I share your pain about Ridley's Dair. Pogo tail was the one move that felt like it was obviously gonna be his dair. but, no and it saddens me. I hate the stall and fall. But, I'm still gonna play Ridley. he's my boy.

Gotta disagree on Isabelle, im glad she's a semiclone with different smash atttacks and specials and the jab... Plus she created the assist trophy glitch which wouldn't have happened if she was just an echo fighter, that alone made her earn her keep.
As a sma5h mewtwo main who didn't get to play him much in sm4sh, my personal complaint is how light he is. He can have a big hurtbox but he is canonically heavier then charizard. I also would like a smaller hurtbox or faster jump but he needs buffs. But I never thought of nair. That's actually a really good suggestion. I can agree. Nair is hard to react to.
Fates is one of my favorite games ever but like, come on man. Corrin in smash is such a disappointment in comparison to them in the original game. They were cool at the start, but are pretty sad in ultimate.

As a Corrin main(I also main all the other FE characters) I really wish that they could rework Corrin to be a dragon stone fighter rather than a swordie. It’d be pretty challenging but I’m sure the end result will be nice.
Samus makes me happy. My first smash was brawl and I loved her so much, and now that I try to play the game more seriously it’s nice I can enjoy that familiarity of her without worrying about how good she is
Cool video! One thing I'd like you to know though is that Kirby's up b can snap to ledge, from actually a really large distance below the ledge as well. His up b doesn't cancel once he reaches the peak, but he does grab ledge immediately as he starts descending, and it grabs ledge from immensely far down.
My favorite thing about my main Pac-man is all of the awesome setups he has and how much creativity his kit enforces. There’s so much you can do with it which makes it so fun to always brainstorm new uses for all of his moves and new funny ways to KO people. My least favorite thing is how campy he can be and how they removed so much of his funny setups from 4 (No longer able to recatch fruit more than once without using B, Utilt no longer hits Hydrant, Usmash only sends backwards, etc) Also removing water gushing would make Pac-Man a lot less cool and funny and would remove many awesome setups lmao
Smash Ultimate needs more videos like this. I think there are a lot of positive things about this game and it's really good. People mainly just focus on negatives. I've played every Smash game since they came out and this is my favourite. It needs to be said more
You're right about the Ice Climbers: ice block back in Melee and Brawl forced the opponent to approach. Now, since ice block is bad, Icies have are the ones who have to approach and suffer for it. Icies are all about baiting and punishing with a grab and when they can't do that they have to face defensive playstyles head-on whether it's zoning or characters who can space around shield well. Also Ness's mash is OP lol. (unless you're fighting Palu or swordies...)
I’d wouldn’t change flip jump’s movement, it would make flip kick spikes too luck-dependent, but I would get rid of flipstool entirely. It’s too jank to be worth it for either player. I also think you could also easily add ten frames to the duration of the animation to make it more punishable without gutting it.

