    What a beautiful home! My heart breaks knowing that even after all these years working as a RN, I’ll probably never get to live in a beautiful home like this, especially with the current housing crisis & rising prices. *Sigh* ugh, back to work I go…I guess…but at least I can dream.😔

      FHA loan really helped me out! We were able to put only 3.5% down and the payments were about the same as my apartment. Don't lose hope!

      I know the feeling. I am a LPN with two jobs, also having a disabled child it is hard to find big enough homes that is all on one floor.

    • @dawnhenderson2333
      @dawnhenderson2333 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      That would depend on where you live. FHA loans are great for first time homebuyers. The down payment is minimal. Probably 1000 or two more than you would pay for a security deposit to rent a home. I just bought a custom home and a private community for $280,000. So it’s doable. Just keep working hard. Keep your faith in God and yourself. Your time will come. You’re doing Gods work after all, you’re a healer. You deserve it 🙏

    I really love the way the builder designed the kitchen island so that people can sit on the end as well as the length of it. That makes it a lot more family-friends oriented, and more likely to be used to eat meals at instead of just sit for a minute.

    Love the layout! I'm not a pantry person but this is one that fits nicely with the home. The back splash in the kitchen goes well. Living area is great. The office could be a room itself, it so big. I would cut into the master closet so that I could add a stand alone tub in the master bath and I love it when the bathroom has a divider for the toilet instead of a door and tiny potty area. So that was a plus for me. Amazing show on this one👏

    Is this just the model home location and that property would eventually become an office? While the inside of the home was quiet, I can't imagine living with the busy highway out front. Unless, of course, you enjoy sitting on the front porch and watching the cars go by. Could be very entertaining!!

  • @petealfonso
    @petealfonso 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Love the home overall. Agree with the majority that having a tub in the master is worth it, but imo though, the additional sink and microwave in the pantry is a waste. If it were a butlery leading into a formal dining room, maybe, but as it’s just a dead end pantry, and just steps away from the primary sink and microwave, I wouldn’t bother. You might be able to swing me on the sink for the odd time out of needing it, but I can’t think if one time in my life I felt myself in need of a second microwave within ten feet of each other. But great job, nonetheless

  • @deerogatory
    @deerogatory 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    This is beautiful. I was so glad to see an open office in the front vs. the dining room. Front rooms and front offices are a great landing area for people not familiar or temporarily entering the home. It just seems more appropriate than walking in and seeing a dining room table. The dining room in this home with extra storage and the butler pantry were magnificent and an ample laundry/mud room. I prefer to see a mudroom/laundry/pantry when walking into the residence from the garage. Makes home deliveries more sensible and safe for the homeowner with the home deliveries for groceries and Amazon stops. Just what I would have loved. The kitchen island was a show stopper, I would have liked to see an upgraded refrigerator, the dishwashers and the stover were show stoppers. Miss is the closet space in the smaller bedrooms, I felt those could be bigger and in a home like this it seems a shame to not have an entire wet room for the master, a double shower and encased bath would have been a lovely statement. What was installed was beautiful, I just still prefer to see a soaker tub in the master bath. I loved all the owner/functions closer /accessible to the master and other bedrooms on the opposite side of the home.The dining area so perfect and just made the entire space a full living area we'd use every day. I would buy this house, as is, in a heartbeat.

    • @tamielizabethallaway2413
      @tamielizabethallaway2413 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Totally agree! I love bedrooms together... Living/daytime/loud side of house - Sleeping/nighttime/peaceful side of house. And what is up with those chopped in half bathrooms? I have never once in my life EVER had someone bang on the bathroom door because I'm taking too long, and they are absolutely DESPERATE hovering by the door, trying to contain themselves because they need the bathroom NOW....
      to wash their hands! 🙄🙄🙄
      Just lock the whole room and everyone else can wait their turn! There's a sink in the laundry room, another in the pantry, another in the kitchen, hell you could even put a bowl under the pot filler or go out to the garden hose if you're that desperate to wash your hands! So bizarre! Locking yourself in a toilet just so others can get to a sink? I don't want someone two feet away from me brushing their teeth while I'm trying to use the toilet! Go away! 🤣

    Do architects try to develop the most complex roof lines possible? So many bump outs too. We have forgotten that the main purpose of a roof is to control water which becomes very challenging the more you deviate from a simple gable roof. I wish they would bring the classic designs of the past back.

    I like the floorpan, especially the option to get into the master suite from the laundry room or the kitchen area. A bit surprised there is no deep Jetta tub in the master bath and no upscale built-ins in the master closet. Hell, my home is 20 years old and my master bath/closet blow this thing away in terms of built-ins, storage, etc. I do really like the colors of flooring, cabinets, walls, etc. Very nicely done. I guess the gold fixtures are making a comeback (muted gold, anyways) so I'll be curious if that really catches on. I wish basements were feasible here in Oklahoma....but very very few builders want to build them/or recommend them.....but I love the additional square footage without having to build up..especially since getting "below ground" is a fairly frequent safety concern here during tornado season.

