Some of my lady friends tell me that I ask too many personal questions when I meet a man but I want to know up front what he does, how much he earns, what is his credit score, why did he divorce, what habits does he has, does he have any health issues because I want to know upfront if I can deal with his answers. This is going to set a lot of Sistahs free! Please keep them coming. The Lord was just telling me to clean out all of my closets, get my affairs in order, even my will, and get rid of that old junk because you cannot take that junk to your husband's house. How I needed to hear this, I've been down for 8 months because of a man, my husband who treated me so bad, ran off with his mistress to other state, no closure just went to work one morning and never came back, he was abusive, disrespectful, cheater, manipulator and liar. I often told myself, why the tears and sadness, what in the world did you lose. While he walks around happy with the mistress, you're down and out, girl stop it and get up and move on. However I kept falling back but this video I needed to hear because I'm done feeling sorry for myself, having the pity parties, walking around with my head down , I'm rising up today
Yes! Rise up, Sis! Know that whatever he did was never really about you. Cheaters/manipulators have something going on inside that is like an empty hole and they are constantly trying to fill it. They still try to shift blame and say they weren't getting what they needed but its just gaslighting and a cover up so you don't see what they are lacking. Remember the red flags & signs and move away from anyone displaying them in the future. The ex may seem to be "walking around happy" but what happy person tears down another with glee? None. Ms Fumi is giving excellent advice about moving on! Watch frequently and forgive yourself for yuppie part & give yourself permission to heal and just be. You are enough just as you are and when you are ready for more...know that you deserved it all along.

This is right on time. I heard my mother-in-law bad mouthing me to her family. I left with my son and husband stayed with her, he’s actually picking up for her, needless to say, it’s a done deal
That situation sucks, It's even worse back home where almost all ladies are married in such conditions and believe that its not a good enough reason to fail a relationship. My daughters grandmother called me a witch and went on her knees to her son and asked him to never marry me officially as long as she was still alive. Today am still not married but listen to me sis they all can't believe its me... on my own life has become better. I left my country because there was no more for me now living in USA have my business growing very steadily. Sister you've got this... now that you've made that decision wrong or right; live for it. Just do everything to glow and grow, even if you have no food for tomorrow sister smile always remind yoself that yo did it before at a younger age, you can do it even better with a pill of wisdom.
That really unfortunate and a hard situation. But that’s no reason to leave your husband my love. At least try marriage counseling , pray about it before you pull the plug. Marriage is hard, it’s even harder when family are interfering, you set rules and you let him know what you will or won’t tolerate. I always say try every thing before just going for the D word.
You might not know the reasons why things end in the moment, but the reason/s will definitely be revealed eventually, whether it maybe you meet the right person or another door opens that makes you happy!

Before I met my husband of 18 years of being together I also was in a reckless none committed relationship with someone I knew wasn't going to do anything but enjoy the ride. I too left him and I was with him when I did. Before I walked off I told him this wasn't it and was out. He was hollering what's going on. I told him not this and went on my way alone and got myself together. After 6 months of choosing to be alone I met my beautiful husband in 04 and the moment I met him I knew he was going to be husband. In 07 we welcomed our only daughter. I felt safe and in peace. I am humble and grateful. This was absolutely beautiful. I'm praying whoever is going through something they know in their heart that isn't for would just move. Just take a step forward and don't look back. It's a great thing. Also, in time those exes do show back up in the same situation you left them in. Thanks for this episode, I was in relationship that I didn't even feel I was in a relationship because he was just so distant but the part that is my down fall is I end up with a child, in some sense I always get reminded of the relationship because now a child is evolved but I live , I learned, I must move on...
Your child is your gift. I am sure that at one point or another it was not all bad. Don't use that expression it was your down fall. The power and the awesomeness of having a child is so amazing. cherish your child treat your child with love and respect don't ever let your child feel like they are a burden or that you hate them because they might look like the father (who your no longer with ) I was born in the Caribbean and you would not believe how many children starve for their mothers love because she hate the child since she no longer with the father who didn't even have the decency to say goodbye when he left.

It was the hardest thing I had ever done in my life!! My son was in high school about to graduate, and I tried but I knew he would be ok and it was time for me to look after me! I never looked back and my life and dreams I always wanted have come true! My ex was angry and bitter and blamed me for everything that was wrong in his life. Unfortunately, he passed 2 years later. I saw him in the hospital and he told me how sorry he was and that he loved me. We made peace with each other and I forgave him. Sometimes the worst thing that happens can be what's best for you! Wow funmi your experience is exactly what I am going through right now. I tried to test my boyfriend emotional intelligence by breaking up with him when it got to a time he wasn't looking in my direction. I wanted him to listen to me and understand my needs. I wanted us to balance the equation but he was adamant so I broke up with him to see if he would FIGHT FOR ME but then it went south. I had to explain that I didn't mean for us to break up still he didn't listen so I left. He is back and begging for the relationship and I told him I was no longer interested. I just found your channel I love listening to you so much. I'm coming out off a 18yr long "waist of time" 💔. I think my standards changed after solely purchasing a new home, car and finishing up nursing school. He got so insecure and the disrespect was becoming unbearable 😭 so I had to give him an ultimatum change or leave, after 18 years he chose to walk out, leaving me with the mortgage, a 12 yr old and 6 months left in nursing school. I make the focus about me now, what is good for me. I try my best not to fall for the lies, tricks & games men come with. I never let them move in or stay over more than a weekend, I never ever loan or give money , I never let them borrow or even drive my car & truck and I put myself in charge of my heart and emotions to keep both safe in my hands only. Since I stick to those rules I've been very happy in my dating life. If the guy doesn't like my rules or tries to change my rules then I don't date him period.

