Pretty sure they’re doing the same thing as writing on the wall where they have little stands the camera can lock into. They set every up to line up from those points and then camera man transitions between all those points. It still takes a lot of skill to smoothly go from point to point, but he’s not all on his own.
They have! Google, Chevy, State Farm, Honda, and more have all created some crazy fun pieces with them.. whereas Berocca and Apple shamelessly copped their style, and suffered. Can't beat the real thing.

The Loaf I would imagine that they'd just lock the rig into place, the camera operator would just stand outside and wait for it come back around the full rotation to continue the shoot.
Sean McCullough Actually in the behind the scenes the cameraman was wearing a steady cam, and he stepped onto some technodolly looking platform thingy so the room spun around him, which means the footage was then rotated to look like the room was still after the fact. This commercial has a lot of digital elements to it: which i think is really awesome.
+ren1nana2 Actually if you watch closely in the BTS video you'll see that the rig the cameraman is using is actually rotating the camera as the room rotates, so the relative angle between the room and camera doesn't change. There's no digital manipulation being done, just a very clever camera rig.

That feels way too polished but it’s still super impressive. All the little imperfections and almosts in The Writing’s On The Wall were what made it so cool and showed that “hey, this was all one take and there’s no way this is CGI”
This is the type of commercial many super bowl commercials should look up to. So many super bowl commercial now are terrible. Doritos and Heineken are usually good. And a few other hits here and there. But most are awful. This commercial by ok go was amazing!
Fantastic video as always. One thing though is that the music felt a bit crowded to the listener, almost over stimulating to a degree. But the actual video and visual techniques were stunning, they've really got a grip on their perspective visuals. Wouldn't it be great to see more advertising in future that had this level of entertainment value, aesthetic and audio appeal, and just over all effort in it?