    Exposed wood beams on the front porch = eventual wood rot and constant maintenance unless it pvc or hardy plank that looks like wood. Those huge windows will require large blinds for privacy, particularly in the evening. The tub in the shower/tub combo is small and is probably only suitable for a child or small person.
    The stone fireplace is decent, but gas only fireplaces don’t give off nearly as much heat as wood burning in case the power goes out.
    The chef’s pantry is really nice.
    The shower in the master bathroom is magnificent.
    The basement is massive. You can do a lot of stuff with that.
    The great room and kitchen is nice, however I prefer a vaulted ceiling for a great room.
    Overall it’s a very nice house, however it’s definitely not my favorite. I prefer a more earthy feel and design and not having a vaulted ceiling for the great room subtracts points for me. The star attractions of this house are the chef’s pantry and the amazing shower in the master bathroom.

    What I noticed about this home is
    It's clean line
    It's a calming home
    I think the only thing I would change.
    Is having a deeper basement so it's 12 ft downstairs. And I would have
    Beams going across down stairs.
    With the narrow windows and a downstairs door .just a thought
    Could even have an other home downstairs which pays for the home
    ,only people that are ,quite
    you could set up and highlighted for your area .
    Like where we live it is an hour to the beach it is 2:30 hours from Portland and 2:00 hours to
    Crater Lake and ten minutes to the Casino there are many ways to create an atmosphere that Suits You what you crave
    I would created in the mountains overlooking overlooking the Majestic Northwest Douglas fir .
    That would take big dollars.
    Still the home is beautiful

    Beautiful home but has a major design flaw. If i wanted a home office that was a client meeting space, I'd put it where it is but I'd also have a powder room off the foyer that didn't give clients access to the rest of the home. If i just wanted a private home office, i wouldn't want to put it near the noisy center of the home. I'd want it in a quiet remote location within the home. This doesn't satisfy either need.

    These new designs are lovely. However, I would personally prefer one without the butler's pantry, where the utility room is closer. Also, to arrange all of the nice details and offer a spacious master suite, yet, without a soaking tub, greatly reduces the luxurious atmosphere and potential resale value, in my opinion.

      completely agree a master suite should have a tub. thats probably an "upgrade" option

    I really like the layout of that house I think I would go with dark wood floors black or very dark espresso also for the den instead of the barn doors I would probably want to put French doors there in a tub in the master

    I wish they did brick homes and walkout basements. Every home I have ever seen them do has that new type of siding on it which is not my thing.

    Needs a 4th bedroom and another bathroom with more modern appliances like a dual fuel stove& oven and hardy board instead of vinyl and Family Room.

    Nice home, the only thing I don't like is the masterbedroom size. I have come to relealize that I need a separate sitting area in my masterbedroom.
    I've been looking at homes for over a year..I am no longer wowed by vinyl flooring, different textured backsplash, gold or black fixtures, kitchen facuets, vinyl base boards and vaulted ceilings...all of those things are easily duplicated, but finding master bedrooms that are 20 x 20+ and kids rooms 13 x 14 are harder to find because they are not track homes...

    For a 3 bedroom home, it doesn't seem to have a lot of living space. One main family space shared with the kitchen doesn't seem like enough. There's no lounge or other room away from the main space, which seems odd to me. A lot of the space seems to be dedicated to extra amenities that I'd prefer given over to a separate living area. It is nice though.

    That hall bath is called a Split Bath. There is no water closet as that is for a small room with only a toilet or toilet and bidet. If a room has only a washer/dryer and maybe a sink, then it's a laundry room. Utility room suggests HVAC, hot water heater/instant hot water, fuse box etc. Nice house. Nice layout. There are one or two changes I would make ie: no barn door opening to the family room from the office and a fourth bedroom would be nice.

      @@hcrawford79 Then what are those big white tanks holding water with heating coils wrapped around them? Anyway, I was speaking of those hot water on demand systems that are much more energy efficient.

    • @hcrawford79
      @hcrawford79 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well hon, theres no such thing as a hot water heater bc hot water is already hot, so it needs no heating. They're simply called "water heaters" lol

    I realize it is a model home, but 3 garage bays that were landscaped...no driveway so I struggled a bit to visualize how the front would really look. I assume the closet tucked in by the 2 bedrooms was actually the entrance closet as there was none in the actual entry way. The master suite was a bit rambling for my taste but it could be a gorgeous home. Did love the exterior colors!

    I really wanted to love this home - it's very nice from the outside but I'm not crazy about the inside. To me for this size home the kitchen seems a little too small - not elaborate enough or something. The master bath having no soaker tub was a let down .... But all in all it's a beautiful home .... Just not an "out of the park" for me ....

    • @holleydowns9385
      @holleydowns9385 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, Denise Smith, I believe these homes are custom built to owner’s desires. I would leave the kitchen alone and put a soaker tub in the master bath.
