- Well looks like there are things that don't make sense in other video games besides The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. This time were looking at a super serious and realistic game or Super Mario Odyssey. Yes I am going to be applying real world logic to Super Mario Series.

It appears that there are even more strange things I noticed during my time playing The Legend of Zelda breath of the wild. So strange in fact that I made yet ANOTHER video about it going over EVEN MORE things that don't make sense to me, 30 more things in fact. Yes I am going to be applying real world logic to The Legend of Zelda breath of the wild yet again.

hate to break it down but nintendo saw us saying toad haed "hat" so they add a tip in the mario wonder game its hard to find
You see, mario can breath perfectly fine in space beacause there is no water in space which would prevent him from breathing

Also the interior of New Donk City Hall makes no sense structurally. It's just a hollow shell with no stairs or elevators; the only way up is through a few scant platforms and poles. Glad I don't work there. And no, this is not some wacky castle that Bowser built, this is an office building built for the people of New Donk City.

If I remember correctly, the map in Cloud Kingdom has a reason for the standing on clouds thing. They were some sort of different material I think.

The shadow below Mario is probably just to help with 3D perception. I think it debuted in Mario 64 when 3D hit
That's exactly it! Regardless, from a logical perspective, it makes no sense.
@@InfiniteBits Mario and all other objects are just translucent. We can't see it because of holograms displayed on top of this objects, but we can see how it affects the shadows.

For the needing moons to go to next kingdom ones, I believe that is the amount of fuel needed to discover the a new kingdom and map a route to go to it, that is why when you preview a kingdom through a painting, the Odyssey isn't there, because the location and the route to the kingdom isn't registered yet.

At #17, there are 2 possibilities: The locals could utilize the warp paintings if they're in a kingdom that has one, or they could ride in/borrow from the kingdoms that do (like the Toad Brigade's shop ship or the airships in Cap Kingdom). (Also applies to Hint Toad, Peach, Luigi, etc.)
Two words: Taxi airships.

Here’s my ideas for why this stuff is in the game
1: The support is for decoration and has spikes to look edgy
2: The doors are simply for decoration and cant open
3: Maybe Mario only feels pain if his head feels it? Idk about this one
4: Odyssey has a autopilot mode that isn’t mentioned?
5: The chairs are for decoration or visitors that aren’t Bonnetons
6: Tourism
7: Moons are like gas, it costs money because it’s an energy source
8: The more moons you collect, the more power you have, so maybe some areas are farther away but since the last time you visited you collected so many moons that it isn’t a problem
9: The 2 spots on each side of his head are ears
10: The Wooded Kingdom has a opening for tourists, the Broodals broke in some how or bypassed security
11: Maybe this moon is diffrent from ours so it uses breathable oxygen
12: The cave is made differently so the gravity is different?
13: Peach likes to take risks
14: Mario never cared about Yoshi
15: Some platforms are made to look like clouds to blend in
16: Not sure about this one actually
17: The residents are just stuck or there is a transportation system such as flying taxi’s
18: They use the flying taxi’s OR the people live there lol
19: Internet?…
20: The Broodals are Mutated rabbits made by Bowser
21: Some doors are hidden so random people don’t go in
22: Cappy is too lazy to capture certain things
23: Invisible wires to make them less obvious
24: Mario is so chubby he leaves a shadow in shadows
25: The goombas feet make shadows??
26: The odyssey is cheaply made
27: Floating Islands
28: Those are poisonous mushrooms
29: They secretly follow Mario around or they are illusions
30: They’re just cheap dumb scooters
I have no idea why I made this comment these are just my assumptions. By the way, great video Infinite!

