Now THIS is true cinema. Thank you so much for this video. Floch Forster RIP you absolute mad lad. The last true patriot. A man who gave his life for his country so his nation might live on!
The only one who can save the Eldian Empire is you, Eren Jaeger. If Eren dies, Paradis will drown in a sea of blood. Our Devil... He is... our only hope. Floch Forster's words held truth and weight and it was a cruel truth that nobody wanted to hear or see. He narrowly avoided what should've been unavoidable death on several occasions all to defended his country, the island he was born and raised on with unwavering determination. Even when confronting his comrades, his enemies and overthrowing a corrupt and vulnerable government he stated the truth and nothing but the truth. He exclaims that he was nothing but fodder and that he was completely expendable which may have been the only time he was wrong because he was the last line of defense for Eren. He goes onto say that everyone has a right to decide if a cause is worth dying for and he fought and died for a cause he believed in. He was a hero right up to the moment he drew his final breath, and in the end when the world came crashing down on Paradis in retaliation, when those B2 spirit stealth bombers leveled the island to oblivion, Floch Forster was right. He was right.
There never was a good or bad ending. The whole premise of the show was always the grey. The Yeagerist are just a sacrifice to show us the moral ignorance we share as a species where we kill, mane, torture all in the name of justice freedom and righteousness when in reality, we all are just as fucking a shit hole as our enemies. The show ends with the fact that Erens genocide being stopped by the very people he loved and fought for brings forth a sense of impending unity in the mists of absolute destruction.
@@meritocratikThe boy ramzi stole because his family was poor, they were literally war refugees. Even eren Said They were in the same situation as eldians but you’re just biased. Floch is not a king for supporting genocide, and he never will. Cry about it.
@@subhankarray3657 I'd basically agree with this statement but one thing sticks out to me. The story's ending is based on perspective which happens because as you said the premise of the show is morally grey. The remaining 20% of the world's population didn't just retaliate and genocide Paradis Island out of revenge but also out of self proclaimed necessity, like a form of self defense. Which is the same reason behind why Eren and the Yeagerists condoned their actions with the Rumbling. If you look at the bombing of Paradis from a Marleyian standpoint it's viewed as a good thing but the Rumbling is a bad thing and vice versa with the Eldians on Paradis. And of course if you want to look at it from a more realistic perspective the United States bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki as self proclaimed necessity in order to end a devastating world wide conflict whereas Japan viewed it as the absolute worst that could happen. Attack on titan is a bad ending if you're Eldian but it's a good ending if you're not Eldian.
"Pirates are evil? The Marines are righteous? These terms have always changed throughout the course of history! Kids who have never seen peace and kids who have never seen war have different values! Those who stand at the top determine what's wrong and what's right! This very place is neutral ground! Justice will prevail, you say? But of course it will! Whoever wins this war becomes justice!” ― Donquixote Doflamingo During the Paramount War in One Piece by Echiro Oda. As a result of the scouts betrayal and their subsequent actions to stop the rumbling we see in the distant future that paradis is destroyed therefore there is nobody left to remember the honored fallen who died to save the walls from the titans it's those brave soldiers who are the true heroes of paradis I personally believe their will died with Floch the last champion of paradis.
Floch is such an interesting character. He's someone I barely even remembered at first, but ended up being such a complex character - so broken yet so determined and unrelenting in his principles. I never would want to meet someone like him in real life, but as a fictional person, he's extremely compelling. Anyway thanks for your amazing videos, Zurik! I've just watched the Hange one and I was pleasantly surprised when this one popped on my notifs.
Nah he'd be pretty great in real life as a friend. It's simply the situation he was under in the story until the Erwin charge he was just a person and a soldier for his country . It's like saying you wouldn't want to meet a soldier because they killed people fighting for freedom or not . I like floch
He wasn’t a natural like Erwin, but he rose to the occasion and became a leader. In the face of death, he understood the meaning of his life. One of those characters that might be under appreciated bc of he was going against our beloved main characters (except Eren). Personally, I liked him but felt like he wouldn’t make it too far.
I love the way you compiled all these scene to show whats on Floch's mind all this time. He's the only one who carried the will of their fallen comrades. He's the real hero of Paradis
Dude, I'm in tears ngl. My boy fought to the very end for his country and his people. He was deeply damaged by trauma and his ways weren't the best, and yet he was more logical and understanding (not to mention loyal) than most of the main characters. Floch is without a doubt one of my favorite characters in Attack on Titan. He's great. He has no relatives for whom he could fight, he did not have time to leave offspring, but he still continued to move forward. He continued to fight until the very end and gave his life for his homeland. Isn't that admirable? People who hate Floch are just very stVpid and misеrablе creatures who would betray their homeland at the first opportunity.

