Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2005, started medical cannabis in 2010 and have been symptom free since. I grow my own all natural, organic, probiotic grown cannabis. I eat it, I vape it, I apply it topically. I get it into me anyway I can. It has also saved me from a sever opiate addiction. Cannabis saved my life.

@@CrisusAttucks Are you suggesting that cannabis was the cause for her schizophrenia? And what do you mean discharge her off service of what? Wasn't Tysabri taken off the market by the manufacturer in 2019, due to reports of a rare but serious brain infection Progressive Multifocal Leukoencephalopathy (PML)? Could that have something to do with the onset of schizophrenia? I'm always a little skeptical of people who sub to FOX, OAN, Newsmax and The Rubin Report. I never smoked marijuana or had any form of it in my adult life and at age 55 , my Mother died of cancer in 2013 . Marijuana was the only herbal medicine that helped me through many difficult days. I used it at bedtime to help me relax and I worked full time as a nurse in the daytime with no side effects. I was calm at home and able to grieve without making me sick or crying constantly.

Over a six month period I dropped a 65lbs and not by trying. Being rushed to the hospital three different times because I’d collapse due to lack of nutrition and being so badly dehydrated. Every test you could think of for a man in his 50’s. They found nothing. Actually my heart, blood pressure and bloodwork are immaculate. When I was not smoking cannabis I had high blood pressure. Found it extremely difficult to lose weight. I was always told my blood pressure was so bad I was looking at a stroke or heart attack. I think I’ll just stick to the natural plant. Be glad you don't get the paranoia. My first 5 or 6 times were amazing...just phenomenal with absolutely no paranoia. I had never heard of weed causing paranoia at that time. But then unexpectedly after smoking a joint I thought I was having a heart attack and had all the typical paranoia reactions that everyone has heard of...and that was just some Mexican brick weed back in 2001. Ever since then I get a different high from weed. Unless I am smoking a ton of weed all the time where my tolerance is high, I've always had an unusually low tolerance for weed since then as well. Even if I take an extremely small single hit, and blow it out immediately, I will still get full fledged paranoia at times.

@Noah Wolf I believe I probably have something like ADHD or autism, but definitely not the hyperactive kind. I've always had attention problems since a young child and I still have them to this day, and it continues to negatively effect my life at age 36. I have a hard time adapting to new situations where I am forced to make things work in a new situation, I always forget something critical. I also have always had problems getting things backwards or mixed up with verbal instructions, if it's not fairly simple. In school I absolutely struggled with Math but I was decent at most other things not related to Math.
All that said, I don't know if I want to get properly diagnosed or try medication. I went through a brief phase in my younger life where I was doing crystal meth here and there (I know, very stupid) and I had a *_really_* bad reaction to it in one particular instance where I thought I was having a stroke/heart attack, felt like I was about to die any second. When I came out of it, felt like it caused some brain damage as well, but the hazy/cloudy brain fog I had for about a year afterward has thankfully passed. After that I can barely drink coffee or use any form of caffeine without getting a weird reaction to it that I never used to get. I don't even want to think about what other stimulant drugs would do. But weed has always given me paranoid reactions long before I was doing meth, and afterward nothing changed at all.

I've never had a cardiac episode nor do I know anyone that has experienced one related to pot. I had a good career as an RN for 27 years. That's where I got all my hemostats from. I use a pulse oximeter occasionally when I smoke. I've never had a drop or increase in heart rate, and my O2 levels never change. I also grow my own, so I know it's not adulterated. Happy trails.

It is an exasserbant meaning it just exaggerates what already is. So if you are already super anxious you could smoke and then make it 10× worse but you can also use it to supress the anxiety. It's mental and that part always gets left out. 65, been smoking since 16-17. Where I live now is like romancing the devil. So, I travel and get what I need for a few months at a time. The south is really anti marijuana, but alcohol is everywhere, simply immaturity on our legislators and fear from the boggy man in our religious leaders who now run the south. God bless all who don’t enjoy the great benefits.
I suffer from chronic pain and anxiety after loosing my husband and toddler to a drunk deacon, marijuana keeps me healthy painless and aware of my surroundings. Opioids were prescribed, but as soon as I left the hospital and long therapy I took myself of the chems!

