A place you might check out is Yazawa Meat in Shinigawa. Lunch price of like 5000ish yen per person for A5. Nice vid as always.

Can u recommend a good beef restaurant in Tokyo ? Will be there in a few days.... Heard that 551 is good, but i am open to suggestions :)

A great place and actually on the less costly side of things is something like "Yazawa Meat" in the north west Shinigawa area. My understanding is the restaurant is owned by the meat company and so they are able to keep the cost relatively low for people to enjoy it. For 3 of us getting a combo steak/hamburg which they use A5 quality for both and three appetizers it cost us roughly $240 US at dinner. They also offer lunch prices for less like $30-$75 a person. The hamburg steak was pretty good, but the tenderness and flavor of the steak is just too good to pass up. If I go when I'm there in March I'll just get a bigger cut of steak instead of hamburg and steak. The meal they had in this video was like $300 US per person. Which I'm sure is majorly delicious, but I can't go too nuts you know? Actually I would totally go too nuts if I had someone to do it with. Cough cough Tyler/Josh.

That's pretty nice. Also thought I'd drop the knowledge that Misono has a branch in Ginza and Shinjuku as well. So if you wanna drop some cash, I'd hella recommend it. :D
Lol. Hey I normally don't go for hella expensive places either. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to afford to go more than like once every two years as like a special occasion.

There is a place in Ginza called Gomei. Gomei is also a Teppanyaki restaurant and it specializes in Akita Wagyu (unlike many of the others that feature Kobe) The dining experience is centralized around Akita including many of the side dishes and condiments. Gomei offers a set menu which you can select on making reservations. They will also work around any dietary restrictions. It was truly an amazing experience. We had the dining room to ourselves and enjoyed a slow paced meal and great conversation with our chef. Be prepared to spend about $300 USD per a person.
If that's out of your budget there is a Kobe wagyu place in Shibuya called Han no Daidokoro Dogenzaka. It's more of a yakiniku bbq place and they offer a very affordable Kobe Wagyu experience for about $60 USD per a person.

Sorry but when she said “I usually eat my meat well done” my jaw dropped n respect flew out the window lol. There is the off chance she wasn’t referring to steak as most westerners know it but to Japanese or korean style bbq where meat is often cooked medium to medium well or sometimes well, but still I’m fairly certain she meant all beef .

Thank you for sharing the video ! . . . which makes me SO incredibly hungry in the middle of the night ! XD
But if you two ever come ( back ) to Kobe, please do try out those two restaurants as well !
They serve reasonably-priced 'and' high-quality Kobe beef, believe me ! :)

As romantic as it seems to play calming music and massage the cow, the point is to feed the cow fattening food and restrict its exercise so it gets fat. Most cows are slaughtered at 18 months old, but a Kobe cow is slaughtered at 24-36 months old, at which point they shoot a bolt into its head and slit its throat. A cow would naturally live into its 20s rather than 2-3 years old. So I can think of a lot of other lives I would want, particularly a longer one.
