I also prefer sand fleas to anything else. Crabs have claws and are annoying. The most popular is probably green crabs and it's annoying to have to chop them in half and take the legs off. Sand flea you just hook it and it works the exact same as any other crab.
I've lost many tog jigs at that spot. I only use a high low rig there now with a rubber band attached to the sinker so I don't have to keep tying new rigs everytime I break off
