In an other career the lazy baseball players would be fired after doing nothing for a few days straight, but most of these "athletes" get paid millions and don't get fired when most of them dont do anything for weeks at a time. I really don't understand what's wrong with the US unions. Why and how do they have the power to prevent employees from being fired for cause? We have unions over here as well, basically everywhere. People still lose their jobs all the time. Unions are supposed to enable fair(er) wage negotiations, how did they manage to amass such power in the US? And especially, how do they keep such power?

Angel Hernandez reminds me of the ump at my game the other day, the runner ran into our shortstop and obstructed the play. The ump didn’t call it obstruction. The left fielder caught a ball close to the ground, the ump didn’t call the runner out for not tagging up or the batter out. Then the same ump got mad at our coach for using the game changer app on his phone to keep track of our errors, plays, etc....
