      Seriously. I'm not on the "cannabis cures everything!" bandwagon, I don't even use it personally (my cats are on CBD for various issues and my roommate has chronic pain) but even I know this. A pharmacist should a) know it and b) be able to communicate it clearly.

      Beverly Tipton CBD is from the cannabis plant(aka hemp), the oil is completely safe but maybe not some additives manufacturers add to make the oil can cause liver damage. CBD in and of itself is not harmful at all, but there are different ways to ingest CBD and everyone makes the oil or any CBD product differently

      He was talking about a high amount (20mg/kg per day or higher I think). A normal droplet of liquid CBD is 1mL which if the vial is 1000mg potency total, it is 34mg per drop. This is a normal dose and depending on the person can make you relaxed and less stressed out.

    Works extremely well on me. So let’s be honest this pharmacist is on the side of the drug companies. If you look at all the drugs that he gives people at the pharmacy that pass FDA then end up on TV and lawyers are suing for the same drug they passed. With that being said is they should have extensive research but it is a direct competitor. I have been using CBD for quite some time. When you say acute liver damage we already know that the pharmacy drugs have been causing that for decades but they keep pushing it on us. If you already are on pharmaceutical drugs then you may want to consult someone. I am 53 and have never took any pharmaceutical drugs and hopefully never will. I am energetic, sleep well, and feel great. For me that is the proof and I always lean toward all natural. I also want to comment that if you have noticed their is a tremendous amount of pharmaceutical commercials on TV and I understand in most countries it is illegal to advertise pharmaceutical drugs. Which is disgusting!

    I've been taking CBD now for just a few days... I suffered from a severe case of sciatica... I got through it on my own... but I still had pain on my left side especially when standing up after sitting for awhile (even after a few minutes sometimes)... just by chance someone gave me a bottle of CBD oil and the effects were miraculous... I started to feel better almost right away... this stuff is far better than any narcotic that some doctor can prescribe!

    This is about what I thought a pharmacist would say.
    For starters, hemp is NOT marijuana. Second, playing with the doses...how many Rx has this guy dispensed over his 24 years that included drugs (with harmful side effects) where the doctor changed the size of the dosage? The quantity of times during the day to take a dose? I had been on meds several times where the doctor "played with the dosage" because he wasn't sure what the proper level was. Nobody has a problem with that!
    Hemp is one of the most versatile plants in the world. In addition to the CBD oil, the seed contains quality albeit incomplete proteins and many other nutrients. They used it in rope making, clothes, and smoked it like cigarettes. In addition, it has been used as paper (The Declaration of Independence was written on hemp, that way, if the Founding Fathers, many who were hemp growers, were caught with it by the British could smoke away the evidence) and is being tested in Europe to replace fiberglass for cars, as well as bricks for homes.
    Hemp got it's bad reputation from publisher William Randolph Hearst, who also had a heavy investment in the timber industry. With hemp being versatile and more dependable than paper and wood products, he sought to protect his investment by getting hemp classified as a narcotic and said it was the same thing as marijuana. Movies of the day like "Reefer Madness" made hemp and pot out to be worse than it really was. Hemp became illegal to use and illegal to grow.
    But, if hemp passed all the studies, the pharmacist here could be out of a job.

    Doesn’t know what he’s talking about we have an endo-cannabinoid receptor system so our body makes it the only thing causing liver damage is the chemicals they’ve added. In the liver(and all other organs) we have receptors cb1 and cb2 that need thc and cbd. As far as blood thinners the reason you bleed out is once you top up your endo-cannabinoid receptor system with phyto-cannabinoids you don’t need thinners as a matter of fact it Regulates your system so over a period of time you will end up on zero meds

    • @eyeofthetiger7
      @eyeofthetiger7 5 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      Just because your body produces something doesn't mean it can have infinite amounts of that thing. A healthy body is essentially a proper balance of chemicals. Too much or too little of good things are bad for it. You can even overdose on water and oxygen.

      Cannabis has been used for millennia and was demonized by the pharmaceutical industry because of how well it works with our natural cannabinol system. And because anyone can drop a seed in the ground.
      Israel is leading the world with amazing studies for the different uses for Cannabis.

