I work on a Super Yacht and we use Barkeepers Friend all the time. It is brilliant.

Kay, it was interesting to hear you mention Winter Solstice in the context you did. It's the only book I've ever read multiple times. I've read it twice, and listened to it on audible once. It totally transported me to it's beautiful locations.
I love the Bits & Bobs Cowl, and look forward to adding it to my library. Great episode, you two!

My girls and I watched 1917 earlier in January and we loved it too. Such a wonderful film! Think you will love Madame Secretary, I just finished the series. It was very engaging. Because of Christmas knitting I just started the Yuletide socks. They are so fun and the patterns are beautiful. Although they are holiday socks I plan to wear them as soon as they are finished. Lovely job on the pattern Kay! (As with all your patterns)

I agree with Dan about it being stressful to start a new project. Deciding what to knit, and making it work like Dad said.

Lovely episode. Your conversation about dialling codes did make me laugh. My mum used to work at the Telephone Exchange in London when she was a young lady in the 1950s or 60s. Once upon a time she had to put someone through to Princess Margaret. I can’t quite remember who it was but it was someone really famous and I’m sure they were from a band like the Rolling Stones.

33:58 Here lies Dan’s poor yarn ball. RIP 😂 Quality is looking excellent! I especially love how much better it looks when Kay holds something up close for us to see.

Other than the knitting content and special features of course, my two favorite things about your podcasts are 1)when Kay starts digressing and telling a story totally unrelated to what she was originally talking about

Ah, the second stitch - thank you! I've used dpns for years and still get ladders. I'll try that. Ps my go to dinner after my evening Pilates class is potato waffles with a fried egg

Your hand dyed crunkled socks look like the underbelly scales of a snake!! So cool! Also, DEFINITELY watch Anne with an E. It is so good.

It looks like a Dragons-egg-pattern!!! (the sock pattern I mean... ) Well, you did it! Another wonderful episode of the Bakery Bears! I truly liked your film review! I have not heard of this movie, but I will most certainly go an watch it now, after your vivid description of it. Thank you for that! Love you guys!

Madame Secretary is one of my favourite things to watch. It's on Season 6 now and it's still a great way to spend an hour! With you also on Instinct. I've made two Harbour Cowls and absolutely love the pattern. I'm planning to make some wrist warmers in the same pattern. Thanks for all the inspiration.

Have you seen ‘ Wild at Heart’? Great family show. The picture is great! Very sharp. I just made your Mrs. Tiggy socks using Cascade Heritage for the first time. The ribbing was springy and soft and luscious. I will definitely use Cascade Heritage many more times in the future.

Great quality. After watching your podcasts, I find myself keep saying ‘nEEow’. As Dan cannot seem to say the word ‘nOW’. lol. I thought he kept saying ‘meow’ and wondered why!! It’s quite sweet really ☺️

Kay! I have been knitting the Sunwalker shawl by Melanie Berg-and the main fabric does look krunkled! People always pull it open a bit and say “oh, it’s made to look wrinkly” lol

I am binge watching The Gilmore Girls (netflix) which I had never watched before - enjoying it, and oddly perhaps, my 26 yr old son is enjoying it also.

I love when it is cold. The alternative is "hot" summer. Spring and fall are good too as long as it is not hot.

I think you would really like THE AMERICANS - Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell are Russian spies trained to pass as Americans in the 80’s. It was by far my fave show of the last decade.
