    what i love abt the spreadsheet and so much of what makes the league community incredible despite it's flaws, having this much level of intention in ANY aspect of your life will translate to ALL aspects of your life. you are who you are when you're being yourself; if you're spending your free time having fun and being intentional about introspecting and reflecting on your day after a gameplay session, why would it not feel intuitive to do so after a workout session which can help you refine your goals, or after a day in the office where you can make a plan for the rest of the day. the underlying mechanisms and habits being formed from these rituals is why they are invaluable

      @darnellafrance3591 im completely agree! I've found that the things I've learned through my improvement journey in league have helped me in my work life, schooling, and my relationship too. Being intentional, taking accountability, and setting goals have helped me immensely

    Might also be worth mentioning that attention span considerations can vary quite significantly. players may want to do a little trial and error and adjust that 2-3 hour goal post as needed

      This is so true! Personally I do very poorly with long grind sessions, so I take a break every 2 games for 10-15 minutes just to refresh/recenter myself.

    • @Barook
      @Barook หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This is so true indeed! Personally i have a very hard time getting ready and warm up , like multiple hours , but when i'm ready then i can play like 7 8hours in a row being very good and even better each game until a breaking point when im tired for the day . I wish i could warm up faster cuz its very annoying to not be able to play any ranked if i dont have like 4 hours free ahead of me .

    the problem you mentioned of getting ranked anxiety because you're chasing the win instead of chasing improvement is something i've struggled with for a long time. do you have an specific advice for helping to facilitate that mindset shift so i can get out of my own head?

    • @coachboc
      @coachboc  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah.. it is a complicated topic! I'll do a video about it more in-depth in the future. But for now, there are a couple things you can do that help.
      - Set a goal for the day that is within your control (x games of a champ, catching + freezing every wave you slow-push, practice tool clears..etc.)
      - Get a pre-game routine that gets you in a good headspace and creates consistency
      - TRACK YOUR GAMES so you can see your skills growing even if your LP doesn't change much
      - There are some simple breathing exercises that are good for calming nerves too!

    • @brotendo
      @brotendo หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@coachboc@gallae yes it's called box breathing, you can Google it to learn how to do it. But from now on it will be called boc's breathing.

    Anyone can bring an account from iron to emerald if it’s fresh. I have my main that a loss is -32 and a win is +20 which is a joke 😂. Best advice I’ve been given is “just start a new account.”

    • @coachboc
      @coachboc  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Hunterslammer It is easier to do with a fresh account! He had been iron/bronze for 1-2 seasons previously though. He genuinely just put in the work to get better

      @@coachboc i have several throw aways and one I actually play play on, but I’d love to one day get my mains MMR up, but it’s literally a 2009 account there’s no coming back. Instead of paying for coaching, cuz I’ve tried it, I just boost it to gold every season. It’s cheaper tbh. And less time consuming. I really only care about it because it’s a legit 2009 account. Just thought I’d give some realistic insight on how MMR can make an account unrecoverable when it comes to ranked.

    On him getting so discouraged lately… I know I’m not a good player but I truly think I should be high silver/low gold but yet here I am in Iron, finished last ladder B1… I have been playing pretty well… two of my games I have played absolutely flawless, I have watched video after video, I focus on farm instead of wasting my time, I’m always looking for a way to generate gold everytime I’m on the map, I know I have my bad games but even my bad games I go like 7-6 or something. I get matched in these games with 1-12 junglers and 0-10 adc’s and I just don’t get it… I have maybe had a 1-8 games once this entire season and it was doing proxy singed so yea… I play mid lane main, I help my jungler at objectives, I avoid dying, I usually end game with least deaths on my team, typically end with most damage. Im not good enough to “carry” 4 bad teammates but I feel like im good enough to win the winnable games and just lately it’s not happening. I didn’t want to switch the “split push to win” strategy because I felt like it would take away from my skill building but I’m about to do it until at least silver because right now I’m getting teammates that are literally throwing. I know I don’t play great all the time, I have a family and animals that are constantly bothering me during games and distracting me, I also zone out sometimes and completely shit the bed on seeing things happen but like I said I don’t go 1-12 like my teammates… I have lost 6 in a row and I think in every single one of those losses my jungler has been 2-10 or worse and my adc has been equally as bad except for the one Draven I had that was decent but DC’d at 35 minutes and was an easy push for the enemy team even though I double anyone else in that game in damage… nothing has been working for me

      @@TheDazeez imma keep it real with you dawg you need to play only 2-3 champs MAXIMUM. last split you played a shitload of games on Miss Fortune, Vex, Anivia, LeBlanc, Syndra, Karma, Ezreal, and Nocturne. And you had a handful of games on Senna, Elise, Xerath, etc. just pick one role. you can't actually understand how the game works unless you play one role only and get repeated exposure to multiple scenarios to start developing pattern recognition and muscle memory. last year i was a bronze ADC and i committed to switching to jungle. i played ONLY nocturne until i got to silver 1, then i switched to briar until i got to gold 3. that was like 200+ games. i switched to Udyr and played over 400 games with him and i hit plat on my main, and Emerald 3 on an alt account that i hand leveled playing ONLY udyr.
      One champ, one role.

    • @TheDazeez
      @TheDazeez 28 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@brotendo my main role is mid and secondary is adc (I can’t do bruisers, I suck at that playstyle) I only do MF for adc, literally if I do anything else it’s because she was picked or banned. This ladder I did have some kogmaw stints because of the “tank meta” and he melts tanks but I’m just not that great with him. As far as mid goes I want to play only Syndra this ladder. She has been my main in multiple seasons but I really dont like picking her into yas, sylas, Zoe, Kat, fizz, Irelia, or Talon. I’m pretty decent with Lisandro so I usually be pick her if any of those I just mentioned are picked or if the enemy picks zed or yone since loss ult negates their ults basically. Nocturne is my go to if I get autofilled to jungle and I pick Elise jungle if our team is as heavy (if I should worry about that let me know). And I pick Karma if I get autofilled support although last ladder I played a bit of senna support as well. Thanks for looking up my info, I am trying to stick to one champion per role just doesn’t always work out

    • @brotendo
      @brotendo 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@TheDazeez The point of one tricking a champ or playing only two champs is so you can play those hard matchups. You say you don't like playing Syndra into Yasuo, Sylas, etc. but that's the reason why you stick with her... so you figure out how to play her against tough matchups. Plus if Fizz, Yasuo, etc. get on top of you as Syndra you have your E to push them away. I promise you if you play only Syndra mid, pick the same runes and same core build every game, focus on your CS, you will climb. Your average farm on Syndra is 6.4, try to get that up to 7. You can 100% climb with her. If you get autofilled, dodge at least once.
