207) The GR5 - Day 01

The GR5 is an approximately 700-kilometre long hiking trail including 40 000 meters of ascent and traversing the heart of the French Alps from Lac Léman (aka Lake Geneva) in the north of France to the Mediterranean Sea in the south. It is one of the world’s most spectacular hiking trails. I will solo hike this trail over several weeks.
Day 1 - July 3 - 12 KMS - 6.5 HRS
Start: 12:26 PM, St-Gingolphe
End: 6:53 PM, Chalets de Bise
Ascent: 1870 m
Descent: 1225 m

I have been away from the internet for a couple weeks or so camping and helping a friend with his cabin. It looks like your camera was very busy while I was away. Wow, I have a lot of videos of yours ahead of me to catch up on. The GR5 is in full swing now. Lots of adventure ahead after "warm up" adventure with your luggage and all of the confusion that comes with that. How exciting! I feel like all the crapola that happened before you started the hike maybe had ya unsettled but once you actually got out on the trail all was good. Beautiful scenery already! Wow! LOVED the donkey 🫏 in the cabin! Looks like it got steep and treacherous pretty quickly. I guess you’re gonna try to keep the earrings this time?
