If you do ever replace your oxygen sensor, I was taught to always replace both at the same time. When you replace a bad oxygen sensor, both oxygen sensors wont be in sync anymore which the car will notice that and probably after a week, you'll get that same code saying an oxygen sensor is bad.
I also have the 2 door civic 2003 but my civic only has the catalytic converter/manifold combination that is located in the engine bay, not underneath like in this video.
Question, I’m still learning and I’m doing this on my first car. When I bought my car I had to make it from an illegal “off-road” to a legal street car and in this process I essentially had to replace the entire exhaust system. The guy I bought it from had an emissions blocker sensor on the upstream sensor “hole” and it was connected to the input by the cat converter. Do I need an upstream o2 sensor? (The one closest to the engine) or am I only supposed to have the one in the cat converter? I ask bc the video only showed him change the downstream o2 sensor
How frequent is this the solution to a p0420 code? I understand that nothing can ever be predicted 100% but is this a good place to start when diagnosing this code? Or simply put, is this a common culprit to the p0420 code?
I had the P0139 error, so I replaced both sensors to be on the safe side with 1AAuto parts. When I went to clear the code on the OBD2, I noticed a second code pop up P0135. What can I do? Is there anything that I should check first before buying an OEM oxygen sensor? (I've seen online that some Hondas might reject off market sensors). 2005 Honda Civic LX 1.7
did u ever figure this out? i got a PO135 too and i’ve replaced it with an after market one, but it’s not working. i contacted Honda and they quoted me $445. 2005 special edition 1.7L
I too have a 2003 civic LX 2 door and my civic only has the catalytic converter/manifold combination in the engine bay and yes there are 2 sensors right next to each other. My civic doesn’t have a catalytic converter underneath like in this video.
Question? I had a p0139 code and had the oxygen sensor replaced earlier this year, so it was covered under warranty and had that done this past weekend but now I have a p0141 code coming from the new oxygen sensor. What do I do?

Good, simple vid. Thanks

Literally saving money watching these videos. SMH this job would have cost me between $150 - $250 going to the dealership.
Thanks for the help great video instruction.
this would be the sensor that pops the p0139 code, correct ?
Sanchez Fran two years late but yes!
Thank you. It does actually help me a lot👍🏻

Make sure your throttle body is clean, purge valve solenoid may need replacing

Does it have to be torqued to that specification? What would happen if we don’t?
When using jack stands would you recommend jacking up the front or the back for best access?
$400 bucks later. Thanks 1AA!
What if I don’t have that catalytic converter, and it’s all straight piped?
I thought there was 2 ox sensors? I have a 2002 honda civic lx with 1 sensor on the front of the engine where the cat converter is located.
I too have a 2003 civic LX 2 door and my civic only has the catalytic converter/manifold combination in the engine bay and yes there are 2 sensors right next to each other. My civic doesn’t have a catalytic converter underneath like in this video.
The lx and ex have different exhaust systems
Wait so does it have 2?
If I changed the top sensor two weeks ago and it’s giving me oxygen sensor code again should I replace the bottom sensor too?
Question? I had a p0139 code and had the oxygen sensor replaced earlier this year, so it was covered under warranty and had that done this past weekend but now I have a p0141 code coming from the new oxygen sensor. What do I do?
Does this code, P2000, that continues to read, “Oxides of Nitrogen Trap Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 1,” mean the same thing as the O2 Sensor?
Bro, this video just saved me $80 pandemic bucks. /fistbump

P0135?
Thanks a lot
Where can I get this ?
Would the location for this oxygen sensor be the same for a 2002 Honda Accord F23A1 engine?
I think you need to cover the re-learning process after replacing the sensor.
Would this be the same part for the Si ?

is this a downstream or upstream????

Looks like it is downstream
pat osborne down
The repair may have some of the same steps but this part is not listed to fit 2006 models. +Were in Los Angeles
I’m put new o2 sensor but engine light still on.
+K Production It is possible that the sensor is defective.
K Production Hope it work out for you! Did you figure this out since then? Just in case mine does the same.
Doesn't show the 2 on the exhaust manifold....come on show all the O2 sensors on the vehicle

I have a 2003 Honda Civic... with code p0171
This is a Honda accord. Not a civic. How has this video not been taken down or the title been changed. No one in here even questioned it.
+Joystick Gamerz Thanks for the tip! We'll pass this info along to our production team.
@@1AAuto please do. I accidentally bought the wrong parts because of misinformation like this!
Pretty sure its a honda civic because i have the same car😂
no one questioned it because it's actually a civic.