I’ve never felt bitter when it’s over, because i was present during that time… No contact is literally the only way to proceed forward.. Out of sight, out of mind for sure.. also try not to date ppl that live too close to u.. so u don’t have to bump into them while out and about…

Very inspired story.... its happened to me more than 10 years ago.. I had 7 years relationship and he dumped me with no valid reason ...I was mourning for almost a year. Then i start to wake up again n living in new me. After few years of break up God grant me with a good husband which i can't imagine of this wonderful man came in to my life.

My daughters grandmother called me a witch and went on her knees to her son and asked him to never marry me officially as long as she was still alive. Today am still not married but listen to me sis they all can't believe its me... on my own life has become better. I left my country because there was no more for me now living in USA have my business growing very steadily.
Sister you've got this... now that you've made that decision wrong or right; live for it. Just do everything to glow and grow, even if you have no food for tomorrow sister smile always remind yoself that yo did it before at a younger age, you can do it even better with a pill of wisdom.

This right here was inspiring and beautiful! Before I met my husband of 18 years of being together I also was in a reckless none committed relationship with someone I knew wasn't going to do anything but enjoy the ride. I too left him and I was with him when I did. Before I walked off I told him this wasn't it and was out. He was hollering what's going on. I told him not this and went on my way alone and got myself together. After 6 months of choosing to be alone I met my beautiful husband in 04 and the moment I met him I knew he was going to be husband. In 07 we welcomed our only daughter. I felt safe and in peace. I am humble and grateful. This was absolutely beautiful. I'm praying whoever is going through something they know in their heart that isn't for would just move. Just take a step forward and don't look back. It's a great thing. Also, in time those exes do show back up in the same situation you left them in. These men will still be uncommitted and will no longer be your issue nor problem. Love this Fumi ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. Thanks for this episode, I was in relationship that I didn't even feel I was in a relationship because he was just so distant but the part that is my down fall is I end up with a child, in some sense I always get reminded of the relationship because now a child is evolved but I live , I learned, I must move on...
Your child is your gift. I am sure that at one point or another it was not all bad. Don't use that expression it was your down fall. The power and the awesomeness of having a child is so amazing. cherish your child treat your child with love and respect don't ever let your child feel like they are a burden or that you hate them because they might look like the father (who your no longer with ) I was born in the Caribbean and you would not believe how many children starve for their mothers love because she hate the child since she no longer with the father who didn't even have the decency to say goodbye when he left.
That story speaks right into my heart. It's me you were addressing Auntie. Nevertheless, I ask my God for a God-fearing man who put his relationship with Jesus first. It was the hardest thing I had ever done in my life!! My son was in high school about to graduate, and I tried but I knew he would be ok and it was time for me to look after me! I never looked back and my life and dreams I always wanted have come true! My ex was angry and bitter and blamed me for everything that was wrong in his life. Unfortunately, he passed 2 years later. I saw him in the hospital and he told me how sorry he was and that he loved me. We made peace with each other and I forgave him. Sometimes the worst thing that happens can be what's best for you! Wow funmi your experience is exactly what I am going through right now. I tried to test my boyfriend emotional intelligence by breaking up with him when it got to a time he wasn't looking in my direction. I wanted him to listen to me and understand my needs. I wanted us to balance the equation but he was adamant so I broke up with him to see if he would FIGHT FOR ME but then it went south. I had to explain that I didn't mean for us to break up still he didn't listen so I left. He is back and begging for the relationship and I told him I was no longer interested. I think my standards changed after solely purchasing a new home, car and finishing up nursing school. He got so insecure and the disrespect was becoming unbearable 😭 so I had to give him an ultimatum change or leave, after 18 years he chose to walk out, leaving me with the mortgage, a 12 yr old and 6 months left in nursing school. I make the focus about me now, what is good for me. I try my best not to fall for the lies, tricks & games men come with. I never let them move in or stay over more than a weekend, I never ever loan or give money , I never let them borrow or even drive my car & truck and I put myself in charge of my heart and emotions to keep both safe in my hands only. Since I stick to those rules I've been very happy in my dating life. If the guy doesn't like my rules or tries to change my rules then I don't date him period.

My attitude for relationships have always been, enjoy the fuck out of it while u have it, AND LET IT GO WHEN IT OVER….. I’ve never felt bitter when it’s over, because i was present during that time… No contact is literally the only way to proceed forward.. Out of sight, out of mind for sure.. also try not to date ppl that live too close to u.. so u don’t have to bump into them while out and about…