ZSS: Mobility is awesome, Still rather hard to transition from 4. Wolf: Wolf Flash combos is sick, down taunt is lame as hell. Ryu: Shakunetsu Hadouken is good and I like it, but why on earth did his mobility get unchanged? Ken: I like how some of his move differ from Ryu's because he used feet, but Shoryuken is inconsistent. Joker: Back Air is a fun move, but Arsene is just better Limit and there's no compensation. Samus: Charge Shot can be charged in mid-air! So why is she lame as hell?! Dark Samus: Sinister animations, bland otherwise. Zelda: I love that she's viable now, I hate how they made her viable. Wario: He's so fun to move around, Smash Attacks feel strangley weak, especiallly down smash Villager: Black alts added is great representation, strangely his kit doesn't feel right in Ultimate Cloud: Now more balanced, but again Limit is worse Arsene. Hero: Hamser in 4th alt is cute, Language Barrier isn't. Yoshi: He feels properly good now, yet Egg Roll is the worst move in the game. Luigi: Down Tilt is frame 16 which feels good, might be just me but his combos feel harder to execute compared to before. Young Link: Since Link is now completely changed YL fills the role of classic Link but much better. He has the slowest time I got on Mob Smash 100. Lucas: He has potential to be amazing and can compete with Ness, but he keeps reminding me Ninten is not in this game. Greninja: Like Sheik his pummel is fast, like Jr he feels too similar to Smash 4. Simon: Love his soundtrack, hate how he looks. Richter: Mob Smash is busted with him, hate whip otherwise. Steve: His announcement broke Twitter, Don't like how low his jump is. Ness: For favourite: Either Poo and Paula joins his Final Smash or his socks are more detailed. For least favourite: PK Fire ruined his reputation. He's a wholesome boy but people perceive him as an annoying brat. King K Rool: I wanted a new Superheavy weight when Smash 4 didn't deliver and he was the perfect choice, Up Smash and Up air feels awkward. Mii Brawler: Suplex is funny, feels a lot slower compared to small Brawler from Smash 4 Mii Swordfighter: ........I have no idea I know next to nothing about this character. Mii Gunner: Tails Costume, Sans Costume. Captain Falcon: I like that his playstyle and gameplan is different compared to before, but he still feels clunky with a slow initial dash and awful turnaround. Mewtwo: Shadow Ball is a sick move, Up Smash is disappointingly bad. King Dedede: Final Smash is my favourite in the game, they changed the gordo stick to become random again from pre-release. Pac-Man: Grab is good and one of the best in the game, you can't re-catch Z-dropped fruits. This one disappoints me specifically because that was busted in Smash Run. Isabelle: Jab is cute and a nice callback, But she's just worse Villager. Jigglypuff: Hungrybox mains him and showcases the sickest of pop-offs, but again her voice is outdated and not cute. Roy: He feels so good and strong, Down air feels surprisingly underwhelming when hit. Chrom: Unusually janky for a swordfighter, Chromside. Olimar: His face before Hero Kamakazies him, but he requires so much effort for the lamest of characters. Robin: I like that you can now use C-Stick Bronze sword attacks to help with my playstyle, but neutral air now having a Levin sword counters it. Incineroar: Revenge is my favouite Counter in the game and makes Alohan Whip deal 70+ damage, but man I wish he wasn't this slow. Peach: Toad chiming in for her throws is cute considering he's my favourite Mario character, WHY DID THEY NOT FIX FULL HOP FLOAT DAMAGE?! Daisy: Love that she's in the game, hate how she's exactly like Peach. Mr. Game and Watch: Forward Smash is easy to sweetspot, but yeah fuck Trampoline most toxic move in the game. Lucario: Force Palm grab at 95% also shows blue screen and that's awesome, I just wish low percent Lucario is better. Shulk: Monado Arts wheel is literally Ratchet and Clank's quick select and that brings me joy, Up Tilt Buster doesn't combo and that messes me up. Piranha Plant: He's the biggest middle finger for people who says "This character doesn't have potential movesets" So continue supporting Badana Dee lovers, Shame his moveset feels awkward.
Mii swordfighter down air is such a good move, like you said it's a good edge guarding tool, it spikes, but one thing you didnt say is that it's easy to hit
It's so evil. Just because Mewtwo had good tools against Pika in Smash 4. He didn't deserve to be nerfed honestly. He was just very good, not broken in any way. He was even bad at the beginning of Smash 4. But even after he got buffed, he wasn't that present at top level play, he was still hard to use. While Pika received unecessary buffs.
My favorite thing about Ganondorf is his dair. The entire fucking game stops for a split second when you hit someone with it. It's so brutal, I love it. My least favorite thing about Ganondorf is that he's the worst in the game. Anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong.
Shieldbreaker having low knockback would be way cooler. It would also nerf my biggest gripe about Shieldbreaker being the usually most efficient followup to Shieldbreak.
Worst thing about wolf is that ye can't act out of side b in the air like fox and falco can. It would make his recovery mixups more extensive and get rid of stupid shit like dying from midstage because you messed up a b-reverse laser.
I wish incineroar was the grappler he was meant to be. He should have a frame six grab and be faster on the ground and the damage on down throw should be more. That would cool.
Down throw up tilt at 160 on snake is dumb? It’s literally an up throw that kills if you think about it (Incineroar, Mewtwo, Samus..). It’s not that bad.
The thing is I rarely use that as I for the most part take the stock around 110-120, but the fact that I know if they are living at high percents, I can condition them for the freeiest down grab up tilt, so like its easy to get kills as Snake