You have great ideas, but I think I can make some improvements:
11: Cappy supplies breathable air to Mario
12: The cave just moves really fast like a rocket start simulator for the convinience of Bowser's minions
17, 18 and 29: Scientists in the Mario universe (E.Gadd perhaps?) have found a way to teleport and everyone besides Mario and Cappy (they are broke) has the devices
19: Those wires are for the hat ghosts that can capture sparks
21: The electricity bills were too high
27: The land was too expensive so Bowser had to remove some (in this world you pay for volume, not for area) + Minecraft physics
Yoshiaki Koizumi (producer) said that Toad's mushroom is his head. The cartoons are not canon (as much as there is a Mario "canon"). Or maybe Toad just ripped part of his head off.
And in Mario wonder, a loading screen tip says it is NOT a hat, but his head
My full list of rebuttals for these:
1. The supports are supposed to be floating, because they are connected to the bridge, and are simply for decoration
2. The land on the other side was removed
3. The water isn’t deep enough
4. The odyssey is simply a universal being, that appears everywhere
5. The residents of Cap Kingdom are ghosts, because they died, so the ship was built before + Bowser destroyed the kingdom
6. Local currency is rarer, and they opened the shop before everyone disappeared(?)
7. Same reason you need money to pay for gas
8. My guess is that the odyssey only needs power for places it’s never been to, and the fastest route back is simply to take the route before, therefore saving energy; ALTERNATIVELY, the energy the moons created are built for different kingdom travelling
9. Toads’ ears are microscopicly small, like bugs, and the TV show is non-canon
10. The broodals broke the doors, duh
11. He has natural resistance to the space
12. The doorways to exit is really long, like the entrance to bring you back up
13. Peach is OP
14. Yoshi is tired of being ridden on also he can respawn indefinitely
15. Different materials
16/17/18. Again, the NDC’s roads are unfinished/were destroyed and yes the residents are stuck
19. Natural destruction, duh and the wires between kingdoms are to connect electricity
20.DIFFERENT SPECIES
21. The rooms were closed down
22. The question mark thing has magic
23. Invisible wires
24. Double shadows are due to lighting
25. Double shadows here are normal
26. The balloon is either a projection or it’s less dense enough to be passed through
27. Clouds blocking the bottom
28. SPECIES, THEY EXIST and Yoshi has always been able to eat mushrooms
29. There are multiple Luigis and Peaches
30. The motorcycle is made of a different material, and so are the gates

What's more impressive is that developers wanted you to fly through the balloon because you can see actual structure like metal.
Dude have you ever played the game? The balloon shows those metal structures before you get the power moons.
About the bunny situation in Mario Odyssey, Undertale can relate. There's this one bunny in Undertale that has a normal-looking bunny on a leash by them, that the not normal bunny claims is related to them. One is a bunny "monster", while one bunny that's hooked onto a leash just looks like a normal bunny
Then there's the cinnamon bunny
Well bowser does have a little magic guy so mabey he terns them in to the weird bunnies

About double shadows, that's actually possible on certain lighting situations. Like, in the gym at the school I used to go to, due to how many lights and their placements in there, I casted two shadows while inside it. I don't think though, that the same situation can be applied to Mario Odyssey, so, you're correct it makes no sense

Double shadows do exist but require two points emitting light. It's where both points are obstructed.
I've seen triple shadows before.

Another weird thing in Mario odyssey is that when cappy first turns into Mario’s hat, he magically knows to throw him and knows exactly how. 🤨
That's just proof of how compatible they are with each each other. It's like how when you have that first kiss with you're special someone, you somehow both know exactly what to do (... or so I've heard).
Or is Cappy controlling Mario the entire time?

Something that doesn't make sense to me is how can mario literally jump on a hat and it still be fine but in the ending cutscene (spoilers alert) cappy can't lift up mario from falling in to bowser's pit trap.
I mean, giving someone a quick boost is easier than continually using energy to lift or drag someone

Toad having a hat was actually retconned. Nintendo confirmed a few years ago that’s his head, not a hat. I still don’t know how he hears anything though.
My theories for each of these:
1. Bowsers castle is on top of either a huge mountain or just a huge platform in the middle of nowhere, it’s so high up you can’t see below. The support beams for the bridge are just for decoration
2. New donk city’s main theme is construction, so they aren’t actually finished building the city. New donk city probably originated not long ago, so they are working to rebuild their city.
3. He is cold, but his entire body isn’t fully submerged in the water, the shallow parts of the water are warmer and once Mario goes farther, he starts to freeze due to the high temperatures
4. During the cutscene when you go to another kingdom, you can see mario and Cappy aren’t controlling the vehicle. The odyssey obviously has an autopilot mode, and mario or Cappy probably set some command to the odyssey telling it to go to the kingdom in the painting before they went in.
5. The residents of cap kingdom not only live in the odyssey’s, they also drive them. It would make sense that they have companies who sell odysseys to other residents of kingdoms, the chairs were probably invented for the people that bought the odyssey (considering many kingdoms local people have legs)
6. Green toad is probably stranded in lost kingdom, he transformed his odyssey into a shop, hoping to raise local money to return to mushroom kingdom
7. Yeah, peach is kidnapped. Still, that doesn’t mean that the toads can give away free stuff in the shop. It could lead them to being jobless. there is not many jobs to work in mushroom kingdom. They still need to raise money for their families.
8. The odyssey doesn’t need a certain amount of power to enter a certain kingdom, the odyssey doesn’t lose power so mario and Cappy could easily travel back to previous kingdoms. I think this whole “collect a certain amount of power moons” is just a goal Cappy is setting. The more power the odyssey has, the more faster it flys. So Cappy just wants to power up the odyssey to make their mission quicker. Imagine sailing across the ocean on a sail boat with half a sail, it would be like that if mario and Cappy did not collect power moons. It could also be an Exuse Cappy made so he can explore each kingdom.
9. The super mario bros super show is not cannon. Toads mushroom is part of his head. Like some animals, toad probably has some muscle inside his head that allows him to hear.
10. This one’s tough, I think mario and Cappy were let into the wooden kingdom by the locals, the broodals though, probably broke the dome by crashing into it.
11. In super mario galaxy, mario can also breathe in space, I think Rosalina is watching over him and adjusting the atmosphere so that he can breathe and save peach. This one confuses me, feel free to tell me your theories in the replies!
12. Once again, I don’t know. I think it’s Rosalina once again making sure mario doesn’t die on his journey to save the princess.
13. Bowser abandoned the dragon, I don’t think he cares since he isn’t being payed any more.
I’m gonna keep updating this, so hopefully I awnser everything. Feel free to make fun of my opinion down in the reply’s 😀

