Oh the esr keyboard case you forgot to mention that that flap also covers the Apple Pencil and also has a slot for the Apple Pencil. As well as the case allows for portrait mode and in the case has two more positions to rise the height while in landscape as well. Thanks as always. Also if you get the 11 inch esr case it doesn’t have the function row. It would be good if you mentioned the size variant. Magic Keyboard needs a place to secure the Apple Pencil. Maybe a flap like the esr. And I would also be worried about that metal hinge being exposed and prone to scratches.
I brought ESR Rebound Keyboard for my 11” iPad Pro. It is really a cool accessory albeit it weight heavily among the 3 products reviewed here. The price point is simply comfortable to me.
I’ve had all 3 of these cases for my different iPads. My least favorite was the Logitech. Just takes up too much space on my desk. To me, the ESR is the best magic keyboard alternative on the market. Having to charge up the case periodically isn’t a huge deal. Especially considering I’m at my desk a majority of the day anyways.
The Logitech keyboard seems to take up about the same space as a regular laptop, no? Maybe a bit more if you really tilt it, since you can tilt it more than a regular MacBook.
I personally use Magic Keyboard with my air M1 for my school work and it work pretty well (the first gen Magic Keyboard) for typing and some basic video editing
Thanks for the honest review. I have just ordered my new Apple Magic Keyboard on what I have seen and your review. Thank you. Many Thanks Regards Craig.
I just love how people continually make excuses for Apple products that have flaws that they don't like and then say, "it's not a big deal for me". But when reviewing other company products, they point out flaws and then say something to the effect of, "this is really a bad design..."
@@ivansilvas You've heard the phrase "all that glitters ain't gold." Not saying Apple products are trash, not even close - heck I'm even deep in the Apple eco system, but not all of their stuff is good. I'm not blinded by all the Apple hooplah.
Thanks for watching and for the feedback. The top down shot needs adjusting, it's setup typcially for phone case reviews so it was too close to the table which was why it was screwing up, lesson learnt! Appreciate the feedback.
The main issue I have with logi's is the lack of an escape key. they very well could have moved the home button to replace the sleep button and then put he escape key on it, not to mention the kick stand thing is more of a pain than I had originally thought it would be since the desks I am on never have the space for the kick stand and throw the iPad right off the edge. and that apple pencil cutout at the top bothers me too not gonna lie, because when you're holding it in portrait you have one hand gripping case and the other gripping this weird hole that kinda hurts after a bit on my current pro. but also the lack of real hinges on the stand is awful, I would have loved to see it mimic the surface pro kickstand just for longevity and sturdiness as I did see that stand really flexing when you adjusted it. also, one little tip for your top down shots, turn off auto focus. like dial in your focus and keep it there, that'll get rid of auto focus freak outs when you're moving around a ton. you keep the products at a pretty consistent level so having a locked focus should not be bad for viewers.

I bought the esr and eagerly waited. Put it on today and there’s static weird noise when scrolling and zooming stuff , when I have the case on. When I take the case off, it’s totally fine. So something definitely is up with the esr rebound case
Agree. I did get the Magic Keyboard (having used the Logitech previously and found the keyboard a bit flimsy and fidgety when typing, but it was nice to be able to remove the keyboard), but I tend to use a drawing lap desk that tilts when I draw, so I lay the iPad flat on it. I do use a keyboard more than I thought I would…using it now. The lack of protection when off the Magic Keyboard is a con. I have an ESR folio, which works fine when I’m on the go and don’t have my drawing desk…but is an extra cost.
Great round-up! I'm mostly interested in the combo touch. Could you weight only the case with the iPad without the keyboard? I'm interested how much weight the combo touch adds to the iPad in hand only mode. Thanks!
Thank you for the review! I just picked up the 13” Pro and am looking for a good keyboard. I currently use a Brydge kb on my 10.5” Pro. What do you think of Brydge’s current offerings?
I haven’t tried a Brydge keyboard in a while, i typically prefer keyboards that use the dock connector but maybe i should pick one up and check it out…
Is there anyway to protect the sides of the iPad when using the Magic Keyboard? Also with the other two, when detached, are the iPad's side buttons still accessible? Brilliant video BTW!
I have one of them with magnetic case, I found that I hear the static noise around the Apple logo, is more higher, there is nothing wrong in the iPad, I don’t know if magnetic cases won’t harm the iPad
It needs a quite room, put your ear on the middle before putting it in and after You will hear it, as I have another iPad Pro 2023, same low static noise , I was going to send the 2024 to service but I cancelled it and returned the case
I tried the ESR. I don’t know if it was defective or just bad, but the trackpad was awful. I kept pressing it and nothing would happen, and when it did, it was quite laggy. I ended up returning it. I like the concept of the Logitech, but I bought one a few years ago when it came out and returned it. I didn’t realize how bad it was to use on a lap (barely usable), and, when working in a small area, could barely get it to fit, because of the space that the stand (which I like) takes on the table. If you know that your space is limited, the Logitech will not be an option.
@@MichaelsTechTalk No, I didn’t. I was within return period, so just marked as returning it as defective and sent it back. And yes, sadly, the Magic Keyboard is pretty much the only one I’ve tried so far that works well, and can sit on my lap without any issues. Too bad the Logitech is not an option on that regard, because I would prefer to have all corners protected on the device.

Hello there, May i ask for review on this 3 keyboard base on one particular software ?? Lightroom Ipad 1. while using Lightroom ipad version, does this all 3 keyboard functionality well ? 2. while inside the Lightroom ipad, is the DELETE button can really remove the photos one by one or it does not work out ? thanks
I assume you mean can you just use the keyboard without using the case? If so, no you can't. The keyboard connects via the dock connector on the iPad which connects using the case.
old Logitech Combo Touch for the 11 inch M1 iPad Pro is compatible with new 11 inch iPad pro M4 ? or only the new one for the 11inch M4 iPad Pro is compatible with the 11inch inch M4 iPad Pro ? On the contrary the new Logitech Combo Touch 2024 is compatible with the old 11 inch M1 iPad Pro ??
I want to ask you that, because I have an old 11 M1 iPad Pro Logitech combo touch case and I want to buy the new M4 iPad Pro 11 inch. So if the old Logitech case is compatible with the new m4 11 inch iPad Pro, I don't buy the new Logitech combo touch case for the new m4 iPad 11 inch.
My 13” M4 iPad Pro Magic Keyboard does not wobble like yours. The hinge on mine is rock solid. Maybe I have a really strong one, or maybe you have a really weak one.
I think you have misunderstood. It doesn’t wobble, the hinge isn’t entirely flush with the flat bottom of the case which is turn shifts the weight balance of the iPad when it’s at a certain angle. When you tap the iPad when it’s at that angle it seems like it will tip over.
