@@RikestRik42 Maybe so. The construction is similar to that of a number of catamarans that I've been on. Definitely not lacking quality or taste, in my opinion.
Fantastic boat, but as a liveaboard, there seems to be a few omissions, clothes washer, dryer, watermaker, etc. Having said that with those included or budgeted for and maybe a wrap around flybridge enclosure, it would be a superb boat that you would be able to happily liveaboard. The engines and quality of build, from solid side rails to electronics are just great. And as with any other man with a pulse, I fully agree that the hostess with the most just keeps me watching the vids, she could read the phone book :)
Incredible boat. Stunning hostess. If I had $1.14 mil to burn, I'd spring for it and live on the darned thing. Looks like a dream. Althought I'd prefer one of Fountaine Pajot's catamaran sailboats. Those are majestic.

I love this boat so much, one design thing I would change would be to move the sink to a different (e.g. opposite) location in the galley and replace it with the prep area, and have the doors fold back more if they don't already. That way you can serve dishes to the cockpit area, perhaps have a stool or two in the cockpit at the prep area to turn into a breakfast bar, cocktail bar, etc., depending on time of day and function needed.

I love the Fontaine Pajot 40 Best boat out there for live aboard IMHO. You missed the in floor storage in the kitchen and living areas. The red thing on the counter is a suction device to open them, rather than having a latch. The lack of a latch mechanism creates a flat floor. Those storage areas are huge. Because I'm disabled and spend most of my time in a wheelchair I prefer Cats for the additional space through the beam and the wider gangways, we are currently looking at a Silent 60 for a possible summertime "live aboard". I find the combination of Power + Cat + Solar very attractive.
@@NautiStyles Thank you for the offer, the virus thing has us locked down a bit (I live in the UK) and we're not sure how it's going to affect our plans going forward, we can't even travel right now. You guys did a great job of trying to show the boat without much help from the sales person. Good job on your part. My wife wasn't impressed at all with the kitchen area. Boat more for entertaining than long range and live aboard. I would love for you to tour a good power catamaran for long range/live aboard. Thanks for you time.
I think this boat is perfect for your new home and believe this will in fact be your reveal on Saturday !! It touches all the bases will plenty of room and a beautiful layout ! That engine room is a masterpiece with plenty of room to move around and performance and docking in great. Of all the boats you have reviewed I have noticed you always love the size and room on the " Cats " and it just fits your lifestyle !! Can't wait until Saturday !!!!!!!
If you are going to be at the dock or rafted most of the time, go power but if you are boaters, go sail; your range suddenly increases and you're welcome in any community. __/)) Cheers
Fine if you don't mind taking 10 hours to make the 60 mile crossing from Florida to Bimini and then another 10-12 hours to get anywhere else. I'd rather do it in 3 hours and I'd still be even more welcome in any community. I don't have any idea about what you even mean by that odd comment since sail boat people tend to be looked at as living on the cheap and not spending any money at their destinations.
@@NautiStyles Neither point is worth excluding the Silent Yachts. The wasted space, the upkeep and cost of maintenance, and longevity of the purchase there is no better choice for full utilization than the Solar Silent Yachts.
@@jerff5411 Sure sailboats have engines but those engines will still only get you sailing speed, so still 10 hours to Bimini. And who is crossing oceans? Maybe 0.1% of boaters? Probably even less than that. 500 mile range is fine for 99% of cruisers. Will easily get you on the 1200 to 1500 mile trip from Fort Lauderdale, through the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, DR/Puerto Rico and into the Virgin Islands with 2-4 fuel stops depending on if you have to outrun a storm system/make it to a port or anchorage before dark (a choice you don't have in a sailboat) or just take a leisurely cruise the whole way if conditions permit. Fuel is a decent amount of money but really isn't the biggest expense in running and properly taking care of a boat. I'm more of a destination oriented guy but I can understand the sailboat folks who believe the travelling between destinations part is the most fun.
