Holy shit what an incredibly under rated video actually. The edits from this for being 9 years old are actually impressive for when it came out. Thank you! Subbed!
That was a really good summary of the rules! Also, you can put tape over the stats on the character cards to thicken them up, allowing the pointy things to hang on better. If they're still loose, add another layer of tape until they stick!
Hey, great video! It was very informative and easy to understand. I know this video is old but is there any where I can go to find more in depth rules on the haunts? The haunts are kind of vague on some things. The same kind of goes for the omens and items. I've tried googling certain things but don't find exactly what I'm looking for. An example is as the Ourbouros head, when rolling the 1 die for movement, can you only have as many actions as you roll? What if you roll a 0, do you just do nothing even if an explorer is there with you? Are moving and attacking counted towards your actions? It's so confusing.
You're right that some of the haunt rules can be pretty confusing. I'd recommend searching for or asking your question(s) at the game's forums on BoardGameGeek: boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/10547/betrayal-house-hill/forums/0 You're bound to find someone there who's played the same haunt as you and can help. Good luck!
If the revealed tile has a symbol in the corner (for an event, item, or haunt) then the player stops no matter what their speed is. Otherwise, they can keep moving.
Is there one that goes more into dice and or monsters. My family played our first game yesterday and we were confused about how to go about placing monsters and how many monsters you place in a game. And the number of dice required to roll for cards was confusing
Is it a dun game or not really?? Isaw it on alsot of best games, but from all these comments seems its very confusing. Just want to know if its really fun?? Thanks!!
Its a game that has a lot of great "Remember When..." moments. That said there is a bit of luck when Haunts occur, which can sometimes feel unbalanced. You may also come across the same Haunts over multiple playthroughs, which aren't as exciting as the first time experiencing it. For many its one of the first really thematic heavy games they add to their collection, and it does do some very innovative interactions. This does give it a bit of a nostalgia boost and can still be a fun time if you care more about the journey than the destination.
It wasn't till after playing a game of this and months later watching this video, do I at tje very end of the video, get why it's called "Betrayal" OOOOOOH lol

This was actually an awesome video. 😂 thank you and I’m subscribing now. ❤
if a person has 4 speed and moves 1 tile do they continue moving after a tile is revealed

Thanks for this! 😀
what happens to the items/cards when the explore turns into the traitor?
Usually they traitor keeps all cards attached to them (unless otherwise stated).

not funny, just sarcastic
This video is really annoying. But at least it's short.
Yeah, just exain the game without all the horrible attempts at "comedy".

I HAD A BLAST and laughed
