I drive a lot at night. I actually like it that there is no additional lighting or a screen in front of me. Gives my eyes rest
These two screens are keeping me awake at night!!! On the one hand, I love the 9 inch, perfect size, Linux OS, and (IMO) a much nicer looking HUD design. But then there's the 10.25 inch... Aside from having a massive profile, it has ALL the best features. The front camera, Autopilot blink warning, the GPS, the 4G antenna... Like I said this is literally keeping me awake at night. Thank you SO MUCH for a video showing them side by side. Despite how it sounds this did help me get closer to a decision.

What did you end up going with? The 10.25 or 9" any regrets ? I am leaning toward the 10.25 myself.
@@TheNetworkEngineer23 I kind of like 10.25” too but my wife said it’s too big and block more ac vent so I just changed to new 9” with OTA which I’ll be releasing the review video soon.

Have the 10" display, happy overall but here is my list of gripes:
-Screen needs antiglare
-the display is not oled so looks way different than the tesla screen at night
- the day screen is blue, why not white?
-Speed limit signs are not USA shape
-Wish the screen was just hardwired for audio so I could still Bluetooth my phone to the tesla

Both GPS options are good. I wish they could compact it it a bit more. I do like how it shows the hands free warning. In this case I feel like the Yoke is necessary. Does it get in the way of the MagBaK?
It doesn’t get in the way of MagBak charger at all. I love the interface and interchangeable graphics on 10.25” display.

Hi, Thanks for sharing this video. I just bought this device and installed in my Tesla Model Y 2023. I like it a lot. Anyway, one of the issues I have with this device is when connect the audio BT from my iphone to the device then to the Tesla Screen BT, there's a distortion of sound occured. Do you know how to resolve or eliminate this issue? I've tried many ways but could not do so.

Hi Dennis, the issue is not the display it’s the phone Bluetooth connection. Because when you output the sound to the car speakers it’s directly from the and not display.

Question about the screen and navigation. If I have Tesla Premium Connectivity subscription and use the built in Tesla maps/navigation will it show any navigation and directions on the Hanshow screen ?
Or does the navigation on the Hanshow only show with using the Android/Carplay google maps?
The navigation on the Hansshow only display Android/Carplay google map and other map apps.

Do you have to use a SIM card with the larger display screen? I would prefer not to. Thanks for the detail in this review.
You don’t have to use SIM card, it’s just an option. Since it has built-in WiFi on the display, you can also connect the display to the internet via WiFi hotspot from your phone.

Hi Dad'sToys love all your videos! I just bought the 10.25" dashboard display and i have a question, Is it possible to play music or videos through the instrument cluster's internal speaker? Despite trying all the settings, I cannot get the sound to come from the device's speaker. The only option is to connect to Tesla's Bluetooth and play the music via Tesla's speakers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Please try to switch the sound output on your phone. There should be phone, Tesla, and CarPlay device on sound output options on your phone.
Select CarPlay device then it should output the sound from the display.

Does the 10.25" screen got blocked by the steering wheel on 2023 Model Y? I am still debating which one to get. I love the bigger screen but afraid the steering wheel might block some portion of it. Btw, Thanks for the video.

It will. You can reposition the wheel to maximize the viewing area, but then you may compromise the wheel position. Even with the best position the top corners of the screen will be obstructed.
were you able to use the existing cable ? or you had to redo the install ?
10.25” display and 9” display have different wire harness you would have to reinstall the cable if switching from one display to another.

With the larger bezels on the 10.25" is it actually that much bigger? Can you measure the actual screen.
You can basically subtract 1/4 of an inch all around for the thicker bezel area on 10.25” display.

dear friend, i bought this screen the same as yours, i inserted a sim that needs to insert the apn manually, do you know if there is a way to insert it?
I never actually test the sim with 4G function on this 10.25" display.

@@dadstoyscars ok thanks it seems that if the APN is not automatic it cannot be entered manually, in Italy only the main operators have it, the cheaper ones do not work

Try the main menu on the display.
It should have default on auto dimming brightness.

Are u able to connect 2 Phones to the 10,25 inch screen and use free speak with Car Speakers?
I think you can only connect one phone at the time to the display.

Good comparison. I like both. But I’m worried about how they blocks vents… I suppose you can’t receive airfloss with them doesn’t it?
I adjusted the airflow to turn to left and right instead of blowing in the middle. It helped a little.

