    Great video! I still have a hard time getting certain sounds to gel together nicely. Do you use an amplifier for your headphones? I struggle with the volume on the OP, I feel like I always have the master cranked and the drive setting up, because in tape mode I feel like I have to keep the input low or else I get too much distortion regardless of my drive setting. So getting a good mix is so difficult for me. I pretty much always am just recording into Ableton but struggle with writing and recording on the OP1 itself.

      Chris C Hmm...weird that you’re having that problem...So even if you record at low volumes in tape mode you get distortion? Also, have you messed with the mix master button where you can mix each track after recording?

    What drum samples do you use primarily? I love the drum samples used in your OP1 performance "Sketch" video, but you seem to have so many good ones!

    What would you say is the main advantage to using the sequencer for the drums over just recording them live?

    • @LiamKillen
      @LiamKillen  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you’re going for a looser feel, live might be better. If you’re going for a super even, quantized feel, the sequencer is ideal

    Is it just me or do your fingers look yellow (Cheeto like)? Great videos as usual.

    • @LiamKillen
      @LiamKillen  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Still working on my video colouring skills/lighting. I pushed the saturation A LOT in this one to brighten up that angle. Yes, I did sacrifice my finger colours to get that popping blue haha. I promise i'm in good health.

    Could you resample that kick to add effects in the drum sampler and then re record it?
