My favorite type of ASMR are when people are speaking casually and spontaneously telling stories about their past. I don't know why but that personal story telling has always been my biggest trigger. And you do it so often and so well. I've been watching ASMR for a long time, never found anyone quite like you. So authentic and gentle, I really love your style, I hope you keep doing it. Happy Halloween!🎃
You are seriously the sweetest soul. Seeing how much joy you derive from these books you used to read and shows you used to watch is the most comforting and relaxing thing. I know I am not alone in saying that we adore your videos for how sincere and gentle you are. Thank you so much.
I enjoyed this so much and your excitement made this so fun to watch! That quilt you made is beautiful and reminds me of the classic 90s/early 2000s halloween decor that feels so comforting and nostalgic. I would love to see a video talking about your paranormal experiences! Hearing about your happy childhood memories surrounding this time of year was so special and I felt your emotions! 🧡Thank you for doing this tag 😊

I've been watching nostalgic halloween shows/movies from my childhood this week and it's also brought up a lot of emotion for me ❤😭 I loveee the legend of sleepy hollow, I remember there was a little Disney sing a long Halloween movie that showed different clips and one of them was the headless horseman and I just adored it. I'm turning 25 tomorrow and it's just so hard sometimes coming to grips that I'll never be able to return to childhood, just forever holding those memories now. I feel lucky to have such nice memories though🥲 I loved this video so much, thank you for sharing your stories with us 🍂🕯

I would love a video about haunted experiences- it would be so cool!!! We did lots of scary stuff as kids with our parents too! I love your perfect October night description I love candied apples I loved this video!
Omg Lindy, this video was so touching and nostalgic to me! You brought back so many memories! Watching the wonderful world of Disney on Sunday evenings was the best and I had forgotten about the Weekly Reader. I’d get so excited when my books would come in and couldn’t wait to read them. I have the Charlie Brown halloween special on dvd and watch it every halloween. And never apologize for tears. I can get very emotional thinking back on my wonderful childhood and longing for those days. Thanks so much for this awesome video!❤
Oh my goodness I am so happy to have come across your channel! Your voice is so soothing and this video is amazing!!!! Sending love to you and any affected by the storms ❤
My dad used to work for a school district and would bring home a projector and those old tins of film reels. Most of them were short, educational films, but I found the 1949 Disney Legend of Sleepy Hollow in one of them. I learned how to thread a film projector because I watched it so much and I was only five years old. Such a classic.
Sending love and hugs from Sydney Australia, thank you for sharing your memories with us. I love your channel! Yes please, I would love to hear your ghost stories!
I love, love, love that you did this video! I so enjoyed listening to all of your answers- this was so lovely to watch over breakfast this morning! The nostalgia is real 🥺🫂❤️ Also, I love that wall hanging 😍- and of course you made it! There is nothing you can't do- you inspire me so much! 🥰
Oh Lindy, what a sweet soul you are ~ please never apologize for crying! 💜 We all love hearing your stories because they all come from your huge heart! I for one would love a video of ghost stories! Also, Martha Stewart has been a big part of my life - my beloved Nana and I always used to watch her program but especially her Halloween specials! Anyway, always love your videos and I hope your Halloween season is wonderful and full of lots of love and fun! 🎃
I got in a bad car accident last week and have been so anxious driving. This video was perfect to listen to while I was in the car earlier - not enough to make me sleepy, but perfect to feel calm. Thank you ❤
Lindy - sending big hugs from the UK!! In the words of Don Draper, "Nostalgia - it's delicate but potent." Halloween has never been big here but is slowly starting to become more of a thing that's celebrated - I myself have Halloween decorations that I usually put up, and where nobody else does it my friends all think I am crazy! So I personally loved this video and will be checking out all of your recommendations as I try to create my own Halloween memories and traditions - thank you so much!!!!