Here's another thing: When Mario captures, say a Goomba, how can enemies tell that it's him while characters like Toads think he's the real thing?
Toads are simply scared of Goombas in general, i guess

Heres something that dosent make sense:
Why cant you see any stars in Moon Kingdom? You can see stars in places like Dark Side, Darker Side, and Lake Kingdom so its not like stars dont exist in SMO. In kingdoms like Cap, Sand, Wooded, Metro, Snow, and Ruined you cant see any stars but thats probably just because of the clouds blocking the way, or in Sand's case its just not late enough at night. But in Moon Kingdom there are no clouds to block any stars.
It could be because the sun is still out on the Moon Kingdom, and the sun is so bright, it outshines all the other stars in the sky. This happens on the moon in real life.
Look at the pictures from the Apollo 11 mission. During daytime on the moon, you can’t see any stars.
Light pollution. Go to any big city that has lots of lights and you won't see any stars at night. Then drive for a few hours to a more rural, less lit up area and then you will see all the stars that you couldn't see in the city.
I think the fact that you’re able to possess people is weird, because when you possess them, What happens to there soul? Does it just wait around until Mario decides to go and steal another persons body?
No. It loses control and stays inside until Mario exits their body.

well you see, the further the object thats blocking the sun has weaker shadows, because of light reflecting on certain objects. And because the part of you is closer to the ground than the rock, it has stronger shadows
From a gameplay POV, it is so you can line up your jumps.
Answer 8: The Odyssey does not use moons in the same way a rocket in our world uses fuel. Rockets in our world burns the fuel and uses the energy from that reaction to propel the rocket forward. So once all the fuel is burnt out, you can't go forward anymore. The Odyssey puts the moons in some sort of reactor, and both the energy and the physical products of this reaction are used to physically strengthen the sail of the ship permanently. And since the density of the atmosphere is slightly higher in the next world compared to that of the last, you need the sail of your Odyssey to be stronger each time you want to reach the next world.
So it's not that the energy from burning the moons makes you go forward like they do in our rockets (since that would mean you'd need more moons just to backtrack to previous worlds like you said). It's that the materials and energy generated from burning the moons in the reactor allows you to physically strengthen your sail permanently which means you can now fly to further away worlds with denser atmospheres and back whenever you wish. You would only need more moons if you want to go even further away since you would then need to have an even stronger sail since the atmosphere would be even denser.
Maybe it might have to do with how many moons there are in the game. (Really the only flaw. This game is beautiful!)
The taxis in the Metro Kingdom just drive around in circles. They don't even stop to pick up passengers. What kind of business are they running?
Where would the taxi even take anyone? Off that cliff I guess…

it's octopi not octopuses. the moons apparently change the ship's GPS or something.
i think the fact in most mario titles that when Mario touches lava he insta dies, yet in Odyssey , he just bounces up and is like is but is on fire

I believe that for 21, that Bowser used the magic of the Power Stars to modify Peach's Castle in order to hide the power stars. Odyssey is what the inside of the castle should look like. Just my little theory though.
1. What happened to the fuel in the motorcycles, oddesy and the cars in the metro kingdom? Is there a secret petrol station or something?
2. Also what do people eat in oddesy like the only time we EVER see food in oddesy is in the luncheon kingdom, how do people in metro travel to luncheon and back to get food?

Another thing that doesn't make sense about the scooter is that it can phase through buildings if a fence is nearby.

Did you have a closer look at the water and lava in this game? In Lake Kingdom, the water just stops at the dome even tho there are holes in it. But in the pit in said dome (where you find Captain Toad at the bottom) it's suddenly there again. And in Luncheon Kingdom.. The liquid appears to be hot but looks like bubblegum. And it just seems to float in the air in the weirdest shapes in some places.

About the breath on the moon thing IF you go out of a door/pipe that leads into water and dont move at all he can apparently breath underwater

The shadow thing is because light reflects off of other surfaces, casting indirect light, and Mario makes a second barrier, diffusing the light even more.
I have 2 other ones as well first, how Mario collect moons on moon kingdom second, when you turn into a stack of goombas you are controlling all the other goombas below you
