Congratulations. The best catamaran from FP. Now please provide all available surfaces such as roof, hull, mast etc. with photovoltaics, install hydro generators and wind generators together with large batteries and electric motors and the catamaran will be a showpiece. Great.
Exactly. A boat of this size with these amenities should have no creaking of floor panels. Imagine sleeping in the middle of the night and someone from the other hull suites goes walking up stairs. That’s sure to wake you. Poor attention to detail.
Could have voiced over with descriptions added or sub titles . Also would have been nice to open the closet space in the bedrooms and see more of the galley. Nice vessel though (minus the creaking stairs).
I am not convinced of the build quality of these cats, ever since Colin of Parley exposed the faults in the Lagoon 450 one has to wonder. I think they crank them out too fast. Colin also repaired a hurricane damaged Fontaine Pajot and when he too the keels off there was hardly any glue holding them on. Very suspect I thought.
At 4.40:steps are squeaking. You pay nearly $6.8 Mio. and get squeaky steps? It might be big and spacious but that to me is poor workmanship. One must not forget that a boat is on the open waters and the material is always working. Squeaking means there is air inside and that is an opportunity for humidity to get inside. And that means rotting. Not tomorrow but over time. This needs to be redone.
My bet is they are aware of it I would imagine this would make a lot of noise under moderate conditions and be unbearable in severe conditions very surprised to hear this much in ever step
Great layout for a big family and a long long journey. The quality of it though should be higher. Compared to a Sunreef it is well short of the mark in terms of finish. The smaller cheaper FP’s I’ve been on leave a lot to be desired. Great looking boats - possibly one of the best looking sailing cats but just lacking…….. I’d go the Sunreef to keep the missus happy.
Knowing nothing about advanced sailing, I wonder if drum wind generators on the deck plugged into hybrid engines would provide more efficient and less problematic long-range cruising? Just supposition, but worthy of some calculations.
So how exactly how are even much smaller cats transported overland to a large inland lake from the ocean unless a heavy lift by cargo helicopter is accomplished; which I have doubts about.
They hire a magician like Dynamo, and hes able to move the thing in seconds or minutes to its destination. You won't believe it untill you see it, its pretty amazing!
I'm not telling how tomrun your channel, but if you could actually show us what is in the forward compartments, or list it, and then the crew area, that would be awesome. Imget i. Some situations the crew area is a big no, but it didn't appear to be that way here. Just tryung to help since you don't talk in your videos we nees to see what is where
A catamaran offers significantly more usable space than a monohull. And also more safety at sea. A few years ago I built a 41" yacht myself and made the mistake of installing two 4-cylinder diesel engines. You should definitely use 6-cylinder engines because of the smooth running.
More space for the same boat length. A monohull with the same beam will have more space. Also big difference with multi deck motor yachts compared to sailing vessels. But, yeah, a catamaran will give more space and comfort for anyone who wants to enjoy the sea.
Sunreef did it, H&H did it bigger, 2Oceans did it, and Leopard almost did it...and Aquila was like 'We'll go with Leopard and go to 70, but make it power' amd of course Silent did it and now has really done it going over 100' and Sunreef was like, 'We'll do a hundred footer mate...but make it power, no sails'. Amd now Fontain Pajot has done it. 80 feet. I think this was a wrong move. Fontaine has always been that 40'-ish to 54' catamaran that was just luxurious enough, easy to handle, not a bunch of powered stuff really. Like a good forst or secomd catamaran that you could get from the 4th owner for about 325k and sail the Bahamas, BVI's, Caribbean. Maybe go to Mexico. Cruise to Annapolis or Florida to Texas. Maybe California, but a lot of stops in Mexico and South America along the way. This doesn't target their core buyers. This is like going to a different market that I think will sell, but the resale is going to be like a custom Rolls-Royce. Huge depreciation, but not enough to make it affordable and it's a second hand Fontaine Pajot. But whatever. They exist and have for A year, but we'll see
These are designed and built for the charter industry. Note that there is no version without crew quarters and separate service/eating areas. The engine, fuel and water tank sizes tell you what you need to know: this is a motor yacht that sometimes puts up the sails for guests to frame their social media photos. Charter is big money. A 45-50' cat charter is going for about $20K USD per week, plus expenses. This thing is easily $50K. They are going straight into Mooring and Dream Yacht fleets. Resale is a second thought. It does not need to be most lush ride, or even sail well. Think of it as a floating hotel. It just needs to check off the right boxes.
Plastic everywhere. And plastic, above all glossy white, is far from luxury. So far also from strongness ! Plastic under storm I dont want to pay and see. Afraid to pay and sink...

Very well done FP....
Gotta love those squeaky stairs is new 80 foot Pajot, that right there will send drove’s of buyers to your door steps 🤔

What's up with the super creaky sounding steps into the hulls? They working on fixing that?
WD-40
That wasn't the stairs. It was his knees.
No bonding to the hull of all bulkheads.....even little ones.

At 8.2 mil I would expect a new boat that does not sound like the ones in the pirates of the caribbean.
@@studentul69 Actually the whole boat looks like they cut corners.
lmao
Vraiment un très beau catamaran très grande qualité
What is going on with thoose stairs? Sounds like a haunted old house :)
Fontaine pajot nous offre là une unité particulièrement réussie ☺️👍
Awsome Video Thank you🙏😊

Is this a catamaran or an ocean liner? Geez, one can get lost on this boat. Huge!
It loots the european law for yachtbuilding to its borders. she is a pure beuty of engineering
Esto es un señor catamarán😊🎉❤
Nice catamaran power boat
Building the steps to act as a burglar alarm is a genius design and I am disappointed some of the comments don’t recognize this.
Redefinig showers. "Excuse me, where's the sauna?"; "By the squash court, after the billiard"

Millions of euros for the squeaking floors and steps and this is a brand new boat. What will happen after 5 years?
Those creaking floorboards… 🥴
Lovely tour...but you really should add commentary....would help the viewer, and add more life to the video.
that is one big carbunkle.

even all the floors are squeaky, omg this must be a prototype
that squeaking comes from moving panels, wrong fitting and bad underlaying structure that makes movement itself...
i ve heard squeaking on all the yachts i ve been on

Sunreef has bad indesign!
Tira is best tought through design on market.
Respectfully, I couldn't disagree more with your comment.
Sunreef catas are nice but heavy as hell. The sail surface / weight ratios of competitors like FP blew up Sunreef.
Knowing nothing about advanced sailing, I wonder if drum wind generators on the deck plugged into hybrid engines would provide more efficient and less problematic long-range cruising? Just supposition, but worthy of some calculations.
the body is polished, but not brought to the highest quality, because the reflection image is inconsistent
Really - I have to navigate those staris with appies! BS - Galley
That whale will never leave the bay, or the dock for that matter.

Nice well layed out design. Fit and finish is nowhere near a sunreef 80 tbh.

Euh, ce bateau dait beaucoup plus de bruit que notre vieux monocoque. J’espère qu’il durera plus que 10 ans…
Good luck trying to change an impeller in a seaway on that engine, ridiculously designed shelf over the engine
A lot of squeaky stairs and floors!
