Howdy Miss Christina! Another great section of trail. Thanks for sharing! Take care and god bless you
There are no viewpoints on this trail, it’s all flat, but it’s still a wonderful walk in the woods, fresh air, exercise, and camping. No complaints from this happy hiker. Always great to hear from you, Dan. I hope you’re having a great weekend. 🥰✌🏼
Enjoy all your video.....congrats,and continue....an inspiration to me and all of us ❤
Hi, Daddy! Thank you! I love you so much and it makes me so happy that I can share with you what I’m up to. It means so much to me that you watch these videos! Thank you! Love you lots! 🥰
See how much more fun that is with a companion and less risk too!💈💈💈
Not just a companion, but THIS companion. I actually prefer hiking alone, but Jay is an exception. 😊✌🏼
Atta girl, Fireball! Glad the heel issues from the first day didn’t turn into a trip killer.
Parker
Steven! Helllllllloooooo! How wonderful to hear from you! Happy new year to you and to Betsy! Yeah, the heel is STILL bothering me a bit but doesn’t seem to be getting any worse nor preventing me from doing what I want to do, so that’s good. Again, so great to hear from you, my friend! 🥰✌🏼
More great scenery. I wanna be outside so badly right now I would gladly take beautiful & boring. Seems to be a lot of great little camping spots. Thanks for sharing.
Yes, I’m already feeling quite melancholic about this trip since it is so cold here and I’ve basically been indoors since coming home. I’m being wimpy, for sure. I could bundle up and get out there. But… I just haven’t yet. Yes, the little camp spots were delightful. It was fun, checking out a new campsite every single day. We only stayed at the same campsite once over the whole 12 days. Thanks for watching, Beth. Day three should be out in a few days. I hope you’re having a great weekend! 🥰✌🏼
Your content is always inspiring and somehow atmospheric! Fantastic work,
Thanks, Ervin. As I always say, that’s high praise coming from you. Always nice to hear from you, my dear. I hope you’re having a nice weekend. 🥰✌🏼
Yeah! Cannot wait to watch this ❤❤
Ha ha, you’re so funny, Beth. I love your enthusiasm. I hope you enjoy the video. I’ll be posting day three in about 4 to 6 days from now, as well. I hope you’re having a lovely weekend, my friend. 🥰✌🏼
@@Womaninthewoods13thank you! At this point any weekend off work is great and your video just made it that much better!
Thanks for sharing
Hi, Mister Giddy! You have the best last name, did I ever tell you that? Thanks, as always, for watching! I hope you’re having a great weekend, my dear! 🥰✌🏼
Leave no trace and take only memories.
Yup. ✌🏼
Beautiful scenery. I am glad you were able to get some potable water. That stream looked very sketchy-full of minerals and other metals that cause intestinal distress.
The guide book warns of the water sources that may be unsafe to drink from, even when filtered, thankfully. I think there were also signs in some places. Yes, never favourable to resort to sourcing water from murky ponds! Always great to hear from you, Linda! 🫶🏻🙏🏼✌🏼
Awesome! I'm surprised we didn't run into each other!
I think we did cross paths, didn’t we? 🤔
Hi Christina you getting it done hiking all day through woods like that does get a little monotonous. Both of you stay safe and enjoy yourselves
Hello, Mr. Seaton! Always great to hear from you. Yes, monotonous, but in a happily hypnotic kind of way. January and February are tough months up here in Toronto, Canada, as it is so damn cold, so windy and so dark. But, I’ll get through it like I always do. However, this little trip was such a wonderful infusion into this long winter, despite how flat and “unremarkable” it was. I loved it. Thank you for watching, Philipp. I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend! 🥰🙏🏼✌🏼
It's great to see you back in my feed on another long(ish) hiking trip. I really enjoy your content!! 😊 I stepped back from TH-cam for a little bit, right after your France Hiking series. That remains one of my favorite things to watch here! Anywho, welcome back to the U.S. and amazing visuals as usual! ❤😊
Hello! Yes, I totally remember you. What is your first name? And what part of the USA do you reside in? You have no idea how much your simple comment telling me that you really enjoy my content means to me. Thank you so much. Thank you for all of your support, for watching and for commenting. I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend. Day three of this little adventure will be out in a few days. Take care! 🥰🙏🏼✌🏼
@Womaninthewoods13 aww, you're very welcome! I'm Jami and born and raised in Kentucky 😊❤️
@@Jamibaby82 Kentucky! Nice! That isn’t so far from me, actually. Anyhoo, very nice to meet you, Jami. 😊✌🏼
I hope that the foot problem that you are experiencing here isn't something that is going to stay with you on the whole hike Christina. That is an awful thing to deal with when you are trying to get a hike accomplished. I just hope that you will be careful and not overdo it by just powering through and ignoring the pain. I guess that you know your body better than anyone though so I am hoping for the best. Thanks for taking us along on this journey. See you on the next one where I hope you will be able to say "my foot pain seems to have went away".
Hello, hello, Mr. Campfire! Unfortunately, a heel spur is not something that just goes away. It is a calcium buildup on the bottom of the foot, almost like a growth of bone. It can only be removed surgically. However, often, once it’s removed surgically, it just grows back again. I’m sure mine is caused by the 31 ultra-marathons and 21 marathons, along with all the in-city running on hard pavement that I did to train for those races, that I ran during my marathon running years. Not to mention running on treadmills, the worst thing imaginable for the human body with regards to running surfaces. Anyhoo, it’s something I have to manage and deal with, and will do without complaint. It’s not an acute pain, just a dull one, maybe 3.5 on a scale of one to 10. I appreciate your care and concern, my friend. Thanks, as always, for watching and commenting. Have a wonderful week, my dear! 🥰🙏🏼✌🏼
@@Womaninthewoods13 You have an awesome week too Christina.
I'm a bit late in commenting but of course, totally enjoyed this video. I agree that continual hiking on a flat-ish trail with the same type of gait and movement can cause some joint/tissue annoyances. Hence the reason I never got into 'mall-walking' when it was popular lol. I would love to hike the Lone Star trail someday despite its lack of major elevation change :)
We loved this trail! The camp spots are so cute, there is variation in the vegetation, and if you do it as a thru-hike, you are living in the woods for days on end…what could be more soothing and regenerating? Jay and I both thought this trail was highly underrated. We loved it, and I hope you get to do it one day, too, and love it as much as we did. 🥰✌🏼
Hi Christina. Happy New Year! It's been a while. I saw a video about the Pacific Rim Trail on Vancouver Island. It looks like something you would be interested in trying. I'm sure you already know all about it. Take care of yourself. Alex
Alex! Wow! Long time no hear from! A very happy new year to you, as well! The Pacific Rim Trail is already on my “hiking hit list,” yes. But I appreciate you telling me about it all the same. I hope you’re doing very well, my friend. Thanks for saying hello. Take care and say hello more often, please! 🥰✌🏼
Good job
Haha, thanks! And thanks for watching. I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend. “See you” in about five days when I post the next video! 🥰✌🏼
I'm working in T O I always look for you lol
@@jayburne6825 Haha! For how long? Perhaps we can meet!
I work high rise window mostly in Toronto so for 20 years ...
@@jayburne6825 Oh, wow! Take any good photos while up there?
Great video. Beautifully boring is always better than staying indoors.
I'm not sure if I can direct a question to @jmgriffing0368 but I'm curious about the yellow fleece he's wearing. What material is that?
I have his channel address listed in the video description. Contact him directly there! 😊
