And awesome job with the run, that was clean :) A way harder challenge now in my opinion, and a run I've always wanted to try myself (however being way too bad at the game for this 😅) : A run in which you only use the gear that drops from enemies, BUT you cannot choose what you use, you always switch to the newest piece of gear you receive. It's like this run, but with a huge twist :P

i don't find malenia to be a hard fight after you learn how to fight her, she's pretty well telegraphed and staggers easily i just think she feels a bit out of place in elden ring and looks and feels like a sekiro boss. you can feel how satisfying the deflects would be during waterfowl and it'd be so satisfying to mikiri counter her stab. edit: also wanted to say how great the way you do the challenge runs is. most challenge runs end up feeling trivial because people rush to get the best upgrades but this run felt very fair
Malenia is definitely one of those bosses that's way easier once you get a feel for the fight. Sometimes she even gets stuck in a loop of the doing the same attacks. She would've been a cool boss in sekiro for sure. I still like her in Elden Ring though. Also, thanks! I try to progress through the game without getting too powerful early on. Sometimes it's hard though, since I know where everything is to get a +9 somber weapon before Margit lol

Margit isn't the hardest first boss in a souls game when you can get a +6 somber weapon before fighting him. My boi Gundyr is offended
Gundyr is a monster for new souls players. Margit/Morgott is just a personal nemesis of mine without the right gear.
Margit is hard if you don't prepare for him