I get how auto-turnaround is annoying, however I would prefer it over having to be so precise with his inputs that its not doable for a lot of people. I think the ease it gives players is worth the grip. Like, it should exist and I think it was a good call dispite it being annoying.
I would love if they had a shield-B that could activate and deactivate auto-turnaround at will, so that you could play however you preferred or even take advantage of both midmatch
They could give cartless bowser jr a mix of marth and Inkling mechanics where the tip of the paint brush covers the opponent in paint which makes them take more damage like Inkling ink.

Steve’s shield should’ve been him putting on diamond armour and diamond armour takes damage like smash shields and when u get shield broken the armour breaks so it’d be perfect
I feel like Incineroar is really hype but speed and recovery screwed him over to be able to fight high tiers. Like, imagine how hype it WOULD BE seeing an Incineroar going against some of the best characters in the game without dealing with how fast he can move or how deep he can actually go offstage
As esam said about link my favorite thing is his bomb tech and combos. But my least favorite thing is nair cause it makes him easy to play to the point where most links form their boring neutral game around one move. I wish they branched out more and stopped mashing an easy move.
Pokken did a really good job with a great moveset for Lucario. I would love it if his moves in Smash were the same. But sadly he just sucks in Smash which makes me sad because Lucario is one of my favourite Pokemon.
My least favorite thing about the links is how uninspired they are. There’s so much to make them all extremely unique but they all end up with similar looking movesets. Adult link should have more nods to BOTW! Like imagine if perfect shielding made Daruk show up or if you could have revali’s gale for an up kinda like hero’s. I have no idea why Young Link doesn’t use his masks! Biggest waste of potential there. Toon link has 3 source games, WW, PHG and ST to get so much inspiration from! Plus you could give him some of the nes abilities or something! Link is supposed to be a hero whose life spans across games, it’s such a missed opportunity for them to not have multiple sources from multiple games. I just wish that the dev team worked harder to bring the link’s character to life in smash because I feel like he is one of the most uninspired characters in the roster :(

It would be badass if young link had his MM shield and sword as an alt outfit, and if his down b worked like Pokemon trainer, where he transforms with the masks. Since we didn't get skull kid it would make sense to do that.

As a Zelda main, I think they should buff her normals and physics because she has so much focus on her specials which I think is also why they make her so slow. If she was faster and had more consistent normals it would make her have to rely on her specials less I think
Me as a Banjo main: His least favorite thing about Banjo is one of my favorite things about Banjo. Me as a Zelda secondary: Resetting Phantom to Smash 4 would be horrible for the character even if you made her a little faster to compensate. She’d almost be an echo of Palu but with worse mobility and a significantly worse neutral. Having mixups is fine with Phantom because Zelda’s zoner. That’s her thing. If it were predictable she’d be way worse. Is she supposed to use Din’s Fire as an also slow mixup? Imagine if Pikachu had specific angles for Up B, that’s the kind of predictability can make or break characters. My least favorite thing with Zelda is how inconsistent her sweetspots feel. Like they buffed Falcon knee and that true combos, but Lightning Kick feels tough to land sometimes. I see some Zeldas who are good at spacing it and they are absolutely godlike.
My favorite thing about Pyra/Mythra is how they were translated to Smash, their animations, attacks, voice lines, etc. feel very accurate and/or amazing. My least favorite thing is that if you Forsight something offstage, you fall like a rock and will most likely die. Either that, or how small the window is for Photon Edge to grab the ledge. You go slightly too high and you land on stage with a bunch of lag, or you go slightly too low and fall to your death.
My least favourite thing about Pythra is how they are easily the best character and they aren’t even one of those OP characters that are fun to play against they are just boring. And they aren’t even complex, they are so fucking simple
The problem with making incineroar faster is that he has a base 60 speed stat, the only starter to have a lower speed than its preevolution. He's kinda meant to be slow, which sucks.
G&W isn't blocky cause he's 2D. It's the same thing as with Mega Man and Steve and the others you mention where they brought over near exact qualities from his original games
I know literally no one gives a crap for opinions but I just want to say some of my favorite things about some characters: Lucas in general (my main) Jokers up tilt is one of my favorite animations in the game and I don’t know why exactly. The way Mega Man was implemented into the game was perfect. He’s the perfect character and I don’t even play him at all. Hero costume 4 because M U N C H I E. Robin down taunt is the sickest taunt imo, like I love it. The design of Zeldas neutral air. Idk why I like this one so much but it’s satisfying to me. Inkling and Bayonetta both having the exaggerated swagger of a black teen. Ness PSI Magnet gimps are sick. Wolfs overall design in this game Donkey Kongs animation where his eyes pop out of the sockets. Falco down taunt -> down smash combo Dedede crouch How well Kirby’s inhale was implemented. Wii Fit Trainer, like Mega Man, is an unironically well made character. haha steve block go brrrrrr Incineroars wrestling poses after landing attacks Toon Link down taunt. There’s a lot more things I love but I’ll keep it at that for now because no ones gonna see this anyways lol
It'd be cool if Ridley's Down-Air worked like Greninja's or The Belmont's. Where the sourspot of the move bounces your opponent up with you for combo extensions.