She didn't even have her own plan what to do after, which she btw admitts too by saying she is powerless and "not showing any future to Eren". After that, she went to kill herself to make a cool exit thus leaving problems up to Armin and giving up. As I count it correctly, in the manga she manages to kill 4 marching titans, which in my opinion has no effect of getting some time to take off.
Floch has become my favorite character after season 4. I thought it was strange how he went from a wimpering coward back in season 3 to a total freaking badass alluva sudden, but seeing this now, I realize he's one of the most fleshed out characters in the shortest amount of time in the show. He took over the Military because that was the desire of the majority of people of Eldia, the same as Erens the Scouts, Erwin, Eren and all those people didn't suffer and die to just lay down and die after they figured out that people wanted them dead. What kind of coward accepts that? Fucking traitors this story makes me so mad cuz it has the worst ending in the manga, I hope to God that the anime has the good ending where their deaths arent in vain like this.
MY GOD! I had high hopes for this edit and oh boy, did you deliver! Floch's methods might have been dead wrong but his intentions were so right. Amazing edit! The part with Floch's charge and Erwin's speech overlapping was top notch. Goosebumps. P.S I love how the manga ending doubles down on the fact that Floch was indeed right about the world.
Imagine the people of Paradis living in a deserted world at their disposal. Endless lands, endless resources. They would have been safe and would have thrived. No more wars. Beautiful

It's not ideology, Armin even admitted he dont know wtf he's doing for 3/4 of ss4. At the end he just want a moral high ground
@@SandyCheeks1896 I think your forgetting that in this case that 'everyone' is nothing but enemies and people who hate your entire race. It is a fact that the only choices were to kill everyone outside the walls or let everyone in them die. I don't think Armin and Mikasa were in reason because by choosing to stop Eren they put all of their people at risk with just the hope that the people they save wouldn't try to kill them again, which they did. And the part I liked the least is that they killed their own comrades to do it. Their comrades begged them to surrender and just not interfere but they still killed them because they were in their way.

Rip King Floch! I will always remember you as the hero of Paradis Island.
Floch is a good example of the effects of witnessing pure horror can do to someones brain and change them. Even if you want to argue that floch was always the same from s3, you can't say that being the only survivor of that suicide charge didn't play a major role.
Floch development only appreciated by those who understand.
RIP Floch, the True Successor of Erwin and the Last Devil of Paradise. He Dedicated His Heart and gave his life for Eldia. He grew from being a scared kid to the Fallen Hero of Eldia.
Also, I was rewatching the episode where Floch, Louise and them were arrested for leaking the info about Eren, and Floch said something along the lines of; “If it’s for the sake of humanity, so be it.” And I realized that he sounded exactly like Erwin right there, that could have easily come out of Erwin’s mouth when he was detained by the Military Police in season 3
Now THIS is true cinema. Thank you so much for this video. Floch Forster RIP you absolute mad lad. The last true patriot. A man who gave his life for his country so his nation might live on!
Thank you! ❤
Holyf the parallel between floch and erwin is insane
Thank you! ❤
Yeah, the speech directly parallels to what he did: th-cam.com/video/1Eau_HWvQFM/w-d-xo.html
I swear the anime better have the good ending because the ending in the manga is fucking tragic. The yagerist are the good guys.
Whoever wins this war becomes justice!”
― Donquixote Doflamingo During the Paramount War in One Piece by Echiro Oda.
Floch Forster a name I will never forget arguably the most selfless person in the AOT all he wanted was peace in Eldia 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you so much! ❤
Lol real life 😂😂
Nah he'd be pretty great in real life as a friend. It's simply the situation he was under in the story until the Erwin charge he was just a person and a soldier for his country .

Dude, I'm in tears ngl. My boy fought to the very end for his country and his people. He was deeply damaged by trauma and his ways weren't the best, and yet he was more logical and understanding (not to mention loyal) than most of the main characters. It really makes me sad that even today there are people who still don't get the importance of Floch to the story and how a GREATLY written character he is.

No matter if they stop the rumbling, the ones left alive will hate the Eldians forever for what has happened and will 100% start a war again. It's just pushing the problems towards the future, while Flochs plan would murder many innocents yes, but in turn his people would thrive and not face war again.

I am more surprised about Hange - her death was sad, but she admitted Floch is right, while still carrying on her plan of stopping Eren just because genocide is bad. She didn't even have her own plan what to do after, which she btw admitts too by saying she is powerless and "not showing any future to Eren". After that, she went to kill herself to make a cool exit thus leaving problems up to Armin and giving up.
Goosebumps.