    Interesting. My brother was in the University of Washington Hospital for 6 months waiting for a heart transplant, his kidneys had also failed His wife and I asked about CBD oil for his pain. The doctors flatly answered NO! He was on blood thinners.
    Then a friend of mine who has had a TBI and has multiple seizures daily, her doctors don't even want to discuss that route. Could have something to do with her vagus nerve stimulator.
    My neighbor is a daily smoker of homegrown pot for over 20 yrs. She has paranoia and anxiety so bad she seldom leaves the house . Again she does not use the oil, just smokes it. Sure hasn't helped her anxiety at all but she is calm while smoking:)

      Lots of people have died. “Saying marijuana…has never killed anyone is like saying tobacco has never killed anyone. Nobody dies from a tobacco overdose. You can’t smoke yourself to death. And yet nobody would dispute that tobacco causes death.…You die from lung cancer-you don’t die from smoking. You die from what smoking did to your lungs, which is a direct effect from smoking. And so in that same way marijuana does kill people in the form of mental illnesses and suicide, in the form of car crashes.…You can’t say marijuana doesn’t kill.” And there’s a list of instances & statistics on the pg. familycouncil.org/?p=11795 “Dr. Ryan Vandrey, a researcher at Johns Hopkins University who specializes in the behavioral effects of marijuana, stressed that looking only at deaths from direct overdoses is a narrow way of examining a drug’s health effects.
      ‘Too often individuals cite that individuals haven’t died from cannabis-I don’t think that’s true. It certainly can be argued that cannabis use has contributed to the deaths of individuals, such as due to impairment during driving,’ he said.” www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2016/aug/16/gary-johnson/gary-johnson-claims-marijuana-cant-kill-and-prescr/ Your pot-side record is not at all clean. The study did produce acute liver failure in mice, BUT they also administered extraordinarily high doses of CBD. The conversion rate for a 150 pound rat (human sized😉) is astronomical and would never be administered to humans. For one, it would cost hundreds perhaps thousands of dollars a dose. I recommend B&B vids every single day: this one popped up on my Home list. I love this discussion. I've tried THC gummies for sleep and CBD oil for sleep/pain. No discernible result from oil in liquid or salve prep. Gummies were GREAT! However, produced more and more residual 'wonkiness' during the day. At day 5 I didn't feel comfortable driving. Sleep was great, however. I'm back to 25 mg benadryl. Since I'm 75 and have had hepatitis, it's possible age combined with some liver 'issues' produced the unusual effects. I'm not willing to take a chance. The discussion of 'strength' variations in tests was interesting. I was reluctant to even try this stuff without knowledge of manufacturer. Until Federal law changes, I don't think it will be possible to standardize these substances. (Calif resident, btw)

    For me, I started taking cbd in vape form in 2017, my first experience was that it seriously reduced my anxiety. Since then, I've taken it on and off and use drops now. What I have noticed in the last year or so (which is why I'm here watching this) is that if I have regular CBD for a few days or a week, in a week or so later after not having it, I seem to have sever anxiety that in some ways feels worse than I used to have, almost like a different form of anxiety I haven't had before. My concern is if there's actually negative effects from cbd and potential harm

    I have used both opioids and fentanyl patches for 21+ years for severe pain. All my blood tests are excellent. My mother was dead at 52 of stomach cancer. I am 66. You don’t want us using opioids in spite of the fact that they work. My husband uses CBD 50 mg gummies for his back pain because he doesn’t want to take opioids and it helps to relax his back and helps some of his pain. Anyone with a brain knows you start at a low does and work up as needed. Same as with any prescription. Livers can be repaired. Most people in pain will tell you that Medical Marijuana does not actually help pain. It helps nausea and relaxation not pain. Marinol gives you a buzz worse than pot.

    • @kelly-bo-belly
      @kelly-bo-belly 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Medical mj does help with pain. You just have to find the one that helps you. There are different strains which do different things. How many strains of medical marijuana have you tried? I have known others to completely quit max dose opioids for pain using MMJ alone. You may not be able to cold turkey quit, but you can quit or greatly reduce the opioids.

