Thanks for this awesome series. I note that the 2nd part of this series has been marked as 'made for kids' so you can't comment on it OR save it to a playlist. I can only save parts 1 and 3.
I have always wanted to make a blue jean quilt!💙 My grandmother had the huge square frame that she had up in the ceiling and lowered it down to work on a quilt. I played under the quilt and had great memories of her and my great aunt quilting. Thank you for showing me a way to make a blue jean quilt that is easy for my skill level. I'm a new subscriber 👍Thank you! Tara from Texas
I have several quilts i am wishing to make for Christmas out of loved ones clothes, and have been so apprehensive about using the jeans. Thank you for making this series, and using "regular" tools and language for getting it done. Not everyone has the ability to use actual quilting machines. So thank you for making me feel better about these projects I am about to start. ❤
I liked the quilting series and I will definetly try and make one. But I haven't found the tutorial for adding binding as you should have done for your dog's one. Thank for sharing with us. Greetings from Italy☺️ 😊😊😊
Thanks for the tutorial! I had seen others do binding strips they cut and sew together and I have a quilt my grandmother made me that use this method. Sadly, I can’t ask grandma how she did that because she’s no longer with us. So I was searching for someone to teach me how to do it like the ones she use to make and I found you! 🎉
Thank you so very much for this very clear tutorial. My first quilt I cut binding strips and then sewed them on. It was time consuming, especially for a queen size quilt. Now I'm finishing my second quilt, which is king size. I'm using the method in your tutorial for the binding. It's a MUCH easier method, and saving a LOT of time! Thank you!
I really like how you tied off the dog bed as apposed to the yarn. You also mentioned that your husband has a tutorial on how to make quilting frames. Is it possible to get the link or instructions for this, please. I'm really new at all of this, I haven't quilted in over 43 years. My mom passed away and left my sister and I all of her quilting supplies and sewing machines. I promised I would continue with her projects.
Hello, and thanks for reaching out. It so happens that my husband is now finalizing the frame plans and will hopefully have a video out soon. I think it's wonderful that you are going to continue you mothers projects.
Hi Jan, many years ago I took a lap quilt class but never completed. I’ve had it stashed away and would love to try finishing it. It’s 9 patch quilt finished except for binding. All pieces are sandwiched together at this point. Please suggest how I should finish edges. Thank you!!

Thank you so much! Can you buy those tags that are printed on ribbon?
I don't sell them. I make my own. It's really easy to do. Here is the link to learn how. th-cam.com/video/bn2GxH3--QA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=TjdshDegFNDJ7PCo

What type of beginner to intermediate machine would bind backs to quilts nicely?
I would go to a sewing machine store and talk to the workers there. You can try them out. Most machines will be able to handle that kind of a job.
Gorgeous quilt, can you share your source for the orange flannel please 🫶🏻
I'm not exactly sure here I purachased the flannel, sorry.
Hi, how long does it take to make a denim quilt please?

Why do you wool to tie in centre ? Is there another way as I don’t like the knot look in centre and corners
.
I saw the first part of cutting he squares and putting the bending on. I missed the tying part.
You can find the video here.

Why do you use wool to tie a knot in centre and corners ? I don’t like how that looks, what’s the reasoning for the knot?
I just used regurlar yarn, nothing fancy. The reason for the knot is so it doesn't come unsewn. You can use other methods of tying if you'd like.
Can you use buttons , can you leave it plain? @@JanHowell
I can't find the first one

Do you have to tie your quilt?
Yes, otherwise it will get all wadded up in a pile when washing.
