  • In this episode, I talk to Dr. Vishnu Soma Kumar who is from a peripheral Deemed Medical College, Although his professor thought he was good for nothing, he not only managed to prove them wrong, but he did it with Style - Rank 120 All India is not something that happens by Luck!
Join our banter as we talk about how he Overcame the culture of sab chalta hai bhai & the lack of guidance in terms of preparing for future exams.
How he Broke out from the stigma of a student coming from a deemed college
P.S: He says he would not study out of interest, but rather out of guilt.... for.... listen to find out!

Congratulations for such a good rank...
Sorry to say that In today's scenario it doesn't matter at all from where do you do your MBBS....Academics and quality have gone down now in majority of MBBS colleges of INDIA as compared to past....It's just that u complete your MBBS and pass from whatever institute you are in....19 subjects ,books, source of preparation will remain same for all the students may it be from a govt clg or pvt clg and even i would say somebody who has done MBBS from outside India....It's just that how much an individual is using his/her brains, how much hard work he/she is ready to do and how much effectively he/she is using the available resources!!
When I gave NEET PG ,one of my colleague who is currently with me ...got AIR-2 after studying from private medical College!!

As you might know here we study for 6 years and subjects differ in years as in India. In 3rd year I've in college pharmacology, pathology, medicine, surgery, microbiology, radiology. And I've taken marrow plan c. How should I approach for NEXT at this time? And since I've 3.5 years, how must it be planned? Bhai mujhe ek baat bataao. Tum log itna padh likh lete ho lekin market mein fir bhi achee doctors kyu nahin hain its hard to find good doctors who can actually treat pateints.

Very few doctors have achieved it though hardwork. Many have got seats through reservations. Others have bank balance and they just wanted a degree to boast of infront of their relatives. This is the reason for poor quality of doctors. Our country doesn't encourage merit based students but it is biased for reservations. Rich ppl take the seats from deemed colleges and private colleges. So whom do you wanna blame???? A field where merit should be the topmost priority isn't a priority in India. In my college, I got seat with 1k rank but some of my friends got in with 50k. They were least interested in studying or in bedside clinics. Later because of those bad doctors ppl even blame the good ones. So yeah you have the answer!!!

@@impregnable_ i already know this being a science student. but i know doctors who have years of experience and have gotten into it on the basis of merit but lack basic understanding of medicines and human bodies. I will give you one recent example when i went to well known doctor he told me my allergies were due to low immunity. I was just amazed at his stupidity or may be he was just plain ignorant. Many a times they are not specialised in something but would still keep on pushing it rather than suggesting it to the right doctor. This was just one example there are many more such docs and im not talking about tier two or 3 city but a city like mumbai.but thanks for your reply and insights.