    • @alaskansourdoughwormsgarde4392
      @alaskansourdoughwormsgarde4392 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kelly Bo Belly I am on a contract and cannot use MJ. I know many people here in Alaska and some shops are owned by MD’s. All MJ gets you high. Opioids when taken correctly don’t. CBD does not. I drive and function by taking meds correctly. Everyone in pain needs to find what works for them. After 21 years on meds I am content cutting my pain, without the buzz. I will always have pain. It’s too bad the doctors who are talking here don’t respond to what we say. If you are in pain and use I am happy that it works for you. Truly. Secondly to all of this, insurance pays for legit meds. The CBD for hubby is eating up any extra money we have.

      @kelly-bo-belly 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Quite understandable on all fronts. I hate that it isnt an option open to you at all. It isnt cheap, but it is indeed very helpful for a tremendous range of medical conditions. What is most important is that you have a way to cope through the burdens of your chronic pain. I empathize and wanted to share personal experience to help if that was possible. It's worth mentioning that not all medical mj options cause a high. Topical ointments for pain don't, but they DO show up on a drug screening. Still not an option for you, unfortunately. I hate that the information I am sharing can't help you.

    Had sciatica a month now tho the 3rd time. Went to chiropractor in 2 consecutive days. Best thing he did was applied CBD cream to the L34and 5 region and an eyedropper about half full by mouth. I had been taking up to 20 ibuprofen and 8 carisoprodol a day to little notice in reduction of pain, but the cbd stuff worked amazingly within the hour and lasted about 4 hours. I'm banking on the creme when I can afford it. Tried CBD loose flower to smoke but felt no change in pain. Great series. Thanks for the great tips and clear instructions!

The only drawback I experienced was that my short-term memory regularly had minor problems. That was the reason I quit smoking weed. Just quit overnight and never had withdrawal symptoms. Now I started a few weeks ago with CBD oil from a solid brand for back pain. It helps a little bit against pain. But no matter how little I take, I don't sleep well and am pretty drowsy during the day.

Little nervous to take because of the information on interaction with the liver & blood thinners on bleeding out. Going to contact Cardiologist as well. CBD is a supplement, not a drug. Using the word “dose” is inappropriate and misleading. Like all supplements, it affects each person differently - the amount taken, frequency and delivery method is individual. Find a reputable CBD company that has purity standards, lab testing and extensive information on the container. This video is a horribly narrow representation of CBD. That being said, thank you for starting the conversation on your channel. 😀

    The real problem is lack of regulation, but when that happens, the cost goes way up. Without quality inspection, however, you can never really know what you're getting -- even proportions can be scewed. We have many "reputable" companies that sell vitamins, and they rarely pass random inspection testing. You wind up having to make your own cbd with marijuana that you grow yourself.

      When *hundreds of millions* of people take a vaccine and only a few hundred cases of thrombosis are possibly linked to that you can be certain that the vaccine is fantastically safe regarding the risk of thrombosis. But if you don’t get the shot and you get infected with the virus, that will actually have a statistically relevant risk of thrombosis. Same is true for all other possible side effects. If we’d monitored people taking CBD oil as drastically as we monitor those who had a vaccine we would discover plenty of such links. In fact i’d bet that the vaccine taken in two jabs would be slightly safer then CBD taken in moderate doses for a couple of weeks. Give CBD to *hundreds of millions* of people and monitor them and you’re bound to see people with cerebral strokes, arrhythmia, liver inflammation, constipation, vertigo, etc.

      Hi Jim. I can't personally comment on what you've mentioned however I can say that I've only had positive benefits with one brand, after trying so many and having few benefits (or none at all). I highly recommend giving them a go. They are a reputable brand, with everything in check and their 30ml bottles are 1000mg CBD oil. Check out impact.impactvip.com

    This pharmacist sounds like a wise practitioner. He favors caution over emotional trends. CBD oil, and marijuana, is the Wild West without consistency in purity of the product not to mention the lack of study for long term effects.

    There seems to be a major difference between Canada & USA in the MG doses. I use 10 mg capsules