Beautiful boat! Hard to believe it's just 44' ... looks like 60' plus based on layout. "If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up." - Ferris Bueller
We are are also trying to decide between a power and sail Cat. We thought we decided on the Excess 12. Until I found your channel and just watched this. Back to the drawing board!!!
@@NautiStyles I did, great job on pointing out all the pros and cons. I figured out I need two boats now. A Sail Cat for cruising the Med and the Atlantic and a Power Cat for the Bahamas. No Problem LOL!!!
I love the amount of space this Power Cat provides. I much prefer the richer wood finishes and hardware on some of the other yachts though. For a live aboard I want the space but prefer the warmth and "coziness" your current yacht has.
I got to get on the 2022 my4.s last week in Miami. Loved the cat but the new ones don't have the flybridge. Bummer. I like this one you are showing much better
I really enjoyed - I think I shall buy some of these. *For live-aboard, very hard to beat the top deck Beam volume of a Cat and I am an absolute fan of having the galley in the back threshold of the tail cockpit/salon. The cockpit where all the people work and play and you don't always want their traffic coming through the salon just to get to the galley. *Catamaran with engine pods; I have loved maneuvering into a marina slip with pods, so very confident even in wind, is so nice. *To be able to access and work in the engine room so easily, with excellent ventilation and also without needing to open salon floor ! *Now you toured with Dave and showed you're interested and excited to buy. But if you go back, negotiate, maintain your serious interest, but reinforce because of your TH-cam channel you see a lot of attractive choices. You have options, not locked into this boat. Also your channel may mean monthly vids about your boat and their continued relationship (maybe they recognize advertising via celebrity). Maybe that can translate to entice them to additional options and support? *Nauti-styles? 11:20
If you are struggling to make a decision between power and sail, take a hard look at the leopard 40 sailing catamaran. It comes standard with things like a generator, air conditioning and solar panels! Those are just a name a few and it’s one of the best values out there, in my opinion.
I think it depends on the intended use: for coastal/harbor hopping nothing beats the simplicity of motor power. For blue water you need a sail boat unless you have a tanker following you across the wide open spaces. Watching a dozen channels with sail boats it is work intensive (adjusting/changing sails), you are wind direction dependent, slow speed , watch weather outlook for weeks ahead. But it is cheaper because the wind is free.
I really love this motor yacht and for what it’s worth, I think you should get it. Also, inflatable jacuzzi! Awesome idea! I guess if you don’t need three cabins, you could turn one of the guest cabins into a walk in closet... unless Rico sets up his DJ decks in it 😂😂. Can’t wait for the next video now 👍💙
Honestly, I liked the boat, and I liked your explanation, interesting, fun and professional style. You are a good example and an excellent example. You have a wonderful good spirit and fence. 🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦🌹🌹🌹🌹
A nice two cabin layout with a full wall in closet for Victoria or a three cabin layout. Plenty of space for a live aboard cat. Thanks for another great boat tour and review.
I like this Motor Cat. It just needs at least a 3 burner on range ...Lol❣️ I love this an I'm a sailboat kinda gal! I see this being your next boat! ✌🏻💗😊❣️
Now when you went down the steps to the owner's cabin and you opened up the 1st bit of storage it looks like if they took the shelves out they could put a washer and dryer in there and that would be a must for me
Awesome tour! I love this boat!! Your summer dress looks great on you and it was a great choice for this boat tour! Again a great boat! Rico did a great job with the camera! Keep up the awesome tours!
...was that ''just an anchor'' necklass too???? or was that a US NAVY CHIEF pin turned into a necklass ???? either way, nice touch... I knew a couple Chiefs in the US NAVY that wore a Chief and S.Chief Knecklass, one was a seniorChief... cool touch
I heard one owner of a boat with those Volvo pod drives complain about the scarcity and expense of qualified repair shops. As a former owner of two Volvo diesel cars, I experienced a problem I had not anticipated - every few months they needed a $400 repair, only with Volvo qualified service and parts each $400 repair actually cost closer to $2,000. While my knowledge of marine Volvo is very limited, and while I admire the clever engineering of their pod drives, it's still good advice to always determine the real-world service costs and availability for any marine motor drive system.
