I'm nearing 69 years of age, & took the dementia screening test a few months ago. I was one point away from getting a prescription for Donepezil, & they told me to come back in a year... Pot was legalized for recreational use in my State a couple of months ago, though I've been using it often illicitly for a half-century. I wouldn't say it's improved my memory or even slowed dementia from getting worse, but it sure does reduce anxiety & make me feel very good.
My father is 78 and has roughly 203.5 issues where Cannabis would help. If it even assists to prevent more damage: How can I convince him to take what society has told him is so harmful?! He sees me smoking since 25 years and is still scared, even if it is legal and medicine and so on...
Tell him CBD is just an extraction from the plant just like opiods are extracted from poppy, passion flower, etc. - if he takes pain killers hopefully he'll understand that - most pharma drugs are formulated with a base that has first existed in nature... the scientists then add their chemicals after :P. You can also tell him that natural based drugs without pharma ingredients are actually better for the body and will not produce side effects like pharma drugs do, READ HIM THE SIDE EFFECTS on his existing medication to nail it home. Hopefully he'll understand all this too!
Where can I find more info on CBD use for patients with Lewy Body Dementia symptoms, including pain management. I'm 24/7caregiver for my Dad who is 96yrs old with severe LBD. On top of the other symptoms, including extreme hallucinations (his hands or his floor on fire, etc.), agitation, disruptive sleep patterns, he's now experiencing a lot of pain. His doctor has prescribed a liquid acetaminophen (he has issues swallowing), but I'm hoping to find some information on the use of CBD oil to help him with these issues, especially the pain. I'd like to be able to keep him at home if at all possible (we have hospice waiting in the wings) but, I'm worried I may not be able to help him manage all of his symptoms.Thank you.

Quit sugar, flour and vegetable and seed oils. All processed foods. Decrease you blood sugars.....
