This weapon is so strong that I've been accused of hacking because people thought I was using an infinite grenade hack. If anyone tells you that the Boltgun is weak, this is the video you show them to change their minds.
The weapon shooting isnt strong, the grenade launcher with their innate trash clean, interrupt and NO reload animation are very good and the dmg is good for an "extra" an extra who get loaded easy by any ammo box These are in my opinion the strong points the weapon have, shine ever more if you are near of ammo crate to refill (with the stoopid no reload animations xD + tactical perks/class skill)
@OBEYxINSANITY I included a timestamp in the video where I showed the perk tree for all weapons used and the class. @Jonatan_Fernandez The gun works great for clearing hordes, and it can chip away at Majoris or higher. I totally get that it feels "off" when enemies tank 10 headshots and still live, but yeah, those infinite grenades are where it really shines! @CarlWByrne Appreciate the support! I think you're mistaking mere "effectiveness" for meta. META = MOST Effective Tactic Available. The mere existence of the melta gun already means everything else by definition is NOT meta. If you argue that there is more than 1 meta (which goes against the definition), then the word is meaningless because you can tweak your build to make anything effective.
@@DelDikDD META is on a per mission basis. If the boss can't be reached by the Melta, that tactic is not available. So, yes, multiple things can be meta.
Certain things could be more effective in certain scenarios, yeah. But there's no situation where bringing the melta isn't the best. The finale boss fights that are past melta range? It's the adds that are the most dangerous, not the boss. You want the melta. The only circumstance where you might not want the melta? Neurothrope. But even then you can fight it in melta range if you know how to dodge, AND it is a random spawn so it might not appear and your best bet is still to bring the melta in all scenarios. So no, currently there is no other meta.

In the start of video after you parried that extremis enemy they got auspex scan debuff or what was it? Im playing sniper and heavy so I really dont know talents for tactical 😁
There's a perk that gives enemies the Auspex debuff whenever you successfully parry. For a highly coordinated team, the alternatives that give more burst damage on Auspex Scan is better, but this perk is amazing for solo (or if your team is unreliable lol).
Oh, I just totally don't know there is the bolt rifle with grenade launcher like in campaign mode. I just don't want to melta all the way like vanguards and heavy. Nice I have a new favorite weapon to upgrade now.
Anything can. It's the contested health mechanic. Right now it seems to be glitched on high powered weapons, however, as it restores health beyond the contested health at times.

Darktide is INCREDIBLY boring at the beginning until you play the hardest difficulties. Unfortunately, also a bit of grinding to get there. You should give DT another chance if you have some time to put aside for leveling up!

Why? Why would a perk that reloads your gun not reload your gun? Grenades are part of your ammo for this specific gun, makes sense to me.

Yeah it kinda sucked in campaign because ammo was limited. Now it's unlimited on the Tactical class lol.
