I read the manga a long time ago… seeing all those scenes in the anime stirs up so many emotions. So nostalgic. And so tragic at the same time. It feels like I've lived through their story all along. Hats off to Hajime Isayama for such a captivating and mind blowing story telling and character writing. This made me tear up.
Ive been with these characters for 10 years and was obsessed with aot a big chunk of that. I didn't watch beyond season 1 since now, because i was so frustrated that it took so long to continue. Man. Talk I’m telling you no matter how many times I see this for some reason I just break down the look on wrens face accepting his death. Milkasa breaking down and just wanting to go back in time to the beginning. Eren not wanting to die. Armin legit going crazy. Levi seing Hange Erwin and all the other scouts and crying now he is the only original member of the scouts. This truly was a masterpiece
Mikasa's line of "I want to see you again" really hits me deep. as someone who experienced deaths of people important to me while growing up, i realized i only start to cry so hard when that slow realization of "i'll never see them again no matter what" hits me. that's why i also loved the plot of frieren, author just decided to start the story of what happens next in endings and deaths. it's true that you will be bombarded with regrets but it's also true that we will never have 2nd chances like frieren had. makes me wonder what people around me will feel and do after my own death. i wonder but i hope for them only peace.
One of the best story ever told in anime. Eren has always been my favourite. What amaze me is brilliant writing of Hajime Isayama who wrote such a legend story. I loved every moment and character of this series so much. Always watched the episode as it came live. Now, the only thing which makes me a bit sad sometimes is that eren never had a chance to be with mikasa anytime. I liked how isayama changed the ending to make it this beautiful the original manga ending is just a bit sad. But this one is wholesome. So, I like how this all story unfold and also came to a beautiful end it deserved.

That dream mikasa had in the paths was actually what would've happened if mikasa didn't lie about her feelings for eren.
It wasn't a dream . It's a world of Eren's desire that he showed to Mikasa.
They did actually lived for 4 years in the paths, it was just happened like a blink of an eye as the timeline are different
A different timeline@@Some_guy_passing_by

The anime surpassed the manga, literally saved the ending the changes they made.
Now it doesn't look like armin cares about "Mikasa's feelings" over 80% of humanity's extinction, as it should be.
Yes! A master pièce anime Who surpass the original content (manga), another Win
I blame the translation in this case
yeah I remember not liking the manga ending. took a chance with this and the anime explained Eren's motives and emotions so much better. it probably isnt far off and maybe its a lost in translation thing, but the anime did this scene justice
@pptonto Really though? They salvaged this scene, but what about the fact that Eren still killed his own mother? That Eren thought of this as the best solution for peace? That, how even Armin pointed out, he didn't think the rest of the world would take the anger out on Eldiands after what Eren did? That one conversation was made better in the anime but couldn't save the ending at all.
@@RC_ALB They're on copium, Isayama is just not good enough of a writer to be able to include all the time travel bullshit without it destroying the story.

The end shows the cycle of violence would never end. Regardless even if Eren succeeded the people from the island would just turn on each other. Few already have.

War. War never changes.
But People do.
but he bought a lot of time for paradis lol, a few centuries prob.
That's what I feel like people miss when they say Eren should of finished the other 20% of humanity outside of Paradis Island. Eben if the Eldians were all that was left of Humanity, that doesn't mean that they would stay united forever. Eventually, things will change, factions will form and if things start getting violent, it'll lead to civil war.

since the first episode, armin has been my favorite character. seeing that last conversation between him and eren, the two of them wanting to be together forever, the hug, breaks me in an inexplicable way. the cry/scream he makes when he sees eren's head... it should be forbidden to hear something that painful.

Man. This was an era for me. Ive grown so much in those 10 years. Aot will always be in my heart. This hit so hard it threw me back to me 10 years ago.
Talk I’m telling you no matter how many times I see this for some reason I just break down the look on wrens face accepting his death. Milkasa breaking down and just wanting to go back in time to the beginning. Eren not wanting to die. Armin legit going crazy. Still can't believe that this anime is already ended💔, goodbye Eren...
That beheading of Eren was so smooth, and sleek. And without hesitation.

This anime is about 10 - 11 years old, but it felt like its only been about 5 years.
I feel so sad like it's been years since the end showed up and the scene that hurts me the morst is when we can see all the characters of aot doing there lives after eren's death ut we can see mikasa and share her feelings because she can"t move on and the fact that seeing her crying is so heartbreacking. She really loved eren .
the really striking thing to me about the final scene is that it takes the cynical concept of war being a byproduct of humanity existing and puts an optimistic spin on it by showing that no matter how many times the bad parts of humanity cause it to destroy itself, there will still always be hope for a brighter future
Whether it's Titans or ICBMs, Humanity will go on in spite of its self afflicted wounds.
I cannot get over how perfect the ending of this series was, goddamn
Yeah, no
I was mad when it came out in the manga and Im even more mad now…. This show was ALMOST perfect…… this ending was trash. How did they build up Eren and Mikasa being together only for him to die and her to be left alone…. The creator said he was rushed and wanted to do another ending…. Well, there's Code Geass. Lelouch the MC is at first the rebel, then the conqueror, then he dies to save his loved ones and bring balance to the world. I don't know if Isayama took inspiration from that, but the ending is copy paste that of Code Geass.