Gotta disagree on Isabelle, im glad she's a semiclone with different smash atttacks and specials and the jab... Plus she created the assist trophy glitch which wouldn't have happened if she was just an echo fighter, that alone made her earn her keep.
As a sma5h mewtwo main who didn't get to play him much in sm4sh, my personal complaint is how light he is. He can have a big hurtbox but he is canonically heavier then charizard. I also would like a smaller hurtbox or faster jump but he needs buffs. But I never thought of nair. That's actually a really good suggestion. I can agree. Nair is hard to react to.

Fates is one of my favorite games ever but like, come on man. Corrin in smash is such a disappointment in comparison to them in the original game. They were cool at the start, but are pretty sad in ultimate.

One thing I'd like you to know though is that Kirby's up b can snap to ledge, from actually a really large distance below the ledge as well. His up b doesn't cancel once he reaches the peak, but he does grab ledge immediately as he starts descending, and it grabs ledge from immensely far down.
My favorite thing about my main Pac-man is all of the awesome setups he has and how much creativity his kit enforces. There’s so much you can do with it which makes it so fun to always brainstorm new uses for all of his moves and new funny ways to KO people.
My least favorite thing is how campy he can be and how they removed so much of his funny setups from 4 (No longer able to recatch fruit more than once without using B, Utilt no longer hits Hydrant, Usmash only sends backwards, etc)
Also removing water gushing would make Pac-Man a lot less cool and funny and would remove many awesome setups lmao

You're right about the Ice Climbers: ice block back in Melee and Brawl forced the opponent to approach. Now, since ice block is bad, Icies have are the ones who have to approach and suffer for it. Icies are all about baiting and punishing with a grab and when they can't do that they have to face defensive playstyles head-on whether it's zoning or characters who can space around shield well.
Also Ness's mash is OP lol. (unless you're fighting Palu or swordies...)

I’d wouldn’t change flip jump’s movement, it would make flip kick spikes too luck-dependent, but I would get rid of flipstool entirely. It’s too jank to be worth it for either player. I also think you could also easily add ten frames to the duration of the animation to make it more punishable without gutting it.

