- Hi everyone, today I'm sharing with you my afternoon at Olympic Village in Vancouver. In the beginning, I sketched a busker and the urban landscape around him. Then I moved on to a nearby cafe to sketch the view outside the window, and captured some people. Please watch the video until the end to learn lots of ink and watercolor inspirations and techniques to sketch and paint a complicated cityscape, and how to sketch people. 😊🎨

- Etchr watercolors (24 half pans)

- Holbein Water Brush (large tip)

That giant bird in the thumbnail pic had really confused me!! I didnt realize it was a statue. So couldnt figure out why the bird was larger than the people in the foreground.

The colour choices you made are very good in this urban sketches. The scenery in reality isn't very interesting in colours, more of a dull brown and grey mixture. But the sketches are lively and meaningful.

Vancouver architecture is so.... urban.... So busy... No rest for the eyes. Just concrete and steel and glass... Maybe because there are no green leaves anywhere
It is nicer when the leaves are out, but it is still to early for that to have happened. Blue skies also cheer the city up somewhat.
