You know, thinking about it, it was actually sort of sweet that he even took Matilda to work in the first place. Considering that he had no problems leaving her alone since she was in diapers, there are moments in the movie where he and the mom show that they have some care for her. She was just so different from them that they didn’t mix, but thankfully she still ended up with a happy ending.

@@nthgth True most of the times. But, there are many dog shit parents who act like assholes in public. The children sadly have to deal with it, and often if you as a child try to call them or others out on the behavior. The above mentioned happens, your criticisms are thrown away because your a kid. Doesn't matter what your point was, your a kid so your not smart enough. Just because someone is an adult doesn't make them more right or more ethical then a child. In a time when people would put God-knows-what into food to disguise their poor quality, he made the quality of his condiments and the fact that you weren’t basically buying a chemistry set’s waste the main selling point. Heck, Heinz was one of the big pushers for passing the Pure Food and Drug Act (yes, you could argue that it was primarily to drive out his competition that used additives, but it did set good standards for the entirety of food production).