I was thinking about getting a cluster as well but if it blocks air flow i'm not sure I can get a huge screen@@portmanteau.
I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max with the latest update. Every time I get in the car, my phone defaults playing CarPlay media from the screen, instead of the Bluetooth in my car. Do you know how make the screen automatically play media to my car’s Bluetooth.
It will always default to the display but you quickly switch it to the car by swiping too right of your phone screen and change media connection to your car.

Does the carplay nav connect to the teslas nav?
CarPlay navigation only connects to your phone it Tesla but you can output the sound from display to Tesla’s speakers.

Is the 9" updatable thru air or USB? Just bought 9" because am afraid 10.25"
is too big. But 10.25" has front camera which is a nice feature. Any chance 9" will be updated to 10.25". Can you ask the developer? Awesome video.
9” display in the video can be updated via usb. There is a newer 9” display which has OTA update capability on their website. I don’t think you can update from 9” to 10.25” display.
Which version of 9” did you get?

I have already installed 9 inch android screen with camera installed on my M3, now I have also bought new 10.25 inch 4G screen, can I just replace screen with existing cabels, or they are different? I know I need add 4G antenna/cabel, just asking about all other cabels
I don’t think 9” has camera option.
So you bought 10.25” and want to connect it with your own camera?
I’m not if the plug is compatible with your existing camera.

so, do you think they are just for this screen or biased?
I would it is vary and depends on each individual preference on the size and option of the display. I can’t really tell about the display on Amazon as it might be different from the display from Hansshow which I tested in the video.

Can u activate google or Siri from the steering wheel controls with this?
Not from the steering wheel but since the display is connected to your phone via CarPlay you can say hey siri and your phone will detect it and it will show on the display.

Can you change the HP display to something else? In Hansshow's site, it looks like it's displaying the song being played with a batt icon at the bottom? Also, can you show navigation in between the gauges just like on their site?
I have tried many setting to change it on HP side but there is no option that I can change it. Same as map in the middle of display.

These are plug and play display units. You don’t have to cut any OEM wire at all. So you can remove anytime you want. I don’t have definite answer for you regarding warranty.

It does not void warranty since it is plug and play and does not involve cutting or otherwise permanently altering the vehicle. It is basically the same as putting on other wheels, you can always go back to the original.
Carplay and AA does NOT working. Other party cannot hear me. Do you have fix?
I never have issue with Apple CarPlay at all especially phone calls.
Did you try to contact Hanssow regarding your issue?
I will also try to reach out to them and see if they will have the solution.

Just bought and installed this display. Was wundering if you guys know if Hansshow will update/upgrade it.
The front camera will be triggered by "radar" according to the manual. But in the Model Y 2023 there is no "radar", only camera's. So when driving slow to park the car, there is then still no camera triggered, only manually. Wunder if Hansshow will upgrade this.
Automatic starting apps in Android is not working, even if configured in the apps, have to start manually.
Do you guys know if there are multiple ui to download, now it's only 3 ui.
I also asked these questions to Hansshow, but still today no answers, even after 3 times.
I reached out to Hansshow and they ask for your email or order number so they can better assist you with your issues.

Both are nice addition to Model 3 and Model Y. Definitely something that is missing from Tesla.
What about the cyber security of the M3 and MY after adding this devices.
They have their own operation system, which I doubt are very secure.
By connecting them directly to Tesla’s main unit would make the car vulnerable to hackers (specially the 10” which has mobile connectivity and OTA)?
The display only extracts information from MCU of the car. The display can not control anything to the car. I’m not sure even someone able to hack the display that person will be able to control the car.

That's a Kool display and all, But if I can't watch movies on it, then piss off!! I wanna watch TV shows when I drive. Now, am better at just grabbing a tablet in front of me.
Do it voice your Tesla warranty when putting these screams in your car
These are plug and play displays which can uninstall anytime. It doesn’t modify any OEM part of the car. So I don’t think it void the warranty.

I BOUGHT THE 10.25 INCH DISPLAY SCREEN AND THE 7 INCH REAR DISPLAY SCREEN, THEY MISSED UP WITH MY TESLA, WIPERS WERE ON EVEN WHEN I TURNED THEM OFF, THE 7 INCH SCREEN WAS MOSTLY NONRESPONSIVE.
NOW IM TRYING TO SEND THEM BACK FOR FULL REFUND BUT THEY DO NOT RESPOND BACK SO I THINK I'M GONNA DISPUTE THE TRANSACTION FOR THAT PURCHASE.
A COMPLETE SCAM.

Apple music on the MCU is going to make these displays less attractive to buyers.
