I was looking for a channel that speaks about older games and play through it like TotallyPointlessTV or Josh Strife Plays . I think you are on the good path so keep on .
I loved how the game let the cop actually keep his service pistol after the intro cutscene/gameplay unlike many other supernatural horror games as a security blanket, only to find out it's useless against ghosts outside of a few specific enemy types. The handgun even has infinite ammo to rub it in.
The game still looks amazing after all these years, and I've finished it twice years ago, first on the PS2, then by emulation (PCSX2). Gameplay was fun & challenging, the story & setting really drew me in, and the voice acting of the characters were solid good. The protagonist, Lazarus Jones, voiced by Rob Paulsen, I best remember in shows like Saber Rider, TMNT 1987, and the Gummi Bears. Ghosthunter is no doubt a very overlooked and forgotten classic. I would definitely play this much more if it had a PC port, but that's just wishful my wishful 2 cents.
I recently came across an old ps2 game in my storage called Metal Arms: Glitch in the System. It was an under rated absolute gem. Anyone else in the comments remember this game? Lanslet should absolutely do a review of that game if you can find a copy of it!!
Good job! You cover some interesting games i havent seen talked about in many places. Some feedback would be: Incorporate some clips of in game dialogue/sound and go through the story more!
Thank you! I'll try incorporating more of the game's audio in the upcoming videos. As for the story, I try covering the basic parts of the plot to avoid heavy spoilers as much as I can.
No worries. You can always section it off with a spoiler warning. I consume copious amounts of these types of videos before sleep so i'm starting to run out haha@@Lanslet
yes, good old times, i remenber when i was a kid and i couldnt defeat the big robot(one of the last bosses u fight if im not wrong) and then i discovered i need to use the ghost vision to see the week spots, my poor english didnt help back then. 😂
This was a real sleeper hit for me. One of those games I had no idea about that I picked up from the used game section and had a blast with. Same as Shadowhearts that got me hooked on the series, especially after realising it was a sort of sequel to Koudelka on the PS1 that I loved.
Φίλοι Για Πάντα, thankfully a short lived band. Seriously now, I have this game since it was released and never went past the school level. Time to get grinding.
I remember this game and how I wanted to play it back in the day but never found it in stores ( Saudi Arabia ) , I used to see it in our local PlayStation Magazine
Haha. This game kicked so much butt! Simple silly little touches of horror but never too serious like a base b movie in the 90s or ,80s fun grind house horror and. Evil dead like approach too the story still a favorite from the ps2 love to get a copy again one day. ❤️
I busted a ghost once....I was night manager at a Subway Sandwich franchise and I walked into the bathroom to clean it at the end of the night....bam ghost doing lines off the back of the toilet in there. had to kick him out. Wouldn't share
I remember buying this game about ten years ago for less than $5. Now its more than $60 for an incomplete copy. I was an idiot for selling all of my games I owned, goddamn...
Whos here after it got announced for ps plus premium
This guy!! 👋
Honestly needs a re-release or little remaster this game is full of so much personality and is perfectly casted and acted and needs a second chance
They just announced one. It's coming to psn in a week or so.
its out on ps5 the og one
Another fun video man. Those graphics show off just how powerful the PS2 could be
The fact that the protagonist has crow's feet when he smiles is oddly impressive for the ps2.
I know right? This game has some top tier wrinkles
Maybe because it was one of the few ps2 games that supported higher definitions.
Wow, thats nuts!
It was one of my first games I bought for my ps2 back in 2000s, great to see it being reviewed on YT

I don't know man, the pistol was pretty reliable for me, because of its infinite ammo. Terrible damage, sure, but still usable.
@@Lanslet It's been more than a decade for me, but what I remember was that it didn't do anything to the starter ghosts
The game's graphics and animation still look fantastic even 2 decades later.
Okay, I'm really enjoying your videos. Obscure, fun, informative. I'm glad I stumbled onto your channel.
needed these laughs after a long ass day today bro u earned my sub
This game for its time looked amazing and still has aged well today. A totally underrated hidden gem for the PS2

"Levels drag on and on" sounds like modern open world games. Product ahead of its time😂
No outposts to capture or towers to climb though!

“As well as these nuts” I get the reference 😂 if you know you know
The greek dub of the game is hilarious as you would expect !
"ghost in the shell i mean machine" nice reference
I remember always wanting this game for the ps2 but never actually got it.
why is Tyler Durden a cop now
Promoted from hallucination to ghost man
Because the concept art of Lazarus was literally a drawing of Tyler Durden and they changed him a bit lol

Love your profile picture 😄
Picked this up a few days ago on ps5, great game!

Don't worry about it too much, the retro game market is a fickle mistress
I saw that manslayer reference.
Finally beat it last night
If you are greek god why you lose?
deeznuts as I'm eating almonds in chocolate
Malaka :DDDDD
very good game
For anyone interested I'm doing a heavily edited playthrough of this game on my channel
It's better on ps3
