That's fantastic. You did an excellent job! That's a lot of work. Makes me appreciate even more a particular knife that I now own.

Mr. Bill what can't you do? I was not expecting to see you make a knife and sheath. Came out fantastic and looks like it would be quite comfortable in your hand. Excellent project and video!!

Thanks George! I have been making knives for years just for fun. A pro would not leave tool marks on the blade like I do, but I like to think they give the knife 'character!' 😀I keep learning and keep trying though. Regards, Bill.

Great work! I made a carving knife from an old jigsaw blade, but nowhere near as nice as those! Happy New Year to you and yours!

Awesome job Bill! Just a beautiful knife and sheath. I love the Bubinga handle and the stitching on the sheath really sets it off. Happy New year

You are not an amateur. If I tried this I would melt the bumper of my car, chip the windshield, ruin my wife's toaster oven, and still have an ugly prison shank. Happy New Year.

Dont sell yourself short, Bud. I own knives that from Pro companies that look like they were made by amateurs just getting started.
You got more skill than you give yourself credit. Are you just fishing for compliments? lol
on the subject of file knives, i bet a thinner file-made-knife would look pretty interesting if the file teeth were not still sharp, but clearly defined on the faces. im sure there are good reasons not to do that but it would look pretty cool, i think.
And is that a Dremel drill press? is it a regular Dremel with a press accessory or a single unit?

Definitely not fishing for compliments - just telling it like it is. There are tool marks still visible and heat treating and annealing are hit and miss. No pro or talented amateur would put up with that. My uncle used to make file knives with the top edge still serrated - they did look pretty neat. Like I said though, I'm just doing this for fun and not trying to impress anyone. The Dremel drill press is an accessory and any Dremel tool should fit. Thanks for watching the video and I appreciate the comment! Bill.