Young Link: Since Link is now completely changed YL fills the role of classic Link but much better. He has the slowest time I got on Mob Smash 100.
Lucas: He has potential to be amazing and can compete with Ness, but he keeps reminding me Ninten is not in this game.
Greninja: Like Sheik his pummel is fast, like Jr he feels too similar to Smash 4.
Simon: Love his soundtrack, hate how he looks.
Richter: Mob Smash is busted with him, hate whip otherwise.
Steve: His announcement broke Twitter, Don't like how low his jump is.
Ness: For favourite: Either Poo and Paula joins his Final Smash or his socks are more detailed. For least favourite: PK Fire ruined his reputation. He's a wholesome boy but people perceive him as an annoying brat.
Ganondorf: His attacks feel the most powerful they have ever been, but man I miss old Up Smash.
Sonic: Dash Attack is a good dash attack now, his jump sound is outdated and has to change to Cha, Whohohohooho.
Palutena: She's actually good now and funtions, she's also overrated.
King K Rool: I wanted a new Superheavy weight when Smash 4 didn't deliver and he was the perfect choice, Up Smash and Up air feels awkward.
Mii Brawler: Suplex is funny, feels a lot slower compared to small Brawler from Smash 4
Mii Swordfighter: ........I have no idea I know next to nothing about this character.
Mii Gunner: Tails Costume, Sans Costume.
Captain Falcon: I like that his playstyle and gameplan is different compared to before, but he still feels clunky with a slow initial dash and awful turnaround.
Mewtwo: Shadow Ball is a sick move, Up Smash is disappointingly bad.
King Dedede: Final Smash is my favourite in the game, they changed the gordo stick to become random again from pre-release.
Pac-Man: Grab is good and one of the best in the game, you can't re-catch Z-dropped fruits. This one disappoints me specifically because that was busted in Smash Run.
Isabelle: Jab is cute and a nice callback, But she's just worse Villager.
Jigglypuff: Hungrybox mains him and showcases the sickest of pop-offs, but again her voice is outdated and not cute.
Roy: He feels so good and strong, Down air feels surprisingly underwhelming when hit.
Chrom: Unusually janky for a swordfighter, Chromside.
Olimar: His face before Hero Kamakazies him, but he requires so much effort for the lamest of characters.
Robin: I like that you can now use C-Stick Bronze sword attacks to help with my playstyle, but neutral air now having a Levin sword counters it.
Incineroar: Revenge is my favouite Counter in the game and makes Alohan Whip deal 70+ damage, but man I wish he wasn't this slow.
Peach: Toad chiming in for her throws is cute considering he's my favourite Mario character, WHY DID THEY NOT FIX FULL HOP FLOAT DAMAGE?!
Daisy: Love that she's in the game, hate how she's exactly like Peach.
Mr. Game and Watch: Forward Smash is easy to sweetspot, but yeah fuck Trampoline most toxic move in the game.
Lucario: Force Palm grab at 95% also shows blue screen and that's awesome, I just wish low percent Lucario is better.
Shulk: Monado Arts wheel is literally Ratchet and Clank's quick select and that brings me joy, Up Tilt Buster doesn't combo and that messes me up.
Piranha Plant: He's the biggest middle finger for people who says "This character doesn't have potential movesets" So continue supporting Badana Dee lovers, Shame his moveset feels awkward.

It's so evil. Just because Mewtwo had good tools against Pika in Smash 4. He didn't deserve to be nerfed honestly. He was just very good, not broken in any way. He was even bad at the beginning of Smash 4. But even after he got buffed, he wasn't that present at top level play, he was still hard to use. While Pika received unecessary buffs.

Down throw up tilt at 160 on snake is dumb? It’s literally an up throw that kills if you think about it (Incineroar, Mewtwo, Samus..). It’s not that bad.
The thing is I rarely use that as I for the most part take the stock around 110-120, but the fact that I know if they are living at high percents, I can condition them for the freeiest down grab up tilt, so like its easy to get kills as Snake

I get how auto-turnaround is annoying, however I would prefer it over having to be so precise with his inputs that its not doable for a lot of people. I think the ease it gives players is worth the grip. Like, it should exist and I think it was a good call dispite it being annoying.
I would love if they had a shield-B that could activate and deactivate auto-turnaround at will, so that you could play however you preferred or even take advantage of both midmatch

I feel like Incineroar is really hype but speed and recovery screwed him over to be able to fight high tiers. Like, imagine how hype it WOULD BE seeing an Incineroar going against some of the best characters in the game without dealing with how fast he can move or how deep he can actually go offstage
As esam said about link my favorite thing is his bomb tech and combos. But my least favorite thing is nair cause it makes him easy to play to the point where most links form their boring neutral game around one move. I wish they branched out more and stopped mashing an easy move.

