling it as an option.

I’ve had multiple Rams since 2007, starting with a 1500 non-hemi from 2005, white with chrome, and had it for 15 years. I followed that with a 2016 Hemi 1500 sport, solid red crew cab, but unfortunately wrecked it. However, earlier this year I got a 2021 White Ram Bighorn Night Edition and absolutely love it! It’s a beautiful truck and drives as well as the other 2 Rams I have ever had. Looking to have this one for a long time.
Got my 2021 Ram Bighorn Night Edition [Black] last Tuesday. I absolutely love the truck. I've made some small mods already. Flowmaster Super 44 muffler [resonators on - not interested in loud just deeper tone - no drone at all], Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT tires [very quiet smooth ride], ceramic coating, front window tint to match back windows, and roll-up tonneau cover. I still need the bug deflector and mud flaps to finish it off. I think what Ram is doing is appealing to a younger audience [intentional or not]. F-150s and Silverados are great trucks, but those are dad trucks. Great review!

Purchased a 21 Big Horn and traded in my 19 F150. I will say big horn is quieter smoother and more responsive. Ford has a lot of catching up to do.

I was close to buying a lonestar(bighorn) that looked exactly like this but the dealer sold it the day before I was going to buy it...ended up with a lone star sport edition with the built to serve wheels it's very nice
The BTS is a really good Ram. I wanted knew but the same thing happened to me as you. And I got a night ed that looks exactly like this one.

Those halogen headlights are the best! So modern and provides the best visibility
That’s true I like the way the LED ones look but the halogen definitely get better visibility and are way cheaper to replace a bulb

Test drive this, an F-150, a Silverado, and a Sierra and felt the Ram drove incredibly smoother, quieter, and looked a lot better. The only problem is it’s also more expensive than the F-150 and Silverado. But it’s so good looking, especially with the night package. I might pull the trigger this week. Still working on it with the local dealership. These do not lease out too well unfortunately and financing is a better deal but with businesses many times it is more logical to lease.
Get it now before the price goes up.I have a 2021 BH love it

I looked at these, but went with the 2020 F150 King Ranch with the 3.5EB, 375 hp, and 470 ft lb of torque. 18 in the city, 25 on the HWY in eco mode.. Love it.

I love the looks of the Ram, but I know in Michigan after 5 or 6 years the rear wheel well areas and cab corners will become very rusty. For a truck that is this expensive, rust shouldn't be a concern for at least 10 years.
Also, the Big Horn package has gotten really expensive. I remember buying a new 2013 Ram that had more options than this one for around $40k!!! Prices on new trucks are getting pretty silly.
The prices are the entire market everything is inflated right now. And you can prevent rust with proper vehicle care.
@@outplay_kids6654 I'm comparing MSRP to MSRP, not outlandish added dealer markup (ADM). Base MSRP on trucks has been rising rapidly these past few years.
That's why Ford went to aluminum construction. It's lighter and solves the rust issue.
I'm on the market for a truck right now, but here in Mexico they are ridiculously expensive! The "cheap" RAM that they offer is still the old body style, and it goes for ~$35k USD. I personally like the F150 but with financing, the cheapest F150 is the same price as this one. This one goes for ~$48k USD here and the financing is not totally crazy. I really like it, but I don't think I can stretch that far.

Just got the 2020 edition with the LED lights and I absolutely love it! Just wish it would also come with the bed liner but other than that, it’s great!
@@kenrobles1853 No I bought it. The dealer didn’t wanna add any tint or bedliner because they negotiated with me on the final price which was supposedly a low price lol

Might be scooping up this exact color and trim this week. It too doesn’t have the LED lights but it does have the night edition black ours. Any idea on how much it would cost to get the LED headlights? Searching around I saw one place with the full replacement but it was over $1200! Factory equipped is $995 then I think there are options to just replace the bulbs for $100-$200 but it doesn’t change the housing to the cool full LEDs. Thanks for any guidance.
Sorry, not a fan of having to use a key fob to unlock and open a truck over $50k with push button start. Ram needs to offer this on Big Horn w/o having to jump up to Laramie.

I agree, having to utilize your thumb to push a small button to unlock a vehicle now is very strenuous on your body and probably takes years off of your life each time you have to do it.

It is a joke and they all do it....50k truck with halos meanwhile a 20k kia has LEDs...ridiculous

@@rmendez011 Yep, I had to do a factory order to get mine, as well as other options. The dealer near me has basic big horn's, with basic options.

LED is an option and standard on Laramie model and higher. Remember the big horn is considered only a step up from the base.

Please Exaggerate on the pull down Arm Rest for the back passengers!!! Many trucks now cost well over $50k and don’t even offer an armrest. If I’m on a trip that’s more that 30 minutes long I would definitely like an arm rest in the back - I don’t need a Heated Steering Wheel - I just need a place to put my arm - especially if my truck cost twice as much as a Base Dodge Charger!

I built and price this exactly same truck but with the long bed and off road package, the Ram website set a price of $46,815. I sent the request to the dealer in Temecula California, they send me a quote for $53,355. Ram build and price website is a joke.

Website doesn’t include all the Bs dealer add ons and tax, doc fees. You just gotta talk them down or wait till they throw rebates and incentives. Over all they are pricy.

So glad they all come standard with a v8, love ford but those ecoboosts need to go, why ruin reliability for mpg, the torque is insignificant if you are going to be replacing those turbos
They dont come standard with a V8. They offer the 3.6 Pentastar as well.
None come standard with V8...all mnfctrs still have V6 as standard, so you have to add 2k to any truck to get V8....

@coffeeinthemorning not everything, when a 25k kia or Honda comes std with LED lights a 50k truck most certainly should......you can buy 2 base model Bighorns for price of a LIMITED.....thats insane.....certainly a V8 can be std

@@kirkdunn1379 I test drove both and I definitely felt like I had to gas the V6 up more during acceleration. For normal driving it may be ok but I couldn’t imagine using the V6 to tow or add any payload. For full size I’d only go v8 unless they offer a turbo V6 like ford does

That is one UGLY TRUCK for the year 2021, that trucks front looks like from 2003. I hate the 2021 GMC interior but at least the beautiful exterior makes up for the loss and someone said in the comments, ram is better and my god rams are very disappointing. I am going with the GMC Denali pro edition.
