I've been playing video games since the 90s and Mario Odyssey is the only game to ever make me cry from actual happiness. It felt like a perfect celebration of decades of playing video games.

Yeah I agree. In my opinion it’s definitely the best Mario game ever released. Mario’s never felt so incredible to control and each world is filled to the brim with secrets and gameplay variety. It nails what a Mario game should do in my opinion. 👍👍

This game desperately deserves a sequel
I think this game'is a masterpiece best left untouched. One thing I expect ti see in the future Is an open-world Mario game. Thus would be the concept of Mario 1 crancked up to 11, where instead of you being a One man Army conquering many different castles, you get ti help different factions at war in the Mushroom Kingdom, Like the Penguins in the new Mario film, for example.
I’d love a new game to, I’m playing Mario maker 2 at the moment i love that to unlimited Mario levels

Thanks so much for making this. It's crazy but I actually think this game is underrated. It's head and shoulders the best Mario game imo, but I've noticed a lot of people firmly placing it as their 2nd favorite after 64, Sunshine, or Galaxy (2). Those are all great games, but Odyssey is a celebration of Mario in a way that those other games aren't.
Definitely my favorite Mario game, my favorite game on Switch, and my game of the year that year.
People who say 64’s the best mario game is definitely blinded by nostalgia
My favorite tiny detail was the text in the menu on the darker side of the moon that said, "Seeing the Bright Side - From here you can observe galaxies shining in ways you never could from home. Culmina Crater features vistas entirely unique from those you can find on the Dark Side of the Moon and Honeylune Ridge. If you're feeling down or disheartened, just take a look up at the Milky Way from here.
You can see each star twinkle as they nestle closer to one another.

As someone who grew up with 64 and always placed it as my favorite 3d mario game, ever since Odyssey came out, it took the number one spot. Mario 64 was the blueprint and more influential but I believe Odyssey surpassed it. Its such an amazing experience and it does so many things right. Desperately needs a sequel imo.
God, I need to play this game again...
This just makes me want to play Odyssey all over again as a New Game!
Let's hope we get a sequel that has just as many small touches.

I got this game with my switch just over 3 years ago and I’m still playing it now amazing game i haven’t even got all the moons yet this games a masterpiece I’ve put over 40 hours into it and I’m going to get everything it’s one of those games that just make you happy to play lol and is just fun something a lot of games aren’t anymore

What a great tribute to Mario Odyssey! I started out on the NES / SNES games and Mario 64 came out when I was 6. I’ve always kept 64 at the top of my favorite Mario games list… until Mario Odyssey came out. Odyssey is now what I would consider to be the all-time best 3D Mario game. It’s an immaculate piece of software.
The first time i played this game i gathered with some friends, and we got drugged high on acid/lcd...

If you're a non-tendo kid who didn't grow up with Mario games you'll have a hard time understanding the "default praise" Mario (and other nintendo icon) games get in general. I played this game, enjoyed it! Thought it was a cool experience! But man, I have such a hard time understanding people thinking it's one of the best games ever.😩

You know the legend of Zelda franchise turned open world, sonic is becoming open world, and even pokemon is turning fully open world so it would be pretty amazing for mario to become open world as well

Odyssey was good, but for me, the best 3D mario is still Galaxy.
False advertising, there's a pink one.
This game does so much right, but lacks in the most important areas, which is what made it such a disappointment. The level design and gameplay loop (something that Mario games have always been amazing in) were not good here.
Graphics, atmosphere, and fan service are nice, but if the game design isnt there, then it just feels cheap.

Idk I wouldn't consider this to be a Mario game for the ages now if we got like a super mario like the one on 64 ten times better than yes in my opinion although I do love the world's and collecting the moons in here but they could have done a lot more

@@Murphys_Law9 3D World is my least favourite out of all the 3D Mario games, besides 3D Land. Still a phenomenal game but in comparison to Mario’s other 3D adventures, it doesn’t hold up as well.

4. Super Mario Galaxy 2

nah, it felt too short, then stuffed with a collectahon to pad it out. i thought SM3, Mario 64 and Super Mario World are far better - by the end of those, you felt like you'd been on a long winding fun adventure
