When making 400+ hp , no doubt you need a good tire. Im talking R-compunds for the street, r888's or some other super sticky R compunds on the fronts. Makes a night and day difference over even regular high performance tires. The launch you can achieve is unbelievable to be honest and well worth putting 2 up front on the drive wheels. Those along with the LSD it should do wonders if you never experienced driving on R compunds before.
How has this been for you (the car's reliability). I'm going to get one with the 6 speed and while its under warranty, only things I'm doing is the motor mount as its going to be my daily driver.
Guess i will be on the tuner ultra lite side of things with just an intake and inlet(as soon as sxth gets them outta the backorder black hole). Great info tho
Not a fan of the wheels but definitely like the wrap. I figured with it being near 300hp and I've ween them hitting 340-360 with nothing don't just fbo and tuning
that engine is one hell of a tank, Aluminum block and head holding 400hp without swapping to Forged internals? that is insane, Clutch cannot handle above 400 though, need to switch that out
Do you know of any upgraded clutches for the dct version? I’ve been looking everywhere but can’t find any. I’m trying to make 400-450whp. I’m buying the s-400 turbo from Sxth.
What a crazy build bro! The wrap is awesome. I got a question. What size rims are you running? I want to put 17’s on my Elantra N but i want to see how it looks installed on someones car
@@chris5252011 i kinda dont want to do 18’s because in my area in the winter it snows pretty hard sometimes so i want beefy tires for the snow. I seen dudes with 18’s and snow tires and they all complain about rubbing. I think 17’s would be best with some thick thread tires 🛞
@@RedLine_90 if they're getting rubbing it's because they put the wrong offset on the car. It's hard to get steel wheels that fit the car right. I'm running 18" with snow tires no problem.
Short ram is still cold air intake. The only difference is that people believe that sucking air from the bottom performs better at keeping low IAT consistently. Short ram only disadvantage is hot days heatsoak sucking air from the engine bay. But once the meth or e85 hit it will lower the iat temps running the intake from the bottom is more of a n\a setup
You got to keep in mind these N cars are turbocharged with a front mount intercooler set up. NA cars(naturally aspirated) benefit from that " cold air intake" fender liner placement more. Once the air goes in the filter on a turbocharged car, the air doesn't go directly into the engine like on a non turbo car. The air still travels through the IC pipe through the FMIC (front mount intercooler) and the air gets cooled down still . Then it travels up the upper IC pipe , past the throttle body and then and only then into the engine. So you can see where this filter placement on a turbocharged car isn't as big a deal as an N/A car.
@@Boosted00exactly in my honest opinion I wouldn't really spend money on a intake on these car's most car's now a days come with an intake box that is optimal
@@JorgeCabrera-zh7yr Yes exactly, stock air boxes flow pretty well. You can see aftermarket intake set ups don't make much power difference anyway. It's good for looks and to make extra sounds/noises lol.
@@ndriverkg104 Not arguing and hard to beat the EN's bang for the buck. The EN responds well to mods and very good for anything you can currently buy off the showroom floor today in its price range. Also well north of 400whp.
I like your combo but really only see the downpipe making a real gain,1 thing ive prover myself you need to change is your (cold air intake),your making your intercooler useless by running the intake underhood, you should separate the underhood air from the intake, run it down to the bottom, get an egt pirometer to check your exhaust temps,im sure when you relocate your intake air to outside the car your egts will drop by 200° and cool air in is cooler air out
No. The tune is making the biggest gain. Intake does nothing it's just a noise maker. Factory intake is fine and feeds in cold air. EGTs are not going to drop by 200° with an intake, What are you smoking???😅😅😅
@@ndriverkg104 hmm okay I know I want the engine mount for sure.. I'm definitely getting that. And what is your opinion on this . Do carbon fiber materials look better on performance blue or white?

I figured the bottom end of the 2.0 could definitely handle more more boost given what was done with the 1.6 in the early years of the WRC program.✌️
My tuned elantra sport makes 25psi max at 3.5k
did you go with head studs, how much power you running?
@@joerichardson6107I should be at 24psi with larger turbo with out doing head studs in my Elantra sport it could handle the power

The 1.6t is far more reliable than the 2.0t, so it can make more power, as for 2.0t I doubt
It really is crazy that Hyundai didn't ship these with that motor mount setup from factory. Seems like an easy win for them.
That wrap is insane man.. lol. Sweet build
Thx appreciate that
