- We recently took delivery of the long-awaited 2021 Suzuki RM-Z450. Yes, the RM-Z itself is still unchanged, however, Suzuki did introduce a new app for 2021 that allows consumers to tune the engine to their liking. We had SML test rider Pat Foster and well-known influencer Scub Daddy, also known as Biggie-Zoid, put the 2021 Suzuki 450 to the test at State Fair MX before gathering their thoughts on the machine.

I will have a rmz450 for life. The Suzuki is the best all around bike. The longevity is the best for the buck. The handling is incredible (superior). Kickstarter doesn't bother me at all. I prefer it.

From what I've seen over the years, Pat is a great guy and very knowledgeable in relating to rider of a more average skill verses his above average riding talent. He fed Scruby D well in the conversation analysis of that bike.

Bought the 2018 450. Changed the rear shock for Reiger Suspension.great lovely bike for a beautiful Day at the track. Still never had any issue with the bike. ✊✊

Nice to see an honest review on this bike not bashing it. That kickstart is its baggage for sure but they are great looking and a pushstart away from being a bike that hangs up top

Love seeing suzuki getting some real cred. Soooo underrated. Best handling bikes out there. Every one thinks they need a ktm or a yamaha. Yamaha feel like crap when you sit on them and are wide as a horse. The ktm are nice but feel like you are sitting on top, where the suzuki feels like you are in the cockpit .

Absolutely love Suzuki’s been on them since 1994! With my last one being a 2018 RMZ450 but being older as much as I love them the lack of the electric start made me switch to a 2021 KX450. I Ride Southwick a lot and man if you fall or stall it good luck trying to get your footing to start it. More then once I had to push it to flat ground to.. So the lack of it on the 21 pushed me to change. Love to see them add if I’m the future and catch up the the field!!

Suzukis are great bikes i dont know for some reason people always down gread them and push them aside
because no electric start maybe? they are all great bikes just what you are looking for
They shoot suzukis down because it always is last in the yearly shootouts and it just didn’t compare to any other bikes but 2021 Suzuki’s might be alright

My 09 RMZ has monster power vortec ECU Yoshi mirror exhaust super fast puts out 11,600 RPMs put it up against any new bike
I’m tired of kicking my 2008 YZ250F. If this bike had e-start, I would pick one up because I loved my RM65 back in the day. But since it doesn’t have the e-start, I’m leaning towards the CRF450R. Yeah, I’m lazy these days feeling dumb kicking the bike knowing that I don’t have to kick anymore if I upgraded to any other brand.

Tbh I'm just waiting for the electric start: I'm a big fan of Suzuki and I think it's the best looking bike but I'm lazy and when the bike is having issue it is a nightmare to only be able to kickstart it !!! Also because it always happen during summer on the hottest day of the year :D

When you said your sweet spot on the rear was by softening the compression and "adding rebound" - were you making the rebound harder or softer?
When they say add rebound to the rear shock does that mean slowing the rebound down so that it’s spending more time lower in the stroke?

i put a 2018 motor and EFI elctronics in my 2013 suzuki ride eng triple clamps lower link softer springs it works really well. i rode 2020 Rmz 450 i like mine better

Got a 19 450 factory connections Suspension a headlight skid plate graphics and a slip on fmf didn't break the bank gotta kick it but seems easier to start than my bros 2022 honda that push button turn motor alot before she start in guaranteed 2nd maybe 3rd at worst
