    Alzheimers is a serious scary problem. My grand mother has it and it’s just sad to see when she doesn’t recognize most of us in the family or even where she is. I hope this research leads to some way to finally treat it properly. Thank you for the explanations. The “little factory” as well as the “security and cleaners” analogies really makes it easy to understand. I heard that eating certain greasy food can accelerate the plaque buildup in the neurons? Not sure how much is true. Forgive my lack of medical knowledge but what exactly is CBD?

    • @DoctorJack16
      @DoctorJack16  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      So sorry to hear about your grandmother. Currently, the theory is that genetics, lifestyle and environmental factors all play a role. I have not heard about greasy foods specifically but overall eating a lot of foods that are high in grease from a health perspective is not a good idea.

      CBD is Cannabidiol ... it is a lipid that the cannabis plant creates .. when we metabolize CBD , CBD modulates our cellular function via how CBD metabolizes ..

      CBD stands for cannabidiol. It is from the cannabis plant and is a health supplement that is being heavily researched for its health and wellness benefits. There's a lot to explain when it comes to CBD. I suggest checking out my CBD playlist and watch it in order to get an overall picture on the details. There's a lot to know about how to get a high quality CBD product that is safe. I hope that helps. By the way, your editing on your channel is fantastic! Tesla to the moon!

      @@DoctorJack16 is that termed oxidative cholesterol ? the high fats that oxidize easily are pro inflammation in our cells . we need fats for our cells but not the type that are unstable or hydrogenated ETC....
      the lipids in the cannabis are poly unsaturated fatty acids / Highly unsaturated fatty acids ( PUFAs/ HUFAs ) ... phytocannabinoids act as an essential in our cells, they are an essential fatty acyl ( N acyl transferases)

    So even tho research has been going on for 20+ years, why are pharmaceutical companies and FDA so far behind in getting any cure or even help with reducing these worst symptoms?

    • @DoctorJack16

      Hello. Alzheimer's is a complicated disease process. As mentioned in the video, even the cause of it is not that straight forward. If you watch any of my previous videos on gene editing and prediction of protein folding with artificial intelligence and deep learning, it is my hope that we can finally get to the bottom of such diseases and finally cure them in the next decade or so. Also check out my Gut Biome series to learn more of how the "forgotten organ" is so important in minimizing chances of neurologic diseases like this. I hope this answer helps you. Take care.

    Hi jack, how many mg and how many times a day would you think would make an effect and how long to see results ? I’m not in no way asking you to give medical advise but just curious what your opinion would be. Thank you hope you can reply

    I started CBD back in October 2020. I have been taking them ever since for anxiety. I really like the results. Does CBD have any negative side effects when taken long term? Thank you for your videos and your time!

      @mcozy333 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      when you look at studies, 600 MG CBD is the starting dose for that research !1 no joke ... our little few mg dosages are not really doing much

    • @DoctorJack16
      @DoctorJack16  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hello. The small dosages that the typical person takes has not been shown to have any long term detrimental effects. As with all things one should always weigh the risks, benefits, and alternatives. If someone’s anxiety is very debilitating or if things like Valium, Xanax, or Ativan is the only alternative then I would say that those options create a considerably higher risk for and individual. Please know that in 10,000 years of usage in society, cannabis usage has not been related to a single death. I suggest checking out my “How Safe Is CBD” video that goes in to detail. That’s why there is no therapeutic index ratio to cannabis which is a ratio based on the dosage of effect and dosage of a bad outcome. As always I have to suggest that you speak to your healthcare provider if there are concerns and state that this is not medical advice as I am not your treating physician. I hope this helps you. Thank you. Wishing you well. 🙏

      @@mcozy333 clinically I have seen these low dosages help plenty of people as long as it is ideally a Full spectrum with all of the phytonutrients the cannabis plant has to offer to maximize the entourage effects. You are correct that if it is CBD isolate then it requires much higher dosages.

      Hello and welcome! I was a little surprised too by how much the TREM2 and IL-33 proteins increased as well. we are only beginning to peel back the layers of potential of this amazing plant that is so misunderstood, politicized and stereotyped.