Okay now this is what I would call a true party boat - perfect for all your closest friends and family members to hang out on the best of summers. And because it's also a cat, the stability must be truly awesome owing in no small part to that really wide beam.
I don't think it's possible to say whether or not you should go for it. But...I can say that if I had the means, and it wasn't out of reach...I would. I've seen the video of your current boat - which is very nice, by the way - and now this one. I think this cat is a step up, in space, layout, etc. So, all I can say is IF you like it, IF the layout's appealing to you, and IF it's financially "comfortable", I would have to say "HELL YES." 😁
Just my 2 cents worth but the interior seems too generic, or too plain. Its missing something. Otherwise I like it. But the hostess is simply flawless.
I like the interior. Sometimes "less is more." In other words, I'd rather a simple interior than those garish ones you find on $5 million yachts. I've watched a lot of yacht videos and some of those yachts make me wonder if Liberace's relatives are yacht designers... 😂
Don’t you think it’s too expensive this boat? To me the insides look like a days inn quality. I just think it’s too much money for 40 feet. I hope Nauti doesn’t get nauti with me because I said that 😳
I enjoyed the video. It’s exciting to see you looking at boats for purchase. This seems to be a very roomy boat. Since you are already used to a 2 cabin setup, why not convert one into a gym, with the extra storage you need as well. I can understand Rico’s desire for the boat. That engine space is incredible. You could even have a DJ room instead of a gym in the 3rd cabin. You however. Isn’t 1.1M a bit much just to get a new fridge🤔😂. Is there a reason you want to stay in the 40’ range? I know they are a fair bit more expensive, but with the Silent 55 at €1.68M, you will hardly ever need fuel again, and when docked, you can even sell excess power to the marina if they are set up for it. I’m not sure if it was thee 55, the 62, or the 80, but one of them did a trans Atlantic crossing on 1,600 L of fuel, and only that much because of bad weather. I’m sure you will get what’s right for you. I’m glad it’s not me having to make the decision.
Thank you so much for watching, I would prefer if he’s DJ set up was on the flybridge so he can entertain everybody and not being closed in the bedroom🙈😜 Silent yeah it’s our interesting, not sure if you seen my tour of the 55, as much as I think that technology is amazing it is not quite there for my liking yet... But I cannot wait to see what it looks like in a couple of years. We are definitely not set on a 40, and will most likely be upgrading to something more in a 55 or 60 foot range😜🙌🏻
@@NautiStyles the beginning of any new technological shift is always an interesting time for sure. I know that there is some interesting research going on with batteries that could really make a big change. Discharge rates especially could help improve power output. We will likely be amazed in 5 or 10 years where things are. Even just in boats alone there has been quite a change in the last 10 years. Keep up the good work on the channel. I enjoy it very much.

Because I'm disabled and spend most of my time in a wheelchair I prefer Cats for the additional space through the beam and the wider gangways, we are currently looking at a Silent 60 for a possible summertime "live aboard". I find the combination of Power + Cat + Solar very attractive.
can we help you with your Sunreef purchase and build? Rico has a great working relationship with the Shipyard 😉💙
@@NautiStyles Thank you for the offer, the virus thing has us locked down a bit (I live in the UK) and we're not sure how it's going to affect our plans going forward, we can't even travel right now. But when we get back to the States we'll be in a better position and I'll get in touch.
Thanks again.
You guys did a great job of trying to show the boat without much help from the sales person. Good job on your part. My wife wasn't impressed at all with the kitchen area. Boat more for entertaining than long range and live aboard. I would love for you to tour a good power catamaran for long range/live aboard. Thanks for you time.
have you heard of ILIAD?