Because I'm trying to escape anxiety - I don't tend to panic myself with prescription medication small print. I trust it to either be obvious or for the warning to be explicit. Nobody told me about grapefruit (which, JustMe, I think actually blocks the liver's ability to convert excess drug into something that can be excreted... I think, this means, grapefruit means there's much more of the active compound in our blood stream) and I found out the hard way. Now, I avoid anything acidic around the time of my medication (SSRI and hypertension). Even a tomato seems to bring the meds back up (in the most dramatic fashion possible).
I was not aware, however, that cannabis behaves like grapefruit. I have a lot to think about.

I do not CARE what the physical effects of weed are at all. I'm 60 and have been medicating myself for 45 of those. I'm a highly educated retired environmental professional who had a stellar career, ALL due to marijuana. As an abused infant and child my will and spirit were completely broken by the age of 8, and by 11 I had a pistol to my little head. I remember exactly where I was in 1975 when I first tried it, and it was life-changing. I seldom use it for "fun", it has ALWAYS been, long before the first dispensary, medicine for me, serious, life-saving medicine. I accomplished things in my career that will never be done again. I've stood in the face of militant youth, abusive cops, and violent bikers looking to do harm, I've juggled multimillion dollar projects on 2 continents, raised a family, and tried to stay benevolent and connected, ALL because of marijuana. I'm alive and my kids are here because of weed, I WILL NEVER regret using it as Creator always intended. It is literally a life saver for me and millions of CPTSD and PTSD sufferers. Where the myriad of big pharma meds failed, especially after I was shot during Katrina rescue, weed again came to my rescue. It is my friend and my savior to this point and to hell with ANYone who derides it solely out of their own stupidity and ignorance.

People Fuck their lives up doing what they luv most. From Sport to wingsuit flying sky diving Scuba diving, street racing you name it. How can people Place burden on People that eat too much and are obese when others take risks most probably in their own lives just for the thrill? Happiness and comfort are or can be opposition to one another. You may be smoking a joint or eating high sugar or Fatty foods right now. You are comforted, but you really know that if you were fitter and maybe a few years younger, there would be things that would really rather be doing that would really make you happy, things you used to do? But we just settle for comfort. This is the same as security and freedom. We give up our freedoms to make us feel more safer comfortable. But if only we truly knew the Happiness life could bring if we were to lose the fear of losing those things that make us feel safer more secure more comfortable? The only thing that stands between the two is "Regret". Live life how you desire NOT how others desire of you.

OTC painkillers did nothing for me. I tried a dose of hydromorphone. Nothing. I could try taking more, but after the scare talk, I ruled that out. In desperation I tried vaping cannabis, and it probably saved my life. It got me through the worst of the pain and associated misery, allowed me to sleep, and the only side effects were a fresh appreciation of music and humor, and an occasional craving for sour cream and bacon chips. Over two years later and still not fully recovered, but cannabis is still a daily part of my life, mostly right before bed. I break up the buds on a cookie sheet, place in preheated 225 deg. oven for 10 minutes or so. I remove the cookie sheet cool, then grind in a spice grinder. I place a measured 1/4 level teaspoon or less on a tablespoon with peanut butter and eat it. In about an hour the first effects occur, then in two to three hours the full effect comes on. If I’m moving around it’s one thing, if I’m sitting or laying it’s much more powerful. I do this every night for sleep and it is highly effective. I wake up feeling rested and good. It definitely increase blood pressure but in the morning when I check my BP, it is typically 120 ish over 68 or 70. I just turned 70 on this Christmas Day. Here is where it gets interesting, I have regular comprehensive blood work and my blood work is excellent as evaluated by my Nephrologist. So from there I don’t know but I have no chest pains or unusual heart rhythm. I do not smoke it and use it as described, only about an hour before I go to bed.