Both lucario and little mac should be redesigned. They are dumb and don't work at all. When you win as lucario, it feels like you cheated.
Pokken did a really good job with a great moveset for Lucario. I would love it if his moves in Smash were the same. But sadly he just sucks in Smash which makes me sad because Lucario is one of my favourite Pokemon.

My least favorite thing about the links is how uninspired they are. There’s so much to make them all extremely unique but they all end up with similar looking movesets.

Link is supposed to be a hero whose life spans across games, it’s such a missed opportunity for them to not have multiple sources from multiple games. As a Zelda main, I think they should buff her normals and physics because she has so much focus on her specials which I think is also why they make her so slow. If she was faster and had more consistent normals it would make her have to rely on her specials less I think
Me as a Banjo main: His least favorite thing about Banjo is one of my favorite things about Banjo.
Me as a Zelda secondary: Resetting Phantom to Smash 4 would be horrible for the character even if you made her a little faster to compensate. She’d almost be an echo of Palu but with worse mobility and a significantly worse neutral. Having mixups is fine with Phantom because Zelda’s zoner. That’s her thing. If it were predictable she’d be way worse. Is she supposed to use Din’s Fire as an also slow mixup? Imagine if Pikachu had specific angles for Up B, that’s the kind of predictability can make or break characters.
My least favorite thing with Zelda is how inconsistent her sweetspots feel. Like they buffed Falcon knee and that true combos, but Lightning Kick feels tough to land sometimes. I see some Zeldas who are good at spacing it and they are absolutely godlike.

My favorite thing about Pyra/Mythra is how they were translated to Smash, their animations, attacks, voice lines, etc. feel very accurate and/or amazing. My least favorite thing is that if you Forsight something offstage, you fall like a rock and will most likely die. Either that, or how small the window is for Photon Edge to grab the ledge. You go slightly too high and you land on stage with a bunch of lag, or you go slightly too low and fall to your death.
My least favourite thing about Pythra is how they are easily the best character and they aren’t even one of those OP characters that are fun to play against they are just boring. And they aren’t even complex, they are so fucking simple
The problem with making incineroar faster is that he has a base 60 speed stat, the only starter to have a lower speed than its preevolution. He's kinda meant to be slow, which sucks.
G&W isn't blocky cause he's 2D. It's the same thing as with Mega Man and Steve and the others you mention where they brought over near exact qualities from his original games
I know literally no one gives a crap for opinions but I just want to say some of my favorite things about some characters:
Lucas in general (my main)
Jokers up tilt is one of my favorite animations in the game and I don’t know why exactly.
The way Mega Man was implemented into the game was perfect. He’s the perfect character and I don’t even play him at all.
Hero costume 4 because M U N C H I E.
Robin down taunt is the sickest taunt imo, like I love it.
The design of Zeldas neutral air. Idk why I like this one so much but it’s satisfying to me.
Inkling and Bayonetta both having the exaggerated swagger of a black teen.
Ness PSI Magnet gimps are sick.
Wolfs overall design in this game
Donkey Kongs animation where his eyes pop out of the sockets.
Falco down taunt -> down smash combo
Dedede crouch
How well Kirby’s inhale was implemented.
Wii Fit Trainer, like Mega Man, is an unironically well made character.

Toon Link down taunt.
There’s a lot more things I love but I’ll keep it at that for now because no ones gonna see this anyways lol
It'd be cool if Ridley's Down-Air worked like Greninja's or The Belmont's. Where the sourspot of the move bounces your opponent up with you for combo extensions.
Pac can actually force water to go up by shielding at mid shield health

hero is a really fun character to mess around with but horrible to play against because they can just land a stray crit and kill you at 20%
I love your long list videos and would love to see more of them :)
My least favourite thing about Ganondorf is, that he isn't a dark wizard. My favourite thing is that he is (or at least would be) still scary to play against.
