    I chose the Bighorn over the Laramie. Most of the extras in the $5000 I didn't want or need. I put that extra money into upgrades the dealer doesn't provide. Exhaust, ceramic coat, tires, window tint, etc. So, keep that in mind.

    I have the Big Horn level I. I love it! compared to previous vehicles (not a Ram), I miss unlocking just by touching the handle. Not sure what trim level or package would have that, but it wouldn't have been worth it just for that. I didn't really have options. I got a great deal in September for this one and am very happy. I know I could get more features, but nothing that makes me say "I wish I had that." except the unlocking feature...gotta reach in my pocket and push a button. Oh well. I shall adjust.

    My 2020 Bighorn Night Edition has the blind spot warning. The 2020 Big Horn is more comparable to the 2021 Laramie. Center console on the 2020 Big Horn has the USB outlet inside it as well. I personally do not like the fact that they stepped the Big Horn down from 2020 to 2021. Hell before I forget, my 2020 Big Horn has the 2021 Laramie headlights as well. So my take is that if you buy the 2021 big horn you are basically getting ripped off compared to the the 2020 big horn.

    Nice review but a little skued in that both trucks you show have options that make them the same and some that make them different. Picking two base bighorn and laramies or two with at least the same appearance package (like sport) would have made a clearer winner. Since being in the market for a bighorn, most come with 3.5" info center between the speedo and tach...not the nice 7" one on your vid. Im looking to option out my ram like a limited but with cloth int and seating for 6. Should still come in under 50k...i hope!

  • @PaulXMann
    @PaulXMann ปีที่แล้ว

    In addition to the differences you DID point out, there are several differences that DIDN'T get a mention. For example, one difference in the Laramie exterior treatment vs. Big Horn is the fender flares... the Laramie also has a lightweight, aluminum tailgate that's not standard on the Big Horn. On the inside, the Laramie has standard back seat under-storage, along with extra trim inserts on the door handles, around controls and speakers, etc. Again, these are all on TOP of everything already mentioned. You get a lot with the Laramie, though it adds up fast with options.

    You can easily spend 70k+ on one of these trucks.
    I have come to the conclusion I don't want a stripped version.
    I love the 12" screen and dual sunroof.

    My 2019 laramie is basically a limited, the differences are, I don't have power side steps , my headlights don't turn with the truck but the side light comes on. I dont have lane assist and I'm on 20s instead of 22s. I have the high end interior 12 inch screen and sound system and the dual roof, regular side steps. Main difference was leasing. It was so much cheaper to lease a laramie over the limited. So a few months ago I bought it out since the market is crazy. Price difference, msrp was 64k and after rebates and discounts I walked out paying like 57k. Then my buyout was 34k after 3 years. My brother in law bought the limited around the same time and his msrp was 69k so there was only a 5k difference in our options. I would never buy a base model laramie.

    8.4 is more than enough and I like the look of analog dials as well.....also that 12in lights up like Xmas tree at night I bet......dont need a split screen as I dont use info center while driving anyway.....

    Never drove a current Ram before. When my supercharged Tundra went into the body shop, I rented a 2020 bare bones, Ram Classic 2wd. The truck rode like a car, very comfortable, took turns like a sports car, and was VERY fast - almost as fast as my 600 hp Tundra and handled just as well. Good mpg for a truck. I recently drove a Ram Laramie 4wd while my truck got a new radio. Much different vehicle than the 2wd classic. Higher stance made it feel more truckish, tippy in corners and not as fast as the Classic. Brakes were amazing in both Classic and Laramie. Rams are very good trucks but the prices are just too high.

    Loved the comparison, great job... but I think there is a disconnect with customers on the prices for sure. $50K is outrageous for a truck. The little comment "for those who are paying $50,000 for a truck $5,000 more isn't that much" Is an asinine statement, when the majority of us are shaking our heads at all the $hit yuppies have ruined a truck with. It needs 4x4, hemi, good ac, and a good radio. Leather seats are nice if I want it a little fancy. Should be more realistic around $30k or less. Hell you can't even order one without waiting on the OEM to get a chip for it right now.
