My goodness all the obstacles on this phase of the trail 😮 unreal! You plowed thru them all like nobody’s business! The views and the scenery are spectacular! Thank you so much for taking the time to bring us all along on this journey. Kinda cool how you can pop in and out of 2 different countries with no border patrol! I hope the rain in the forecast ends up being a bit exaggerated. I also LOVE LOvE LoVE the idea of a vid for each day!!! Whoop 🙌🏻 Walking beside the river, one of my fav things. Oh, I love chair lifts too! Sounds silly but I do! I have a couple of shirts with chair lift designs and on them and I’ll buy any kinda chair life home decor I come across! There are a few really cool chair lifts in Gatlinburg and I love them! Gondolas 🚠 🚡 too 🥰

What a challenge! How you figure out the trail in many areas is amazing. You always manage to connect with good kind people. Great you allowed yourself a day 0, thanks to the kindness of Sylvie you were in a dry warm place.
Those snow and water crossings look as though one wrong step ......
Stay safe and thanks for taking us along on your fabulous adventure.

In Samoëns I had my first holidays in the French Alps. I was seven years old. It has a place in my heart as here I learned to love the mountains. I was as a child very impressed by the waterfalls, and in your video I see they are still impressive. What a footage! And what a difficult section with the fog and the snow. The snowfields start very low, probably because we had a spring with very wet weather this year. I enjoy all your videos on the GR5 so far.

Hey Miss Christina! Trail looked tough in places. Rock scrambles and some sketchy snow crossings. Spectacular water falls! Stay safe and god bless

The GR5 has beautiful views at every turn. But the loose rock, traversing ice fields, and the elevation changes shows that it has dangerous sections to it. Yet it barely slows you down. Keep up the good work!

Another beautiful stretch of the trail but hiking along the side of the mountain over ice and snow has to be so stressful that the enjoyment factor of it plummets a little bit. I don't mind hiking up or down in snow, but, across on the side is not for me. If you stumble going up or down at least you are still on the trail, if you slide down sideways you likely will no longer be on trail for awhile. Oh well, enough of the babbling nonsense from me. It was another beautiful portion of the trail today. Thank you for sharing your day with us.

Whoa! Those stairs are crazy! Beautiful waterfalls! Gorgeous scenery! Glad you took a rest day. What was the temperature in all that snow?

Beautiful foggy day. I am glad you found a Good Samaritan to give you shelter and a place to heal. Which is more technical, the snow or rocks?

Yikes! Those snow crossings looked scary. ...and I know it's usually worse in real life than what you see on camera. Do you wish you had brought micro spikes/krampons or was it okay?
