Today we are building some ruined walls that will work perfectly on my wargaming board! This terrain build was a fun one, and I am excited to use it in some upcoming battle reports.
This build is perfect for tabletop wargames such as Frostgrave, or other tabletop games like Dungeons & Dragons!
This is a great way to get started in making some tabletop terrain for new folks and those that are experienced tabletop crafters as well.
Your ruins manage to always look so unique compared to everything else I see. Love the channel
I always enjoy trying to make these builds look a bit different from your typical creations. Good to know it’s working 😀
I, for one, welcome our new Dice Catter overlords! Also, the walls look fantastic!
Idea for future foam brick madness: maybe incorporate slices of hexagonal "stone", on their side, to create an interesting pattern and tie it together with your other ruins?
I like the way you think! Always a good idea to mix your builds together to create some cohesion, even though each craft can be its own solo piece.
I love the vibe you were able to bring to these with the paint scheme. I'm also super intrigued by the idea of using spackle to fill in the cracks after the first round of painting. I'm going to need to try that!
Give it a try! I’d suggest test it out a couple times before trying it out on your favorite build 😅
Came for the awesome terrain, stayed for the cats. Haha, jk awesome work! I love the idea of precutting the foam bricks and shaking them with rocks.
Always trying to work smarter, not harder. And thanks for the high praise!
Love it. The grout added in really made it come together.
Thank you! Glad it all worked out!
Love the weird walls. They are so creatively different and would be a blast to see on the table.
Thanks! Looking forward to getting some games in with them. 😀
I just learned something new! Making sculptures out of clay is absolutely brilliant. I’ll definitely use this in future projects when the time is right. Thanks for an inspiring video!
No problemo, just happy I can help 😃
Absolutely loved this video, I'm quite new to wargaming and the biggest hurdle for me has been putting together a board for me and my housemates to play some skirmish games on. Managed to craft up a few things from art supplies we as a group already had since we're all art students but with this landscape of tabletop games being so new we don't really have a frame of context so seeing the mixed medium elements here such as the larger clay faces and then the little bricks, string etc etc put together to construct an environment that tells a story just makes so many lightbulbs blink in my head when looking at our surplus of art supplies and replaces what was once a roadblock to a creative opportunity. Thanks for the putting this up!
Wow! Love this comment! For someone who does not have an artistic background, it has been a fun challenge learning about all of these tools and techniques. If you ever have any neat ideas, input, or other ways to tackle a project, I am always happy to listen.
Really nice! A bit of weird is nice from time to time :D Love the cats too!
Thank you as always Cage! And they are a handful 😻
Watching this video as my Super Sculpey is baking in the oven, love your content !
Good luck! I hope whatever you are creating works out!
Dude!! I see you are stepping up your game!! That last build must have really sparked something in you.
Wonderful video! I love the gate 👍
Thank you very much!
This ruins look amazing and really original. I've been hesitant on trying clay for some projects but looking to what you achieved with relatively simple shapes gave me the final spark to try it myself!
Keep up with the great content and congratulations for your incredible work!
Awesome! Let me know how the clay work goes 😁
I love the faces, they make for a very unique, kinda psychedelic look!
Thanks, Keggers! Happy how they turned out.
Excellent use of clay. Nothing says "spooky ruins" like "Big Face Doorway".
Exactly. 👻
The spackle solution is crazy good
It's funny, the spackle always looks like crap, and then you add some washes and grime. 👌
These look great. They would fit in perfectly as terrain in Frostgrave Ghost Archipelago.
Looking forward to using these in some FG!
I always love your builds (and reports) but these weird walls are especially great!! Love the look and vibe they create.
CASEY! Appreciate it, my friend! 😁
This is one of the most unique wall builds i've seen, and i love it!
Appreciate it, my friend!
Nice work dude. Such a beautiful piece of work 👍👍
Thank you, my friend.
Really digging the style of your terrain. I have no idea how I could not notice your channel earlier. instant subscribe. + cats which is always a bonus
Welcome aboard! Happy you enjoy the builds and the kitties 😺
Those are gorgeous!
Thank you 😃
Bring on the weird! Love these faces and the gate
Thank you! And appreciate the reminder to snag some coffee 😅
Wow absolutely love the finished result
Thank you, TonyBaloney!
@@DiceChatterjust found your channel through this video and I'm already hooked, I'd love to see more ancient mesoamerican-esque terrain like this, maybe some Adobe buildings?
Kitties!!! ♥ Awesome work on that terrain as always man! Also, those minis look super good
Thanks a ton! 😻
Great video, Well done. Love this build
Thanks a bunch! 🥰
Great to see the channel growing! Keep up the good work.
All thanks to folks like you, Jtrow 🤓
Looks amazing! Getting me excited for the next battle report.
That makes two of us! 😂
Thanks for sharing your excellent hobby work.
Of course! Anytime 🤓
Well now that you made a wonder wall. when will you paint a free bird?
Also driving short nails at the bottom of the piece might be a better way of putting the center of gravity down. At least for some pieces.
The free bird will be posted next week. 😅
And not a bad idea! Some short nails could do the trick!
Nice build. Thank you for sharing this.
No problem 👍
Incredible build!! Always love seeing your builds! Keep up the great work! ❤
Thank you so much!
Amazing work as always!
Thank you! And nice shocked kitty profile pic!
Woow!! Looks so good! U did something really cool and new man!! ❤❤❤
Thank you so much 😁
Hello kitties!!
Love the unique additions to these walls ❤❤❤
Thank you! Cheers!
@@DiceChatter you are welcome 🤗
Love me some Temple of Doom vibes
Oooh hell yeah!
Jade being the wizard and Gary the apprentice, right?
Hahaha! I was hoping someone would mention this! Nail on the head 😻
Why not make weighted clay bricks to use near the base, instead of the BBs?
Ahhh, just didn’t think of it… 🫠
Soooo cool❤
I miss the wizard 😢
🧙♂️
Gary ftw
😻