Hi Betsi! Thank you! I felt that hug. :D Your name is beautiful and I love the spelling of it. When you were a little girl, did you read the Betsy, Taci and Tib stories by Maud Hart Lovelace? Because of those books, I always loved the name Betsy! And yes, check out the recommendations. You might find something new and fun to explore. Ah, Mad Men. Loved that TV show and the Don Draper quote. Take care!
What a nice nostalgic look at Halloweens of the past. I had no idea that spooky thrills and chills were your cup of tea! Halloween did not play a great role in my growing up, but I loved seeing it through your excited eyes. It’s worth noting that as the tradition of kids trick-or-treating has ebbed over time, Halloween has become much more of an adult holiday, where spooky costumes have given way to spicy ones. A sign o’ the times. Thanks for the video. My only disappointment was that there was no pic of you posing as Dolly Parton! 🤣
You so much! And I’ll have to post that picture of us as Dolly and Kenny, it’s on my phone. Hope you have a great evening and thanks for watching and commenting!
Thank you, Rachel. :D My grandmother gave that to me when I was about 19. She was an avid yard sale and thrift store shopper, and I'd say it came from one of those two places. Hope your day is good!
Those Disney evenings with family and then everyone having a shared experience at school.... great times. Sometimes I think the extra choice we have nowadays actually reduces our sense of community. Anyway, great ASMR.
I live in Buffalo and the reproduction candles you have are based on gurley candles that were made here! I have wayyyy too many from every holiday🤣but I just love them!! ❤
Growing up in Canada in the 2000’s we had something similar called scholastics. You would go to a book fair at one of the classrooms order books from a form.
Lindy hello!!! I just watched this sweet video you brought me tears talking about your mother. But they are those special memories of our wonder years. Growing up as I did in a large city we weren’t as lucky as you and your brother in the sense that they didn’t have all that kind of stuff in the city as they do in the country. Though they both city or country are both wonderful places just different….. but both wonderful just the same. I remember one year I was a pilgrim and my mother made my outfit for Halloween and she was a really wonderful sewer. That was probably one of my favorite costumes that I ever wore. She always made the sweetest costumes and when my son was little, she did the same for him. We had lots and lots of houses to go trick-or-treating too of course…. because in a big city there are lots of homes…. we had fun trick-or-treating. Though My brother and I went to a private Christian school so we didn’t celebrate too much of Halloween in school. I wish my school had done all the things that you did it sounded so fun🎉 and I have to say I love making roasted pumpkin seeds as well as you do there one of my favorites. I loved to hearing all the stories you had to tell we had a haunted house on the street that I grew up on it was a big old single home that we used to run by and even every other day of the year because we were always scared of it, but you certainly have had some wonderful memories at Halloween. I did a lot of things with my son because we didn’t live in the city anymore, we lived in a suburban area, so we were able to do that with My Son we didn’t do that when I was a child once in a while we would stop at a pumpkin patch if we were visiting relatives or something like that but my dad worked in center city he was an architectural engineer, so we lived in the city and would go to the Poconos in the Summer….my dad stay home and was working the stereotypical live in the city away in the summertype thing. I would love to hear about that house you went through that you were looking in the windows and also about your family farm that is still in the family. I would love to hear scary stories about that. It sounded like you had the wonderful imagination. Thank you my dear Lindy for making the end of my day a relaxing one you are special and greatly loved by all!!!❤ Love, Esme’🤎🎃🍁 Ps. My favorite Halloween memory was before I was school age 4 maybe and my best girlfriend’s sister would take us out trick or treating and her name was Barbie and she looked just like Barbie. I thought she was so pretty. It’s so sweet and nice and course my girlfriend and I had a ball. It was certainly the wonder years as I said everything was just so special.❤
The Wonder Years...I love that and it is exactly what they were. Did you watch that TV show too? It was SO good! I love that your Mama made your costumes and reading about what you did with your son when he was little. Thank you for sharing this little slice of your life with us, my precious friend!
