    One should never forget that Ethiopia is named as the water tower of Africa!!! And by the way, about 84% of the Great Nile's water is tributed by the Blue Nile which originates from Lake Tana!!! The blue Nile itself is tributed by Abbay river which originates from sekela, Gojam, Tekeze river and Baro Akobo river!!!

    • @limofootball
      @limofootball 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      We're talking about the source of the longest river and not the source of the blue Nile. It doesn't matter that the largest volume is by Blue Nile bc none of that is in Uganda. Lake Victoria provides all the volume for the white Nike and this makes it the longest bc it comes from lake Victoria.

      @@limofootballhere we are talking about Nile river not it's length. River means size or volume matters. The name nile is only after white and blue nile joined in kartum not before that. If you want to talk about the river before kartum you have to call it by its name which white or blue and also you need to mention its volume so that everybody can have clear idea about the river you are talking about. As long as there is white nile and blue nile, nile from kartum is not the longest river in the world. Simple.

      @@rwaburungajonathan7137white nile is a tributary because it is very small in volume contribution to the water that reached Mediterranean sea.

    Ĺake Victoria is the primary source of the Nile River. However, the source of lake Victoria is mainly Kenyan Rivers. Kenyan Rivers contribute about 90% of the waters of lake Victoria. However, kenya has the smallest share of the lake.
    The rivers that feed Lake Victoria from Kenya are:
    River Nzoia
    River Yala
    River Sondu
    River Mara
    River Nyando
    River Migori
    River Gucha

    • @limofootball
      @limofootball 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Ethiopians need to hear your statement. They keep talking about providing the larger volume as if the White Nile depends on them lol. The white Nile would still reach the Mediterranean sea if the 2 tributaries didn't meet and this would make the White Nile the longest river itw. So, this is another stupid claim. They're 2 different rivers that just happen to meet. One makes it the longest itw and the other enhances it's volume. Point closed.

      @@kiiza2886 I think you're drunk.first of all lake Victoria which is the source of river nile is not bordering Rwanda. Again there's no river nile in Rwanda. The nile starts from lake Victoria on the side of Uganda. Lake Victoria is shared by three countries i.e. Uganda,Kenya Tanzania. Lake Victoria is fed by numerous rivers from the East African countries hence it's the source of river nile which begins from Uganda side at a place called Jinja. I repeat lake Victoria is shared by three countries i.e. Uganda Kenya and Tanzania with Uganda and Tanzania sharing a big part.so where does Rwanda comes in.Is there a river in Rwanda called Nile. There many rivers in East Africa which flow in to lake Victoria so if think kajera fills the lake then you're lying. Mainly Rivers are from Kenya Uganda and Tanzania. The two lakes met in Sudan and flow fluently down to Egypt. 3:00 - Change the name back to Lake Nalubaale, why are we using these colonial rulers names, Africa must reclaim it's image. John Speke discovery was for the Europeans, us Africans had already discovered all of this, we didn't have to document it to for recognition, we need to stop living in the Europeans story of events and giving them praise.

    John Speke, is the first European to see the source of the Nile in Uganda. This is the correct statement. By the time he came, the Basoga and the Baganda were already where they are for more than seven centuries. The term "DISCOVERE"is erroneously used by the European explorers. It depicts colonial mindset of authority in documentation.
    It would equally be proper to reverse the name of lake Victoria to it's native luganda or lusoga name. The to it, Victoria, is totally foreign. It hallows foreign master, the Queen of England at the time.
    Iddi Amin tried to change the names of our lakes and game parks but after he was deposed, the names reverted the colonial names given. This is an indicator that we are not yet fully liberated. Let leaders, with the guidance of traditional leaders and historians change these names. These will demonstrate our heritage not of Europeans.
