- Hi everyone, today I'm sharing with you a my day at home sketching a set of Easter ornaments and then the cherry blossoms outside my kitchen window. Please watch the video until the end for my full process composing this sketchbook page using pen and watercolors.
🎨 Materials I used:
- Sailor's fude fountain pen
- Noodler's Brown 41 Ink (to fill the fountain pen)
- Mungyo watercolors
- Etchr Mix-Media A4 size Landscape Sketchbook
- Holbein Water Brush (large tip)
- Holbein water brush (medium tip)

Happy Easter Becky, Dudu and family!! Thank you for another beautiful and helpful video! I have a 2 1/2 year old cat (Oscar) and a 6 year old English Shepherd (Emmett). My office with computer and art desks is in a room that has windows on 3 sides. Oscar has a cat tower there and the window ledges are wide enough that he can sit in all. He and Emmett keep an eye on birds, squirrels, deer and sometimes fox, bear, wild turkeys … I always say that they are tuned in to the bird and squirrel channel! Oh ... love the new haircut!!

Hi Becky, what’s the best sketchbook size for beginner intermediate level?
I think a medium size sketchbook, size 5 inches by 8.25 inches (about the size of a regular book/novel), is the best size for beginners/intermediates.
Always wanted to know what is first, watercolor or ink
If you watched the beginning of the video, I ink first. :) Sorry if I misunderstood your question.
Why do use watercolour not Gouache? With Gouache u don't have to save white
Thanks for your comment. I've tried gouache but didn't like the thick pastel quality of the paint. Over the years I've tried many mediums, but watercolors is just my favorite. Thank you for your suggestions.