My daily life has improved! Went from 23 hrs a day on my back to being able to drive again and limited walking with rollator. I could not set up in a chair for more than 5-10 minutes, now no problems for 5-6 hours. Occasionally take a Tylenol but that’s it. Retirement is improving!😃

Yes - this lecture was alarmist. If you have heart disease, do not consume cannabis in any manner. If not, the risk is very low. In this lecture Dr. Oh starts by showing single case reports, one after the other, without relevance to the general population, then goes on later and quickly and parenthetically states that for most people there is little risk. But he had already scared the daylights out of his audience. That was seemingly the purpose. Also - There is little to no clinical data on CBD interactions with liver enzymes and commonly prescribed medications - alarmism without data. The historic track record on cannabis has been rife with misleading statements and outright lies by institutional authorities, which led more than one generation to ignore professional advice, and believe that lies were told about other drugs. It is important to get it right.

I am 62 and I have smoked weed since 1969. My doctor says I have clear lungs a very healthy heart like that of a 20 year old. I don’t do any other drugs . I don’t take pain pills even after being in a accident involving a crane in which I fell 92 feet and cracked my neck in 3 places broke my chest bone and shattered my ankle. I was not smoking due I couldn’t due to my job but one month after my accident I started smoking again to relieve the pain did a very good job at it and I still smoked this day to control the pain but I have never had any incidents until I vaped a couple of years ago and my heart rate went sky high .After that I never vaped again .I stick to just smoking to relieve myself of pain.Thank god for marijuana.

Dr. Oh is a great lecturer. He manages to talk about a lot of touchy subjects in a neutral way, so he comes across as reassuring rather than alarming. Great information on the cardiac side of things. He doesn't say this, but what I got from the lecture is that If you have any kind of heart disease, stay away from cannabis.

In 2021, I went to Colorado to visit some family but stayed at a hotel my first night in town. Instead of waiting until I met up with family and had them instruct me on proper cannabis use, I decided to go directly to a dispensery and try some in my hotel room. I vaped fresh flower in a handheld vaporizer. I had smoked Cannabis when I was 14 but of course was ignorant of anything about it. I took 2 or 3 small hits from a tiny, miniscule amount of green leaves in a dry herb vaporizer. Then, sat down to have some dinner in my room. 30min later it hit me like a ton of bricks and I almost blacked out, lol. I layed down on the bed and didn't get up until the morning. Later, I learned the cannabis I bought was 30%!!! The amount I inhaled would have been around 40-50mg of THC, and I had no tolerance at all. A normal dose for first time user should have been about 5-10mg. Needless to say it was a very unpleasant experience and I didnt use cannabis again for several weeks even though I had full availability to it in Colorado. It's really important to talk with someone or do online research to understand the proper dosages. I thought I was starting with a tiny amount and didnt realize how potent it was. Since then I've experimented a lot and found the strains and dosage levels that work best for me. I prefer straight Sativa using a Live Resin vape. The Sativa doesnt affect my short term memory as much and the Live Resin extraction process makes the end product taste terrific instead of some weird chemical taste. Edibles take too long to activate and the affects are harder to control since the level of highness can be hampered or helped by the food in your gut. With vaping you feel the effects within 20min and if they begin wearing off you can just do one more hit to keep the buzz going. You have full control of when you want to get off the train. With edibles you're on that rollercoaster until the very end whether you like it or not. And if the high isnt as intense as you wanted you cant eat anymore because you might accidentally take too much and only find out 2hrs later when it hits hard.

I can count on 1 hand the times I've gone 12+hours without smoking since 16. I own a business, work outside everyday, workout every day afterbwork, fish and scuba dive and occasionally free dive...snowboard when I get to the Westcoast... I'm 34 and have 9-11 percent body fat, six pack year round and can run a mile in less than 6 minutes.