@@NautiStyles Thanks, I will look them up. I had never heard of one. Do you have any experience with the quality of the build and seakeeping on them?
In love with the placement of the kitchen!
Beautiful boat and host! Congrats sir.
__/)) Cheers
great points 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
I'm more of a destination oriented guy but I can understand the sailboat folks who believe the travelling between destinations part is the most fun.
all you valid points is exactly why we are heavily leaning toward a power cat;)
Beautiful boat! Hard to believe it's just 44' ... looks like 60' plus based on layout. "If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up." - Ferris Bueller
agreed!
Lol in the “please do not open the cabinets” - as you pop them all open! 🤣
I am very impressed the way you guys do the tour of those yachts, keep up the good work
Great video. You guys should buy it. Victoria killed that dress. Damn! Makes me want a different life. Good luck and God bless. Thanks for the video.
We are are also trying to decide between a power and sail Cat. We thought we decided on the Excess 12. Until I found your channel and just watched this. Back to the drawing board!!!
hahaha, did you check out this video ?th-cam.com/video/0mldRsGOu14/w-d-xo.html
@@NautiStyles I did, great job on pointing out all the pros and cons. I figured out I need two boats now. A Sail Cat for cruising the Med and the Atlantic and a Power Cat for the Bahamas. No Problem LOL!!!
It's very nice 👌 as long as it fits all of your needs list, then a few wants, then I think you should go for it. Good luck 👍👍😁
Thanks! 😊
Gorgeous Cat!! and spacious, though a little higher railing would be nice.
I love the amount of space this Power Cat provides. I much prefer the richer wood finishes and hardware on some of the other yachts though. For a live aboard I want the space but prefer the warmth and "coziness" your current yacht has.
"please do not open cabinets" Victoria proceeds to open them all in the bathroom :)
these signs do not apply to me 😝😂
@@NautiStyles lolol
I was going to say the same thing
If Victoria wants to open them, we’ll, how can anyone say no to her!!
😝😂🙌🏻 you might be onto something👌🏻. Thanks for watching as always
She's an amazing boat. Lots of light and space.
💙💙💙 glad you enjoy
NautiStyles has
Ooh future of a ujj
Great layout, I think you guys should go for it!
I like your dress... the boat is ok too! You look marvelous!
Thank you so much!
Can’t wait for the next video now 👍💙
All great ideas, thanks for watching
Honestly, I liked the boat, and I liked your explanation, interesting, fun and professional style. You are a good example and an excellent example. You have a wonderful good spirit and fence. 🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦🌹🌹🌹🌹
Thanks for watching! wow, that is very kind, glad you enjoy the tour
Omg I cannot wait again !!!!❤️
😝🤣 But you have to! 😉😜
A nice two cabin layout with a full wall in closet for Victoria or a three cabin layout. Plenty of space for a live aboard cat. Thanks for another great boat tour and review.
For a stainless steel chain those welds wont last long. Awesome video, you guys are awesome! 🇸🇪🤙🏼
Thank you!
My dream boat. Thanks for the tour! You guys are great!
I like this Motor Cat. It just needs at least a 3 burner on range ...Lol❣️
I love this an I'm a sailboat kinda gal! I see this being your next boat! ✌🏻💗😊❣️
thanks Donna, appreciate your comment
Rico, You are one lucky guy, living MY dream, getting to see all these fantastic boats with your stunning Wife. Love the Dress Victoria.
I love your channel, I enjoy all of the walk throughs
Thank you so much
Now when you went down the steps to the owner's cabin and you opened up the 1st bit of storage it looks like if they took the shelves out they could put a washer and dryer in there and that would be a must for me
I think you improved your hosting style. I like that you listen to comments and suggestions to improve yourself to the perfection.
