I hope you all are doing well.
In today's video, I am going to flip through the Vintage Better Homes and Gardens magazine that I found in the attic of our old farmhouse.
You may remember that I showed it in the Unboxing Vintage Treasures video.
I hope you enjoy looking through it with me and if you would rather not look- just listen. Well, you can do that too!
However you do it, I hope it soothes you to sleep and that you get a calm and restful feeling while watching it.

Such a great video! It is so crazy to me that this magazine came out 95 years ago and my husbands great-grandmother was 9 years old when that magazine came out. She will be 105 this fall!

I'm so happy I stumbled upon your channel! I'm in the process of moving to the northeast for college, and while I am so excited, it's so nice to watch your videos to get a little slice of home. My mom & I would flip through vintage Vogues and Better Homes & Gardens all the time. My grandma has a treasure trove of old newspapers & magazines. Loved this video a lot!

Here in Michigan is an island called Mackinac island and they have a fort that was built around 1812 and two battles were fought there during the war of 1812 and going to that fort felt like going back in time especially when the musket firing demonstrations were happening
It is so neat that you’ve experienced that!
And Mackinac Island! I’ve heard it’s such a beautiful place. There’s an old movie that I love that was filmed there with Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeve.

a full read-through of this would be so cool! magasines from this period always have the most gorgeous illustrations: i purchased a book filled entirely with magasine illustrations and ads from this period and it’s one of my favourite reference books for painting :)

We always have ham at Easter with a glaze made from pineapple and a can of coke.

Hey Lindy! I’ve been trying to snooze while listening to this video and the ads keep popping up in the middle and waking me up. Is there a setting you can choose so the ads are at the beginning and end? Don’t want you to lose monetization, just wondered if that was a setting on the video

I've looked into it, as others have mentioned the ads coming on, but there does not seem to be anything I can do. :(
According to TH-cam, they reserve the right to show ads on creators' channels that are not monetized.
Hopefully, once I am eligible for the TH-cam partner program, I can turn off the video. Thank you very much for watching my videos, and I hope you'll stick around until I resolve the issue. :)
