    I myself a graduate from AFMC will tell you why shouldn't you join AFMC .
    1.The rules keep on changing quite frequently at AFMC ,so you wouldn't get a proper video about rules of AFMC ,For Example
    Earlier both SSC & PC officers were allowed to give PG exams after 4 yrs of service & both would be treated equally in priority 1 & would get good clinical seats in PG but all of a sudden they passed a rule that now they wont give reservation to SSC candidates ,so now a SSC candidate will serve for 7 yrs & he wont get priority 1 (means no good clinical seat ) so after 7 yrs he will be left with Just MBBS degree competing in civil for PG .
    2.Bond Money has been increased to 67 lakh ,so once you take admission & get SSC you are stuck .
    Neither you can pay out nor you can see your career getting destroyed (i.e remaining a MBBS after 7 yrs & left to fight for PG in civil )
    3.50% of the graduates of AFMC will get SSC .suppose you join AFMC & you get SSC then you are just stuck in a situation where everything is out of your hand .
    4.During the course if you sustain any injury for which you are declared unfit for joining forces then you will have to pay the bond money i.e 67 lakh
    So ,pls think before joining AFMC ,earlier it was a good option but after imtroduction of abrupt rule i.e no PG quota to SSC officers it has become a very bad option .
    Many candidates know this rules after taking admission i.e you will be stuck .
    Even if you get PC you will have to serve 20 yrs minimum & no body gets release after 20 yrs they keep on writing to army headquarters for release & in that process it takes another 4-5 yrs & that too if you have just done PG ,if you do SS then you have to serve for another 11 yrs means 20+11 means 31 yrs .
    So think all the prospects .
    Getting PC or SSC is not in your hand .
    Thanks for reading .
    Even a AFMC 1st 2nd year wont know all these rules ,since i hv passed out in 2018 i am telling you the rules which are all correct till date

    I did MBBS from AFMC 2012 batch
    With a bond of 60 LACS , if u don't get permanent commission
    And end up with short service commission ( SSC ) u will have to do 7 years of Bond service without doing PG
    Once u get out of there , you are left with just a MBBS degree !!!
    Go to AFMC only if u want to join the forces for the long run

    okay, so the thing is after MBBS you get to choose between permanent commission and short service commission. For permanent commission you can do PG super speciality and everything that you wish to do and anywhere that you wish to do, many doctors here have done MCh and DM from AIIMS, PGI etc. Now coming to Short service commission, you get to do PG just like permanent commission, after 4 years post internship. But after Pg the bond is increased by another 6 years, so total of 14 years of service including the internship and PG course. After this you get ex servicemen quota for DM|MCH in army hospitals. Also if you wish to leave after 7 years post MBBS without PG, you get the same ex servicemen quota for PG In ARMY hospitals, and it’s pretty much easy to bag the seat of your choice that way. Also for in service pg the cutoffs are insanely low, so you get your seat of choice almost 70_~80% of times, so in this era of reservations, this security is something you’ll reaslise the importance of only after MBBS, after NEET ug everyone thinks they’ll do neet pg and bag the seat of their choice easily, but it doesn’t happen always. Many many people have to take a drop of 1~2 years, if lucky. There are so many ppl who have to take drop more than 2 times, so you aren’t going to save time or anything outside in fact being in army you’ll get a great pay before your pg. In my opinion, if you’re getting AFMC, you should take it, you won’t regret it ever! Also for the sake of validity of my opinion, I’ve done my MBBS from AFMC!

    IN AFMC ... DISCIPLINE IS NOT THAT MUCH TOUGH ... IT'S EASY ... AND OBVIOUSLY THERE IS ALSO FREEDOM .... TO ENJOY , TO LIVE LIFE IN OWN WAY .. BUT WITH SLIGHT/MODERATE DISCIPLINE ..... AS WELL ... AFMC DOCTOR'S ALSO SERVES COMMON PEOPLE ALL OVER INDIA ..... INCLUDING ARMIES ... !!!!
    But Yes , The Only and Only Disadvantages are 7yrs and 60 lacs of Bond ... After that .. You can Do .. Specialisation in whichever Field anyone want ... !!! BUT "DISCIPLINE" .. Word .. is that which People always used to Think ..... It means ... "First of All Commit any Task and don't try to leave in between" ... Should have to Complete that Task when once Committed .... and follow the all Orders of Senior Teachers .... and after that .. you can enjoy freedomly in your own way .... THOUGH AFMC , Pune for Armed Forces .. One can Serve Whole Nation too .... Many People Cannot get a Chance to work as an Armed Force with Armies for serving our GREAT "BHARAT MAATA" ... So , we should feel Proud ... and Again I m saying that .. AFMC's Doctors also serves .. Common People in Hospitals/Nursing of Publics as well can Open his/her Clinic too ... !!! Also .. Research Facilities available nationally and internationally both ....... INFINITY LEVEL GREAT GREAT COLLEGE ... !!! .... • @doctord2897
      @doctord2897 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@DrAditya2935 that’s not exactly true. The thing is, if you’re declared unfit just before joining, you’re practically free to go with no bond money. The problem arises when you’re declared unfit earlier, say in 1st year or 2nd year, in that case you’ve to bear the training fees which is huge, comes to around 30 lakhs up and above the remaining bond money( bond money is calculated based on the years of service/ training left, for example if I were to leave in 1st year, the bond to pay would be something on the lines of 5-6 lakhs rupees but in final year it would be 30 lakh rupees for 2020 batch.

    • @doctord2897
      @doctord2897 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Also when you’re declared unfit, there are two categories, one in Which you had no control over the disability suffered, in which case you have to pay no bond money and the other case is when you had control over it, for example accidents while playing on field, now there’s some ambiguity here, the board decides what was and wasn’t under your control and there aren’t strict rules about it, so most of the times you end up paying the bond. There are cases in SC about the same. But such things are rare, say one or two ppl per batch.

    Yesss I'm totally attracted by the beauty of AFMC but I want to be an oncologist so this college shouldn't be an option for me ... yess I respect nationality, patriotism , all the perks, rules and regulations, everything makes so proud but I can't give up on what that made me to choose Doctor as an occupation...
    As behind some medical students there's a disease of someone they love ....
    Yesssss behind me , it's cancer ! I lost my brother coz of it ... and as he wanted to see me as a doctor, I decided to be a great oncologist....

    Ragra is kinda' an integral part of the armed forces specially during the training period so it's something quite obvious and not to be misunderstood with being toxic as even you have mentioned perks are a cut above however the life that an armed forces personnel has to lead is really too difficult whatever be the Corp of service (medical , engineering, logisticians, aviation,infantry arti etc) every single personnel is quite well aware of the fact that there life is solely for the Nation come may what so yea' people who are attracted by perks and pay scales should acknowledge em' selves of the fact that it's not at all for the afformentioned purpose , coming to the point academic growth one has to have that fire from within moreover you don't have to worry at all about the pg medical officers need not clear neet pg they are made to do the pg internally if interested

Please do some research about it to avoid any sort of confusion and "do consult a doctor in case if you feel any sort of pain or prolonged discomfort", and also to remove all doubts from your mind.
