8:55 the same thing happened to me except with the super rs3m v2. I get rlly good times at home with it, except in comp my results are very bad. For my first two averages in my past comp with it I got a 13 avg (I avg 9), and then I switched to the tornado and got a 10 avg which is normal with comp nerves. I don’t know if anyone else has this problem but this could be a big issue, maybe with the rs3m v5 as well 🤔
I don't think it's the cube's fault, it's more that I'm just not as good with controlling my turning in competition. It's more of a me problem than the cube's fault, and it's something that I need to work on.
Nice video. I need some help please! I dismantled my v9 ball core, as to assure that all screws have the same distance from the core, but the tool that comes in the box is totally useless! In addition the threads of the screw are not visible once connected to the core. How on earth am I supposed to assure that all four screws are screwed at the SAME depth in the core, before putting the cube back together?
When you screw in the screws, count the number of rotations that you do and apply the same amount of rotations to each screw on all sides. This will get each screw roughly the same depth. After assembling the cube, pull apart the layers at the edges to check the tightness of each layer (the gap between the edge and the center piece), and you can make individual adjustments as needed. Don't worry too much about getting perfectly even tensions; as long as each layer is about the same, it doesn't really matter. Also yeah the tools are pretty useless :P
@@takodachi777 thanks a lot! As I didn't see the reply earlier, so what I ended up doing is screw to the last thread being visible and then count equal turns on each screw from that point onwards. Which is similar to what you suggest. Then visually checked as you suggest and eventually adjusted based on corner cutting and did a last visual check. I still wonder why on earth they included the old fashioned distance tools, with a ball core cube. Maybe they just have them in stock, who knows.
is it the picube special edition ? those come with blue compression cups. as for loose magnets, which kind are you talking about, edge-edge, corner-core, edge-core, etc?

Go for the Rs3m v5 it’s a bit blocky but it feels the same in my opinion
the v9 is good but i hate the feeling
