This woman is ambassador material. She makes this journey so enjoyable & mesmerises me with the way she chooses to interact with the various people. Very authentic & you get a sense that she totally enjoys what she does.
Joanna is exceptional as a guide for these series of documentaries, a great balance of humility, respect, philosophy, enthusiasm and humour. May you rejoice and inspire us long time!
Joanna is one of the nicest people to come out of Britain in many decades. She should serve as a role-model. She has a positive and wonderful attitude to life.
Joanna , my mother used to sell bread to you . She managed the shop in Hornchurch , Essex . Always updated us whenever you visited . Her memory lives on , and watching you is a real pleasure . God Bless .
45 minutes of excitement and spiritual journey in my beloved country Sudan, thank you Joanna for every single moment you spent to show my country to other people a round the world.
Watched the 45.43 mins without skipping, I felt like I was travelling with her, she looks very relaxed and friendly with the Beautiful Sudanese people.
Thanks Joanna. I also agree she is very respectful to the way people live. Also, I love the fact that she had the courage to go everywhere, mix with the locals and even participate in their events and try their food.

As an American I wasn’t quite used to those accommodations. I remember waking up smelling like engine oil. So funny how things can trigger memories
Agree Sudanese are nice and noble people. I work with Sudanese guy in the US and when he greets me is similar to Somalis greeting where he asked you how are you, the family, husband and life in general. One day I was working with one of my co-worker when the Sudan's guy show and started his long greeting and American Guy was so confused and listening us our nonstop salaam lol
I love Joanna's attitude toward overlooking the difficulties often encountered while traveling off the beaten path: "A lot of life is like that. Just get over it and just do it." What a treasure she is!
i watched some of your documentaries particularly about nile river and its pass through nations and I found that you are unbiased and you tell every thing you noticed as it is and beyond that you make the story watchable even by those who have less interest to africans. thank you! from Ethiopia.
I love listening to and watching this woman. She is authentic, truly interested in the people she speaks with, and genuinely curious about the places she visits. And here she is exploring a part of the world that I would love to know about.

Dear Joanna, I admire your courage and wonderful attitude towards everything, that you do, with feeling and enthusiasm! This lake "Nasser", has a surface-area of 5,250 square kilometres, as opposed to the other artificial lake, Lake Volta, in Ghana, which covers an area of 8,502 square kilometres.