I appreciate that! thank you, I always listen to all the feedback🙏🏻💙
Waiting patiently for your tour. See you in a bit over an hour.
See you very soon!
Awesome tour! I love this boat!! Your summer dress looks great on you and it was a great choice for this boat tour! Again a great boat! Rico did a great job with the camera! Keep up the awesome tours!
Thanks so much! lol
...was that ''just an anchor''
necklass too????
or was that a
US NAVY CHIEF pin
turned into a necklass ????
either way, nice touch...
I knew a couple Chiefs in the US NAVY
that wore a Chief and S.Chief Knecklass,
one was a seniorChief... cool touch
That is a beautiful yacht another great video
Thank you very much!
Sick beats at the start of this one.
thanks
Oh I wanted this one so bad but couldn't bring myself to backdoor you, enjoy 😎😇
She’s amazing.
well, thank you! Wait are you talking about the boat?😜😜😂
@@NautiStyles ...both? do he/we need to PICK ONLY ONE???? ;) ;) nudgenudge hhehehehhe
Great yacht. Missing for me are: 1) washer/dryer, 2) bath tub or jacuzzi, 3) solar panels.
That much money and I don’t remember even seeing a washer/dryer but a beautiful boat
yes, you would have to add one 🙈🙈
I heard one owner of a boat with those Volvo pod drives complain about the scarcity and expense of qualified repair shops. As a former owner of two Volvo diesel cars, I experienced a problem I had not anticipated - every few months they needed a $400 repair, only with Volvo qualified service and parts each $400 repair actually cost closer to $2,000. While my knowledge of marine Volvo is very limited, and while I admire the clever engineering of their pod drives, it's still good advice to always determine the real-world service costs and availability for any marine motor drive system.
good advice 👌🏻
Grinning from ear to ear already.
😝🙌🏻🤣
Catamaran is the way you should go .. you will love it!
🙌🏻🙌🏻👌🏻🙏🏻💙
Kick ass 40’er. Thanks for the video.
our pleasure! 🙌🏻🙏🏻💙
Okay now this is what I would call a true party boat - perfect for all your closest friends and family members to hang out on the best of summers. And because it's also a cat, the stability must be truly awesome owing in no small part to that really wide beam.
Could also use it as a great coastal cruiser
I can't wait 16 hours! I need now! :)
😝😝 patience my dear, patience 😝🤣
I don't think it's possible to say whether or not you should go for it. But...I can say that if I had the means, and it wasn't out of reach...I would. I've seen the video of your current boat - which is very nice, by the way - and now this one. I think this cat is a step up, in space, layout, etc. So, all I can say is IF you like it, IF the layout's appealing to you, and IF it's financially "comfortable", I would have to say "HELL YES." 😁
Well said! Big decisions🙈🙈
Just my 2 cents worth but the interior seems too generic, or too plain. Its missing something. Otherwise I like it. But the hostess is simply flawless.
thanks for watching 💙🙏🏻🙈
I like the interior. Sometimes "less is more." In other words, I'd rather a simple interior than those garish ones you find on $5 million yachts. I've watched a lot of yacht videos and some of those yachts make me wonder if Liberace's relatives are yacht designers... 😂
Yeah it's lifeless in my opinion. I'd like it if there were less white and blandness and more colors.
I agree! something missing!! Like a whole boat sorry not for my style.
Don’t you think it’s too expensive this boat? To me the insides look like a days inn quality. I just think it’s too much money for 40 feet. I hope Nauti doesn’t get nauti with me because I said that 😳
Great show you 2.I really like the power cat Pajot my 40.Well done Pajot.
Thanks a lot
@8:26 just think how many kaffees that can hold for me, already starting to like it ;) and now to finish the video
😝😝🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Exceptionally informative 👌
I enjoy it very much.
surely this is the boat to buy .... Rico loved it .....$1,550,000 2013 BERING 65 EXPLORER YACHT TOUR
